Grace snorted annoyingly towards Vincent Cox's unreasonable mind. He suspected everything. Somehow, it was triggered when he saw a wolf that had been lurking and then disappeared.
"Did you watch too many dramas?" Grace quipped at Vincent, who could only frown and then sit back. He convinced Grace that what he saw was indeed a wild animal.
"Its eyes glow in the dark. Do you think it's human or not?" Vincent said, half sarcastically, "Do you think it's human or not?" Grace's brows frowned more.
"Why do you suspect something unreal?"
"That's because I trust my vision. Listen, since I was exposed to the vampire virus, my eyes are sharper, and my other senses have also developed rapidly. I can smell blood from meters away." Vincent stopped and frowned as he turned towards the door.
The door opened not long after. Zach walked in with a suitcase in his hand.
"Dad?" Vincent called, and Zach instantly smiled as he took off his hat.
"Hey, son!"
Today, Vincent will be very busy. He had to go home early to attend Kyron's adoption hearing. New York is better, even though there are still many vampire attacks. Winter is coming, and snow is starting to fall.Vincent avoided taking Kyron out of the house in the cold weather. Kyron was dressed in a thick jacket, socks, and shoes. Because of the cold weather, he wore a cute beanie."Let's go, sweetheart, let's go inside," Vincent muttered, holding Kyron. He brought Kyron's milk bottle in a storage box, diapers and spare clothes.Vincent kept his arms around Kyron the entire time their lawyer spoke. The lawyer explained all the procedures he must undergo to adopt Kyron. Zach also came to accompany him. Not long after, Mike Emerson also came as a witness."After this, we will take Kyron for a blood test," Mike said in a slight whisper to Vincent. Vincent just snorted without answering. He checked again on Kyron, who was smiling at Mike."Do you think he's a good cop?" Vincent asked, id
The head of the secret laboratory at Horus reported to Anderson that they had found another alternative, an antivirus. They must now conduct trials to evaluate the performance."You discovered this?" Anderson asked while reading the report given to him."That's right, sir. But to test it requires a human object, especially one that the virus has infected," the lab head reported to Anderson."Isn't it easy to find?" The lab chief shook his head."No one is willing to volunteer, sir.""Why?" The lab chief was silent and lowered his head."Are you afraid of dying? So you don't want to return to being humans?" Anderson mocked him cynically. He laughed a moment later and nodded."Fine, let's just do it on people," continued Anderson, leaving the lab head stunned and frowning in disbelief."What do you mean, sir? Should we gather people to volunteer?" Anderson nodded."If no one wants it, you can just take the staff. Offer fiv
"What happened, Dad?" Vincent asked, confused. He looked in all directions while hugging Kyron. Zach was annoyed and pressed the horn several times to get the car in front of him to move. However, everything stopped, and nothing moved."Why is everyone running around like that?" asked Zach, who was starting to sharpen his senses to be more alert. The conditions increasingly panicked, and Vincent's eyes caught sight of someone blocking the road ahead."There's something wrong," Vincent muttered, then exited the car, still carrying Kyron."Vince, don't come out!" Zach yelled forbiddingly."Just a minute, Dad!"Vincent continued to hold Kyron as he looked around him. His eyes widened when he saw a group of people biting each other. People did that, and Vincent immediately returned to the car. He opened the back door and put Kyron in his chair."Vince, what's wrong?""Vampire! There is a vampire attack ahead!" Vincent said, hastily tying
Zachary drove his car through narrow alleys to reach the hospital. Unfortunately, Kyron hasn't stopped crying since then. It made Zach anxious. He finally stopped his car to check on Kyron."What is it, dear? Why do you keep crying?" Zach released Kyron from his chair and carried him. Zach rarely struggles when carrying Kyron. But this time, Kyron fought back and wouldn't keep quiet."Kyron, what's wrong with you? Calm down." Zach continues to rub Kyron evasively and cries for no apparent reason."Okay, do you want your dad? Yes, shall we call Daddy?" Zach offered Kyron as if the baby could answer. Zach even took out the entire stock of toys he had brought for Kyron, who wouldn't stop throwing tantrums. On the other hand, his body temperature is starting to normal. While carrying Kyron, Zach called Vincent and hoped that he could solve the problem. Unfortunately, the calls went unanswered."What happened?"Kyron's whimpers and cries broke ou
"Vampire Slayer? What's that? someone who kills Vampires?" Anderson annoyingly quipped at Terrell, who came to report. Terrel took an uneasy breath and then nodded."How could that be? Who's he? Werewolves?""I don't know, Alpha. When I came, he ran away," said Terrell, giving his reasons. Anderson's brow furrowed, and his jaw tightened. He turned around and snorted in annoyance."Who dares to interfere in my business? I've heard came before too. He's a mysterious man who kills vampires who are infected with a virus. This cannot be allowed. Did you not find any traces of him at all?" Anderson asked again."No, Alpha. But I don't think the serum worked," Terrell added."What do you mean?""The serum doesn't turn the vampire back into a human. They just died like they were poisoned." Terrell explained again.Anderson seemed to think for a moment. He already suspected there would be a shortage of the serum created by the Horus lab this time. However, Anderson does not predict that the ef
"Don't play around with your work at Horus. Remember, you must serve Alpha Anderson wholeheartedly. And there is no need to get too close to his assistant." Terrell warned Scott again."I'm not playing around." Scott tried to argue."Don't argue with me. You are an Omega, though you are my brother. Do you understand?!" Terrel gritted, reminding Scott of his position. Scott swallowed his saliva and didn't speak to dispute. When Terrel left, Scott was still standing where he was. He watched Terrell walk away with Collins, his best friend. Scott was still staring and suspicious. He knew that Terrell was doing something. Scott thought momentarily, then looked in all directions before deciding to follow his brother."Aren't you wary of your brother? Do you think he will follow us?" said Collins, asking Terrell as he entered the car."No. Scott is too innocent to do something like that," Terrell said coldly; even though doubtful, he had to show determination. Collins remained silent after t
Jake Turner ran from his car to the NYPD Police station after receiving a fire report. Several fire trucks were alerted, and some came out after extinguishing the fire."Are you alright?" Jake asked Mike, who was resting in one of the ambulances. Mike looked a little shabby, then took a deep breath and nodded."What happened?" Jake asked again."Looks like someone lit a fire," guessed Mike and stood up."Oh yes?""Luckily, there was someone who had helped me earlier. Come here I have something to talk to you about!" Mike then pulled Jake into a corner. He turned his head in all directions to look around him before speaking to the slightly confused Jake."Something happened just now." Mike paused again, and Jake moved closer."What?""It looks like someone is targeting Kyron Donovan. Two men came looking for me and asked about him. They claimed to be family at first. I don't believe it. So I started interrogating them.""Then one of them got angry. I pointed my gun and shot...""What?"
Vincent blinked rapidly, and he was immediately conscious. Those sharp eyes glanced at Zach, who was closest to him. Zach then smiled at Vincent, who had fainted a few hours ago."Dad?" said Vincent quietly."Finally. Are you alright?" Zach bombarded Vincent with questions, then grabbed his arm. Vincent then sat down to look around. Dr. Emma, Detective Emerson and Turner also stared at him."Why are you all here?" Vincent asked, confused."Oh, you went to the hospital. Father Zach told us." Mike glanced at Zach, then looked at Vincent. Vincent took a deep breath and nodded in understanding. He almost forgot what had happened on the street a few hours ago."I don't know what has happened to me. I was hit in the arm by an arrow." Vincent shows Zach and the others his injured arm."Ah, I don't need this!" Vincent pulled out the IV line in his hand. Emma was shocked and half-screamed."Hey, don't,""It's okay, doctor. I need this m
