He grew up not knowing my father’s pack and seeing it right now doesn’t make it easier for him to believe its existence. I just smiled at him and let him wonder for a while as I walked the steps of my father’s cabin.
The door of my father’s cabin opened even before I even took the first step and he stood there looking at me.
“Welcome back,” he said as his eyes moved toward the person behind me and said, “Come in.”
DK walked silently beside me as we entered my father’s cabin. Knowing my father he would bring us to the kitchen and asked us to sit on the dining table as he went behind the kitchen counter.
