I woke up hungry.
After Ella left, I couldn't believe that I slept for two hours straight. It's been a while since I slept that way. I guess it's because I feel relieved seeing Ella again.I woke up tired and hungry, dusted my bed, and went straight to the wood to get something to eat( since what I planned on cooking with has been used by Ella this morning)I took my fishing net and some worms for bait and waited straight for the riverside. When I got to the river, I was so lucky because as soon as I put in my fishing net filled with worms for bait, I got a lot of fish.I gathered some sticks together and made a fire to roast the fish after the fish was ready. I said a little prayer, and burnt some part to Goddess Luna as a sacrifice, thanked her for providing these fish, and also prayed to her for good fortune to come my way. After eating, I decided to rest for a while before I head back to the pack then I heard someone singing from afar. The voice is the definition of ethereal! It was so attractive. He was humming lyrics that sound like ancient English. I wondered who could be singing with such a melodious voice, and where the voice was coming from. I trailed the place the voice was coming from and followed the rhythm of the song. "This must be an angel singing," I whispered to myself. As I got closer to the place where the sound was coming from, my heart was beating fast due to the fear of not knowing what could be there singing. Is the person a werewolf or an angel or a demon? I thought, but I mustered the courage to follow the voice and see who was there. I got to the front of a cave and I felt the voice stronger and closer. The cave was a gloomy, ominous location that was surrounded by darkness and intrigue. Its rough walls were wet and the air was heavy with the musty smell of decay and dirt. The stalactites and sharp rocks were covered in spooky shadows created by the sparse bioluminescent mushrooms that provided the sole illumination.I perceived a strong musky, earthy, wild smell. The cave radiated power. It was the ideal area for a werewolf to hide out, a place where you could withdraw from the outside world without worrying about being discovered. So with the strong smell and all, I assume a werewolf would be in here, and not just anyone, but an alpha werewolf. "Wait! An alpha werewolf?" I said with a surprised look.******** Adolph walked down to the woods, he enjoyed the walk like a young cub released by his mum. He acted like a bird that just had his first flight. He took a halt at the front of the river to have some water. After taking enough to quench his thirst, he stepped ahead and continued his journey. "Life is so sweet without distractions and tasks" Adolph whispered to himself. The workload of an alpha king of the strongest park is overwhelming but he has been taking responsibility seriously, even with pressure on his neck, and all, he did not allow that to stop him and weigh him down so anytime things get hard, he comes to wood to relax, and calm his nerves. As a king, you must be strong and willful. You must never show off your weak points. The wood is the only place he can feel weak, and with no one noticing. A werewolf king's mood can be felt by his people anytime he is close to them, and he dares not scare the people, or else there may be some uneasiness among the werewolves which can be disastrous for some time.Adolph settled down at a cave and started humming some songs that his mother's maid taught him while he was young. Even though he was taught while he was young, he could still remember the lyrics so well. It was his favorite song. The song was an ancient English song composed by a beta werewolf centuries ago. His mother's maid told him that she was being taught that song by her great-grandmother. He heard footsteps but ignored them and continued humming his song. ********* I went ahead to check what was in the cave. From afar, I saw a man sitting on the floor. Our eyes met, and he enquired, "who are you?"His voice was deep and made the cave echo. He stood up and I was able to notice the details about him.He has red piercing eyes, dark hair, long legs, muscular, and an imposing figure with broad shoulders and a defined chest. Even with the darkness around, I could see how stunning he was. He came to my side and shouted "Who are you?" once again, but this time, I could sense fear in him( that kind of one you have when you are caught doing a bad thing).I burst into laughter. His expression was so funny, I couldn't control the laughter that I had to laugh it out."What was that for? Why are you laughing?" "Oh, I am sorry for laughing but your expression was funny.""Do you know who I am, if you knew who I was, you wouldn't laugh that way!"He queried me, and I explained to him that I was an Omega werewolf from the Sunshine pack. I told him a few things. He was a good listener. "So you are in the woods for fishing." "I guess you are an alpha king, but you are not the king of Sunshine Pack, where are you from? And what are you doing here alone? Where are your escorts?" I inquired. He told me this was his hideout, a place where he comes to relax from stress without being noticed. He is the Alpha of the strongest pack, the Moonlight pack. I was dumbfounded because he looks different from how he was being described. Everyone talked about how young he was but they never explained well how handsome he was. I had always pictured him as a small boy but he is looking different from what I imagined. How come his voice is familiar? but I couldn't remember where I heard his voice. He called my attention since I was deep in thought."Don't you ever tell anyone you saw me today, if I found out that you did, I will have no choice but to kill you!"I responded by bowing my head, and swearing that I won't tell anyone about our encounter. "It is getting late, I have to get back to my pack."He informed me.I bid him goodbye and told him I have to leave also as it is late already, and my pack members might start looking for me. He gave me the "I am watching you" look. We both left the wood at the same time and went our separate ways. I guess I am using all my luck this week. First, I was saved by my mate in my dream. Now, I also met the King of the strongest park. I knelt on my bed and looked through the window, counting the number of stars I could notice, and appreciating how bright the moon was. As I lay there, counting the stars outside your window, I began to feel drowsy. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep, and soon I was lost in a dream.Adolph found himself thinking about Scarlett."Why am I even thinking of someone I just met today?" Adolph whispered to himself. As Adolph sat in his living room, lost in thought, he suddenly felt a strange presence in the room. He looked up and saw a beautiful woman standing before him. She had long, flowing silver hair and a serene expression on her face."Who are you?" Adolph asked, feeling both intrigued and intimidated by the stranger's appearance."I am Luna, the goddess of the moon," the woman replied. "I have come to you because you have been chosen as my messenger.""Your messenger?" Adolph repeated, feeling even more confused."Yes," Luna replied. "I have a message for you, Adolph. The girl you met today, Scarlett, is your mate."Adolph's heart skipped a beat as he heard the goddess's words. Could it be true? Could he have already found his soulmate?Luna seemed to read his thoughts and smiled knowingly. "Yes, Adolph, it is true. Scarlett is the one you have been waiting fo
I went ahead to continue my daily activities. As an assistant physician of Sunshine Pack, my main responsibility was to assist the pack physician in taking care of the health needs of the pack members. My day was usually filled with tasks such as checking the vital signs of patients, administering medications, treating wounds, and performing routine medical examinations. I loved my job, and I was passionate about providing the best care possible to the werewolf community. As I was wrapping up my morning rounds, the pack physician, Dr. Grey, called me into her office."Good morning, Scarlett," she said as I entered the room. "I wanted to talk to you about something important.""Of course, Dr. Grey," I replied, taking a seat across from her."I've been impressed with your work here at the pack, Scarlett. You have a great bedside manner and a natural talent for medicine," Dr. Grey said. "That's why I wanted to ask if you would consider taking on a more significant role within the pack's
Adolph woke up early the next morning, feeling restless and unable to sleep. His mind was consumed with thoughts of Scarlett and the possibility of winning her over. As he lay in bed, he made a decision - he was going to go to her pack and try to talk to her in person. At 5 am, Adolph got up and dressed quickly. He didn't want to waste any time. He went to find Louis and told him about his plan."I'm going to the Sunshine pack, Louis. I have to try to talk to Scarlett," Adolph said, his voice determined.Louis nodded in understanding. "Okay, I'll walk you to the edge of the woods. But you have to be careful, Adolph. You don't know what you might be walking into."Adolph thanked him and together they made their way to the edge of the woods. Louis wished him luck and then turned back to his own house.Adolph walked through the woods, his heart pounding with anticipation. He had never been to the Sunshine pack before, but he knew it was the home of the girl who is his mate. As he walked
Adolph trudged along the winding path that cut through the dense forest. His legs padded softly against the ground, his muscles rippling with every step he took. He was an Alpha and a proud one at that. His pack was the strongest in the forest, feared and respected by all who lived within its bounds. As an Alpha, he was always alert, even in familiar surroundings. As he walked, he noticed that something was following him. At first, he thought it might be another predator, but he didn't sense any danger. Since he is an Alpha, he has learned to trust his instinct. He slowed down and listened carefully. His sharp ears picked up the sound of footsteps, but they didn't sound like those of a predator. They were too light and hesitant, more like those of a prey animal. He sniffed the air, trying to catch a scent, but it was too faint to identify.Adolph decided to investigate. He didn't want to lead any danger back to his pack, so he needed to make sure that whatever was following him posed
I couldn't believe my eyes as I approached the person sitting by the pond. The closer I got, the more I realized that the person was shining and radiating like the sun. I felt drawn to this person, but I couldn't quite place why. It was as if they had some kind of magical pull on me.As I walked closer, I started to wonder who this person could be. What was I even doing in this garden in the first place? I couldn't remember how I had gotten there or why I was there. But as I got closer to the person, I noticed that they looked so much like me. It took a while for me to realize that the person was my mother. My mother passed away when I was still very young, and I didn't remember much about her. But seeing her now, sitting by the pond and smiling at me, I felt like I was seeing her for the first time. I couldn't believe how much we looked alike, with the same features and the same smile.I was overcome with emotion as I approached her. I wanted to run to her and hug her, to tell her ho
I woke up that morning feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. It was a special day in the Sunshine pack, the day of the health orientation program. As the appointed werewolf responsible for enlightening my fellow pack members about our health and well-being, I wanted to make sure I did a good job.I got ready quickly, ensuring that I didn't forget anything I needed for the day. The pack center was buzzing with activity as werewolves from all corners of the territory gathered, eager to learn and improve their health. Dr. Grey, our pack's respected physician, stood by my side, ready to offer guidance and support.Taking a deep breath, I stepped forward and addressed the pack. "Good morning, everyone! Today, we have come together to learn more about our health as werewolves and how we can take better care of ourselves. Our well-being is essential not just for ourselves, but for the entire pack."I proceeded to share my knowledge and experiences with them, discussing the importance
Louis made his way through the grand corridors of the Moonlight pack's mansion, his footsteps echoing in the silence of the late afternoon. He couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement tinged with a touch of nervousness as he approached the maids' quarters. The impending arrival of Scarlett, Adolph's mate, had everyone on edge, ensuring that everything was in perfect order for her arrival. As he entered the bustling room, Louis glanced around, taking note of the maids diligently working to ensure everything was prepared to their utmost standards. He smiled, appreciating their dedication and attention to detail. The maids, in their elegant uniforms, turned to greet Louis, their faces mirroring a mixture of anticipation and nervousness."Is everything in place?" Louis asked, his voice filled with both curiosity and assurance."Yes, sir," one of the maids responded, her voice a gentle lilt. "We have made sure that everything is prepared according to your instructions. The rooms are im
"Scarlett," Adolph's voice resonated with authority and affection. "Welcome to the Moonlight pack. We are honored to have you as our Luna."I couldn't help but blush at his words, but I tried to hide it. This was the beginning of a new chapter in my life, and to be greeted with such warmth and respect filled me with a sense of belonging.Adolph continued, introducing me to the various members of the pack who served in the Alpha's palace. The maids and guards bowed their heads in deference, their eyes filled with reverence as they acknowledged their new Luna. The realization of my role and responsibilities settled upon me, and I vowed to do everything in my power to lead with grace and compassion. The head servant stepped forward, a woman of regal poise and wisdom. "Luna Scarlett, please allow us to show you to your quarters. We have prepared a room befitting your status."I nodded, grateful for their guidance. The head servant led me through the palace's opulent halls, the soft echo o
The events of the previous day gradually filtered back into my memory as I woke up. I recalled the wonderful recovery I had brought about for Adolph, the man I loved more than anything in the world, my heart fluttered with joy. Adolph walked into the room as if reading my mind, his eyes glistening with a secret he could no longer keep to himself. My heart warmed at his sight, at his commanding presence, at his unshakable affection."There is something I need to tell you, Scarlett," he said, his voice tinged with a mixture of astonishment and joy. With my interest awakened, I grinned at him and invited him to speak about whatever was on his mind. Saying, "What is it, Adolph?"He broke the news that had made him so happy with a compassionate face. "Scarlett, you're carrying our child."I was unsure of the meaning of the words for a little period of time as they hung in the air. Then, like a tsunami, the realisation swept over me. Adolph would become a father, and I would become a mothe
I took a deep breath and started to go up to each patient one at a time. I held out my hand and used the healing power the Moon goddess had given me to softly touch their foreheads. I could feel the warmth of my touch spreading throughout their bodies as the energy streamed from me. Their expressions changed as I went from one person to the next, from suffering to relief to hope. The pack's physician and his assistants were astounded to see the once-pale faces come to life and take on colour. As they realised that our pack had finally experienced healing, gratitude filled their eyes. My eyes started to tear up, not from grief but from the intense feelings I was feeling at the time. The doctor of the pack remarked, his voice full of awe, "Thank you, Luna Scarlett. Our pack has been given a second chance at life thanks to you."I grinned, a mixture of pride and modesty filling my heart. "It's not just me," I said in response. "The Moon goddess is the one who saved us. And you all made t
With a start, I awoke to see my surroundings illuminated by an ethereal, otherworldly light. My original assumption was that I had entered the werewolf afterlife known as Elysium. However, as my senses became more acute, I understood that I was still very much alive. Not in her regular shape but rather as a display of her real power, the Moon goddess stepped in front of me. I received a fleeting glimpse of it before my life vanished, a sight that should have been impossible for mortal eyes to see."Am I really in Elysium?" My voice quivered in amazement and perplexity as I questioned. The Moon goddess grinned warmly, exuding a presence that was at once incredibly strong and utterly compassionate. "No, my dear, you are still among the living."I exhaled a sigh of relaxation as appreciation flooded my body. I'm grateful to the moon goddess for saving my life."I must apologise, Scarlett," she said, her eyes displaying a trace of regret. You perished because that was me in my actual form
I was standing in front of Adolph when I realized that this might be our final embrace and our last time together.I clutched on Adolph as if my life depended on it as his arms embraced me in a warm, loving hug. We both had tears streaming down our faces as a bittersweet monument to the love we had for one another.Adolph muttered inconsolably, "I don't want to let you go," his voice shaking with sorrow.Although his words mirrored my own, I realized there was nothing else to do. In an attempt to permanently imprint the memory of his aroma and touch into my very being, I squeezed him closer while buried my face in his shoulder.Adolph touched my ear and whispered, "I love you, Scarlett."Even though I was choking on emotion, I was still able to speak through the tears. Adolph, I also adore you with all of my heart.Time seemed to stand still as we held to each other for what seemed like an endless amount of time during our heartbreaking farewell. Although I wanted to cling to this emb
Through my room's curtains, the dawn's first light could be seen. I had been up all night thinking about the agonizing decision I had to make. The load of sacrifice was one that fate had placed on my shoulders. I had to face my destiny since I could no longer deny it.My limbs were heavy with tiredness as I got up from the floor and walked over to Adolph's room. No matter how terrible it would be for both of us, he was my heart and my love, and I needed to tell him what I had decided.Adolph was seated on his bed when I walked into his room, looking at me with concern and a sense of despair. We need to discuss, I said in a shaking voice, "Adolph."He nodded, never taking his eyes off of mine, and I could tell he was nervous from the look on his face.I inhaled deeply as every word I spoke caused my heart to ache. "Adolph, I've made a decision."What decision, Scarlett? he inquired, his brows furrowed.I battled to contain the feelings that threatened to overpower me as tears began to
I was standing in Adolph's room when the words were spoken, my heart racing with a mix of rage, perplexity, and despair. Adolph looked at me, but it was obvious that he was uneasy and unsure of how to handle the feelings that had risen between us.His voice quivered as he said, "Scarlett," "I... I didn't know how to tell you."I was unable to muster the will to reply. I was now at my most enraged. My anger had been simmering. I had placed my entire life and heart in Adolph's hands, and now I stood in front of him, staring at the unthinkable.Adolph inquired, "How are you holding up, Scarlett?" showing his concern for my well being. The question he asked only served to feed my rage. He knew what he and Louis had talked about and what they had decided on my behalf, so how could he ask me that?I spoke louder and more vehemently out of exasperation, "Sit down and explain everything to me!"Adolph complied and sat down on the side of his bed with his shoulders hunched. He started up by de
As Louis made his way to the pack's clinic, his heart was racing with urgency. His beloved wife Anna was seriously ill, and this worried and terrified him. Louis was unable to bear to watch the suffering of the lady he loved since the evil that had befallen their pack had now spread to their house. He hurried inside the pack's clinic after forcing open its thick doors and searching the space for a recognisable face. He located the pack doctor, who was responding to Anna's needs, among the medical staff and worried pack members. The doctor of the pack greeted him, "Louis," with a grave gaze. "Anna is suffering from the strange illness, and I'm doing everything I can for her,"Louis screamed in a desperate tone, "Please, do whatever you can to save her.Louis received a comforting hand on the shoulder from the pack's physician. Louis, I'll do my best. We won't give up on her since we're all in this together.Louis left the clinic with a heavy heart, realizing that there wasn't much more
Louis couldn't help but bring up the matter that had been bothering him as they entered the palace. Although he was aware that such a choice would be difficult to make, he also understood how crucial it would be for the pack's survival.Adolph, I recognise how challenging this is for you," Louis said hesitantly. I'm not sure if I could sacrifice Anna if someone asked me to. But we need to keep in mind that our entire pack's welfare is on the line."Adolph paused and rubbed his brow as he considered Louis's remarks. The decision weighed heavy on his shoulders, and he was aware that whichever course he chose would have far-reaching effects.Adolph responded, his voice heaving with emotion, "I know, Louis." However, I find it intolerable to consider forsaking Scarlett. She is absolutely everything to me, and I cannot fathom living without her.Louis gave a sympathetic nod as he nodded in agreement. "I understand, my friend. Anna's loss is unimaginable to me as well. But we must always ke
The rate at which the pack members fell sick was alarming and it was evident that the workload for each doctor's assistant was unbearable. I thought about how I could offer a solution that would relieve everyone a bit so I decided that some maids which were not affected by the strange disease should be allowed to assist us in the clinic. I informed the pack's doctor about it before taking such a step. He agreed and was happy that I came up with that idea. The maids worked nonstop, their commitment constant, assuring that those in our care had all they required, as well as comfort and cleaning. The doctor of the pack, a beacon of knowledge and generosity, expressed his appreciation for our help. "Scarlett, your maids have been a tremendous help," he added, his voice full of gratitude. Without their assistance, we would not have survived.I agreed and nodded, feeling a surge of pride for my maids. They share our pack's dedication and compassion. But despite all the activity and const
