Loss

“Good morning,” with a peck from Mark, Leia felt goosebumps as he made his way to the sofa.

She couldn’t help but notice the way he beamed happily and energized as he stared at her, to the point where it felt as if the sun was a bit too bright in the living room.

“You seem to be in an awful lot of good mood, it’s starting to make me sick, and I mean very sick seeing you so happy,” Leia tells him with a creeped-out look on her face, but it bounced back by Mark’s happy smile.

“Well, I know you don’t mean it,” Mark responds much to her distaste and averts her eyes back to watching the Tv while she munches on some snacks. With a chuckle, Mark stood up from his couch and carried himself to Leia’s side, resting his head upon her shoulders comfortably.

Refusing to spare him a glance, Leia continues with her movie, “Don’t be so confident about that. I won’t be here unless you didn’t make my life a living hell.”

“If you say so my dear,” he whispers, his eyes closed as if he wanted to drift
