“So, if you guys were a gang, wouldn’t it make more sense for you guys to use a lower-profile building?”
Tamashi and Bri were walking through the grand hall, on their way to the dining room. Upon hearing the question, Bri stopped and turned around.
“It’s because we have power. We’re considered to be one of the four great gangs. Between the four, we control everything from the shadows.”
Tamashi’s face sunk into a deep pool of thought.
“What are you stuck on now, brat?”
“The four great gangs… They control everything… Does that mean… WOAH, MY SCHOOL WAS BEING RUN BY A GANG? Wait, so this means… SOME OF MY CLASSMATES WERE SECRET GANG MEMBERS! But who could they be? Charlie… Anna… that one guy who only eats lettuce for lunch…”
As she listened to Tamashi’s vocalized thought process, Bri’s face slowly turned into a stupefied expression.
“Hey, Bri, do you guys turn people’s brains into rabbit brains or something-“
“You seem a bit destabilized. Maybe it’s just hunger.”
“Or maybe it’s the fact that you got me thrown in prison after almost dying.”
Bri turned away and began walking again.
“That’s besides the point,” she mumbled under her breath.
“I would totally call you out right now since it’s not really besides the point, but I’m actually getting pretty hungry.”
“Perfect, because here’s the dining room.”
Bri walked up to a set of double doors and pushed them in.
Inside was a dining room with a towering ceiling and an absurdly long dining table.
“You can sit at the right-side seat on the end. I hope you’re ready.”
Bri turned her head back to Tamashi and flashed her mischievous grin.
“We’re going make you an offer you can’t refuse.”

Tamashi’s jaw dropped as his meal arrived.
As requested, a large, juicy steak was presented in front of him.
Within milliseconds of the steak’s appearance, Natural instinct took Tamashi over, and he pounced onto the steak.
“Would you mind slowing down a bit? This is supposed to be a meeting, too.”
Tamashi slightly let off the gas and directed his attention to Bri.
“Alright, so shall we get started. Ok. Let’s make sure we properly introduced ourselves. My name is Bri, and I lead this organization called Kita. We’re an organization that’s dedicated to managing things from the shadows in the northern US. The other three organizations manage their sections of the US.”
Tamashi struggled to process the information dump as he continued to devour the steak.
“So that’s us. As for you, you’re Tamashi Yosha. You’re a 16-year-old high school bookworm. In a normal situation, you still be just that: a high school bookworm.”
Tamashi managed to put his fork down.
“I’m assuming you’re about to tell me why you interfered with my life?”
“Precisely.”
Bri leaned her face onto her fists, her vast hazel eyes glimmering in the warm light of the dining room.
“Until recently, you were just a normal guy. But then, something weird happened.”
Tamashi’s eyes narrowed as he prepared to take in Bri’s next statement.
“On that day, you realized that something was about to happen. For you, it probably felt like a shock in your brain.”
Tamashi jumped up from the table.
“That’s exactly what happened. Right when we were starting to cross the street, it felt like I was struck by a bit of lightning. I remember.”
“That’s no mistake. I had my suspicions about you, so that’s why I had to meet you. That’s why I infiltrated the school and sought you out.”
“What’s going on? Did I inherit some sort of superpower?”
Bri stood up to meet Tamashi at eye level.
“Think long and hard about this question. Have you met anyone that kind of looks like you lately? Maybe in a weird dimension?”
The room grew quiet, except for the crackle of a distant fireplace.
“What the hell is that kind of question? You’re starting to weird me out. I have a better question. How old are you? I’m worried now that I went on a date with a gran-“
Before he could finish his sentence, a sudden force slammed into Tamashi’s gut, and he was knocked onto his back.
After spacing out for a few moments, he lifted his head to witness Bri’s state of agitation.
“FOR YOUR INFORMATION, I’M 25. DON’T YOU EVER DARE USE THAT WORD WITH ME.”
“Seemed like a valid question.”
As Tamashi slowly got back up, Bri closed her eyes and recomposed herself.
“So either you haven’t met him yet, or you simply don’t remember. Either way, it just means you’re weak.”
“Well, why don’t you tell me more about this guy? Maybe I’ll remember if I met him or not.”
Bri opened her eyes and fixed her gaze on Tamashi.
“Alright, so here’s your offer.”
“Huh? You’re just gonna ignore-“
“We, the Kita gang, want to train you to become an assassin.”
Tamashi’s face turned into surprise and shock.
“Wait… What? Why the hell would you ask me to do that?”
“It’s simple, really. Your newfound power is the perfect foundation for becoming one of our organization’s elite assassins. Not only do we have a duty to train people with powers like yours, we’re also in heavy need candidates with top potential.”
“I don’t think-“
“It’s already been decided, so you really only have two choices: start training now, or start training later.”
“You can’t be serious. You know I can’t agree to do this. I just want my life back.”
“Choose.”
“NO! Thanks for the bailout, but I’m out of here.”
As Tamashi turned his back, Bri allowed a faint smile to form on her face.
“Fine then. We’ll let you live your life. But you’ll be back someday.”
“Thanks for dinner. Also… I guess… Thanks for the bailout. Have a great night.”
Tamashi quickly made his way out of the dining room. As an attendant arrived to refill Bri’s drink, she sat down and let out a sigh. She then looked out the window, becoming fixated on the starry sky.
“Why did you pick him, Rai?”
As he made his way home, Tamashi thought about his next steps.“Which way should I go, sir?”“Go left. Then it’ll be off the right down the road.”Despite his walkout, Bri had allowed Tamashi to use a car and a chauffeur to get to his house.Tamashi leaned back into his seat as he attempted to resolve the most pressing issue at hand.‘How am I gonna explain all this to Yasa?’Yasa is Tamashi’s older brother. Yasa has also been Tamashi’s legal guardian ever since their parents disappeared.‘I think he’ll understand me and not get too mad about what’s going on, so that solves the first issue. Now, the second issue…’Tamashi began to wonder about how he was going to return to school. Before he was able to come up with a plan, he inner thoughts were interrupted by the driver.“It’s this house here, right?”
The wind blows through the garden, carrying brown, broken leaves as the autumn sun rose in the distant sky. As Bri explored the beauty of the mansion’s east-side garden, a burly man wearing a black suit with a black tie appeared before her. “Madam Bri, I have some news for you.” Bri broke her eyes off of the flowers and slowly met the man’s eyes. The morning sun had tinted her hazel eyes into a brilliant green. “Does it have to do with the operation?” “Yes, madam. The operation is ready. We just need your approval in order to commence.” Bri directed her gaze to the morning sky. As she watched the clouds drift by, her black hair began to flow in the wind. ‘For the sake of our future, we need to defeat them. God, I hope I’m doing the right thing.’ Without removing her eyes from the sky, Bri started to give her response. “I, Bri of the Kita, order all person
“So, where are we going? I don’t remember seeing this place have tables outside.” “Don’t worry, we have a special table set up in our back alleyway.” Charlie thought about the possibility that this mysterious waiter could in some way be connected to Tamashi’s criminal case. “We’re disappointed with ourselves for being sub-par when it comes to our standards, so we’ve prepared a special table for you in our back alleyway. ‘Man, this guy’s a terrible actor.’ As they left the building through a side door and walked towards the back, Charlie skimmed over his surroundings, looking for signs of danger. His checks also included watching over Anna and Tsuru. Anna was walking slowly, maintaining a slight distance from the group. A look of determination was visible in her eyes, but Charlie could tell that that was a facade. Tsuru was maintaining a close distance to Charlie, almost to the point of hiding behind him. Her face was f
A chilling, whistling breeze traveled throughout the alleyway. The warm and welcoming sunlight slowly began to dwindle as the source sunk farther and farther into the west. The discolored, abhorrent walls absorbed the sunlight for nothing in return, contributing to the dark and dingy atmosphere. As the ghostly breeze made its way through the unsightly alley, it left behind a song of horror and despair. The unnerving song unified accordingly with the perilous situation that Charlie and his friends were intertwined within. In between the wet walls of unease was the ignition of a heated battle. On one side of the generic and ominous dining table was the brown-haired assassin, whose blood-crimson eyes were occupied by pure mania. As the man who called himself Max perched himself on the table, he aggressively deployed his knife and brought it to the neck of his opponent. The blond-haired receiver of the threat suspended himself in time as he began to process the fact
The calm, orange sunset began to fade into a blood red canopy as the once-friendly ocean converted into a ferocious beast. For the first time since his mind arrived at the lonely and windy island, Charlie lifted his head out of his legs. He watched as the color shift occurred in the sky. “Oh… It’s begun. Someone’s hurt… It’s probably my fault.” Charlie lowered his attention to his shoes. The beastly ocean water had flooded his feet and was up to his ankles. “Not long… Before it ends…” As the waves continued to crash into Charlie’s feet, he continued to watch the waves, waiting for the moment it all ends. —— Savior: Original Story by OneSevenEight Episode: Framed Perspective - Part 9 —— “Let’s get started, shall we?” Dark, dreary clouds interrupted the sun’s path of light, which led to darker, more lifeless alley. As murky, repulsive water gently dripped down the grime-stained walls, Max held Char
“Well now, look who decided to get up. You decided that you need more of an ass-beating?”“Please, that cheap shot was nothing.”Anna’s current appearance contradicted her retaliatory statement.Blood was exiting through a gash above the bridge of her nose and running in between her eyes. Her left eye had remained closed, and her nose appeared to be crooked. As Tsuru watched the standoff, she attempted to convince Anna to back down.“Stop, Anna! You need to sit down! You’re going to hurt yourself more-““Tsuru, it’s fine. I don’t want to see you, or that useless dork, die.”Max flashed a nauseating grin.“Look who decided to step up and play hero. I’ve gotta admit, I thought you were just relying on that wannabe for protection.”Anna responded with a face of conviction and determination.“I always thought I was stronger
Both Anna and Tsuru expected a fiery rampage from Max, but instead, he closed his eyes and grew quiet.Tsuru began to worry that he was going to blindside Anna.“Hey, please be careful, Anna. Don’t get yourself-““It’s fine. I know he’s up to something.”As Anna cautiously waited for Max to make his next move, he reopened his eyes and formed a conceited smile.“Wow, you truly are a worthy opponent. I haven’t had to fight this hard since I trained with my brother and the boss. You are one truly special person.”Max began to make his way towards Anna with a slow walk. His hands were in his pockets.“Huh, so you respect me as a worthy opponent now? No more ‘girl’ insults?”“I had my doubts, but you truly seem to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I have to acknowledge that fact and offer some respect to you. Let’s properly begin this
The fierce waters that were overtaking the island calmed down in an instant. The orange sky continued to radiate overhead as Charlie observed a woman who seemed to be standing on the ocean.“Wha… Wait…”“Get up already. I know I didn’t teach you to be such a dumbass wimp.”“Why…”The woman locked her glare with Charlie’s and formed a mischievous grin on her face.“Are you gonna get up, or am I gonna have to drag you up? Don’t make me start counting…”Charlie jerked away from his position as the woman started him down. Her bright blue eyes were a perfect match to Charlie’s gaze.“My dear son, I think I’m gonna kick your ass.”——Savior: Original Story by OneSevenEightEpisode: Framed Perspective - Part 12——“Anna… ANNA!!!”Tsuru
Kira toured through one of the many gardens of the mansion, exploring the beauty of the perennial flowers as a cold wind began to stir.‘I won’t let It happen. I won’t let her train.’Kira’s gray eyes dashed across the garden as she buried herself in thought.“What’s up, Onee-san? Got something on your mind?”Kira’s gaze slowly drifted towards the source of the voice. First, she noticed the hair - the same jet black hair as her own, only that it was longer. The young, purified face. The gray eyes with a reminiscent shade of blue.“Oh, wow, you’re way more zoned out than I thought. Dreaming about a boy, huh?”“Wha- Why don’t you just shut up and mind your own business. And stop sneaking up on me. That’s getting old.”Yaku placed her hands behind her back and tilted her head to the side.“You don’t like seeing me? Some sist
A bright, oversized moon occupied the sky, surrounded by millions of glistening stars. Below the shine of the moon was a field filled with nothing but tall grass. Within the field stood a man with short black hair and a scruffy beard, armed with a sword in hand. His mouth formed a devilish grin as he raised his sword. “You think you can beat me? Please. I’ve been a master of the sword since I was a kid. To think that I would be defeated by some random woman is laughable.” Standing a distance away was a woman with a slender build and shoulder-length black hair. Her weapon of choice was a small knife. She formulated her response as she tied her hair into a ponytail. “You haven’t realized that this woman you’re talking to has in fact defeated every one of your friends. If you need a reminder, take a look around.” Buried within the grass of the surrounding area were a multitude of slain bodies, each smeared in browning blood.
The girl opened her eyes to reveal a bright yellow shine. She glanced around the room - first, the ceiling, then, around the room. She was in a hospital room. She was in a hospital room, with no one else there.‘Did… we win? We’re… all alive?’She attempted to access her memories prior to waking up.‘I remember… telling someone… to not give up…’Anna slowly and methodically attempted to lift her head, her neck-length black hair gently swaying underneath. After managing to move a few inches, she collapsed back down into the pillow.‘This sucks… I hope everyone’s ok…’Just as the thought cleared her head, the door opened. As she turned to greet her visitors, a tear formed in her right eye.“Hi Anna, It’s great to see you’re awake.”“Heya, look everyone! She’s alive!”
With a small blast of fire from his feet, Max initiated a sprint towards Tamashi.“YOU’RE MINE, SPARKY! I’LL END THIS IN ONE BLOW!”Max jumped as he neared Tamashi. As Max fell through the sky, Tamashi reached out his arm.‘Inazuma no Kabe.’Max slammed head-first into the wall and bounced off, flying backwards in the direction he came from. As Tamashi released the wall, Max recovered and rose to his feet.“Is that all you’ve got, Sparky?… THAT’S NOTHING FOR ME!”Max formed an oversized ball of fire in his fist and forced himself back up into the air.“I’LL KILL ALL OF YOU!”Tamashi responded by once again reaching out his arm.“You won’t get through me.”Max acknowledged Tamashi’s declaration with a grin. A boom could be heard as Max accelerated to three times his previous speed. Tamashi failed to
A bright, fiery sun hovered in the sky as clouds drifted underneath. Below the horizon was a grassy field, dotted with the occasional oak tree. As leaves turned red and detached into the wind, two figures stood on the green surface at a moderate distance apart.Leaves swirled about the field as the older man with salt-and-pepper hair and environmentally-friendly green eyes extinguished his cigarette.“Alright, it’s been a week. Now, show me the result of that time spent, Tamashi.”Across the field, the teen boy with shaggy black hair and navy blue eyes answered the man’s request with a confident smile.“Right! Here we go!”The wind abruptly softened into a breeze, as if the sky was holding its breath.Sensei flashed a smirk as he initiated a brisk run towards Tamashi.“What’s up with this, Sensei? You’re the one who said-“As Sensei lessened the gap to 20 feet, Tamashi
As the light of the purple sky continued to shine, the most obvious question of the moment surfaced in Tamashi’s mind.“Hey, Rai, how are we gonna get out of here? Can you leave the Void without being pulled out by Jiji-sensei?”“Usually, I can leave the Void. I can also normally pull my host in and send him or her back out. But, right now…”At the flip of a switch, Rai’s facial expression converted from an emotionless demeanor to a stupefied scowl. He shrugged his shoulders.“… I can’t do jack shit. Sorry, Tamayo.”Tamashi responded with a look of confusion.“Huh? I know you had issues with your powers after the fight, but I figured they would be back by now. What’s taking so long?”“Beats me. This hasn’t happened to me before.”As Tamashi walked around in circles while processing the thought that he could be stuck in the Void
The colorful, vibrant beauty of the limitless Void’s sunset sky was interrupted by the appearance of a swath of fresh crimson-red blood.Rai’s brilliant white hair intermingled with droplets of his own blood as he was forced back by Tamashi’s powerful kick. The painful sound of Rai crashing into the ground echoed for miles throughout the never-ending expanse. The landing was accompanied by a gasp of pain released from Rai’s mouth.Tamashi slowly and methodically lowered his leg to the sky-like ground. He shifted his arms to the empty space behind his head and began to relax his breathing.‘I won. I really won. I won a real fight.’Tears formed around the base of each of Tamashi’s ocean blue eyes. He slowly picked up his right arm and proceeded to use it to wipe his eyes. At the same time, his lips parted to form a bright, expressive smile.——Tamashi towered over Rai’s limp
Tamashi’s eyes opened to the view of the Void’s breathtaking painting-like sky.“You’re running out of time, Tamayo. What are you gonna do now? Show me some of those fancy moves the old man taught you!”‘Shit, what am I gonna do now? I can barely move. Wow, this really hurts. I might actually die. What now?’Each step of the Seishin of Lightning produced thundering claps that echoed into the vast expanse.By the time Tamashi had managed to slightly raise his head, Rai had arrived at his feet, grinning from ear to ear.“You look really pathetic just laying there like some helpless kid, you know that? I expected more from you, Tamayo.”‘Wow, this sucks.’“Hmm, I’m actually thinking about ending this now. Why should I give you the chance to come up with some half-assed plan?”‘That makes sense. I guess you should just en
“Three… two… one… go.”——Savior: Original Story by OneSevenEightEpisode: Framed Perspective - Part 25——The boy with messy black hair and profoundly blue eyes launched himself forward as the ring of lightning above began to shower sparks over the battlefield. As Tamashi raced towards the white-haired Seishin of Lightning, Rai threw his hands to his sides and began to cackle.“SO THAT’S HOW YOU’RE GONNA START? YOU COULDN’T BE ANY MORE OBVIOUS, TAMAYO! GET READY TO GET YOUR ASS KICKED!”Rai reared back his right arm, drawing lightning into his clenched fist. Tamashi reacted by launching himself off the ground, sending himself speeding through the air.“YOU BETTER DODGE, TAMAYO!”“Nah, I don’t think I will.”Tamashi closed in on Rai while keeping himself just below Rai’s arm. As Rai low
