Talon's POV

I stayed with Tania for a little while, making sure that she was calm and more relaxed, and then I offered to go prepare something for her.

"I'll leave you to freshen up while I go downstairs to get something for you to eat. How about that?" I offer.

"That will be fine. But we still have to talk about my stay here after that. I don't think it's right for me to live in the same room as you. You are an Alpha and I am sure that people will start talking when they see that their alpha is dwelling in the same room with a woman," Tania said. Sometimes I wonder why so many things seem to bother her.

"That is what you think. There is nothing wrong with a man and woman living in the same room. I am an Alpha and I can do whatever I want. Stop thinking about these things and go and have a bath, okay?" I stood up to my feet and then I said to her, "I'll tell the maidens to prepare something for you to eat. Would you like to eat downstairs or here?"

"Here will be better please. Thank

Talon's POVThis was not the first occurrence of robbery in Ascot and as such, it wasn't a thing of surprise to me. Considering how small and developing the land was, bandits and thugs from neighboring kingdoms would take advantage and invade the land, stealing and making away with anything they can lay their hands on. It has been going on like this for years and The Pack had been doing everything possible to curb the situation.I felt a twinge of frustration as I heard the boy complain. I could see the helplessness and fear in his eyes -- and that wasn't what I wanted for the people. I have always wanted to create a comfortable environment for the people -- I wanted them to know how it feels to sleep with two eyes closed and not be afraid of anything. Unfortunately that feeling wasn't entirely present in Ascot, it made me think of Crescida; a kingdom without bandit infestation. That is how powerful Crescida, my father land, was -- the difference between Crescida and other kingdoms is

  • Saved by the rogue alpha   Chapter 54 Meeting Penny

Tania's POVI walked out of the bathroom after having a bath to hear constant knocks on the door. It couldn't have been Talon -- I mean, why would he knock on his own door? Maybe it was Riya. I was so ready if she was indeed the one.I hurriedly dabbed my towel on my body and put on a robe -- just in case a fight was going to ensue -- I didn't want to be the one prepared for a brawl only to be disgraced. With a frown on my face, I made my way to the door, prepared for a verbal battle with my enemy and expecting to see her smug face. But to my surprise, I was met with a young maiden instead. She had a timid look on her face and was holding a tray containing food. Her presence caught me off guard, and for a moment, I couldn't say anything. She was tall and had long, curly hair that fell gracefully on her shoulders. Her bright smile was contagious, and I couldn't help but smile back at her."Hello," she said, her voice sweet and melodious. "I'm sorry to disturb you, but I was asked to br

  • Saved by the rogue alpha   Chapter 55 Acquaintance

Tania’s POVI was glad that Penelope was comfortable with me calling her by the name Penny, it was like I had a sense of belonging with her and I was so eager to get to know more about her.‘’Alright then,’’ I said, adjusting comfortably on the bed. I didn’t realize how much I’d been holding back before now but I felt relieved as soon as I freed myself. Maybe it was tension – tension of what exactly? I guess it was just me being nervous since I didn't know what to expect. "Tell me about yourself, Penny. Tell me more about this place, about the culture and every other thing that comes to your mind.’’Penny rolled her eyes and replied, ‘’Okaaaay…’’ dragging the words as it escaped her mouth and I knew at that moment that she was going to say something else. ‘’I am going to tell you everything you want to know but first,’’ she holds up her index finger in the air and then continues, “you are going to eat your food. Maybe while you’re at it, I will answer your curiosity.’’‘’I actually f

  • Saved by the rogue alpha   Chapter 56 Discussions

Tania's POVPenny and I talked about different things. I was delighted to know that she had a few favorite things she loved doing (even though it had been a long time since she did them). One of the things she said that caught my attention was that; she loved to go out and party, have drinks and dance and yes, it is something fun that I have always thought about, just that duty and dirt won't allow me to participate in it."That sounds like fun. You know, I have never really tried it but I would like to. What do you think?" I asked, excited at the thought of it."That will be a good idea but I don't know how possible that will be. An Omega is not allowed to go partying. The only time we get to participate in things like that is if the event is a general celebration that affects the entire kingdom," Penny explained."Just like the festival you people had a few nights ago," I added."Yes! Exactly... That festival is part of it."But then, I became curious. I was particularly interested

Tania's POV"Wait a minute," Penny tuned in on her adjustment on the bed as she tried to assimilate what I had just told her. "You mean, you have been to the forbidden house before and Riya took you there?!""Yes. At first I didn't think there was anything wrong with the place. I only questioned the desolation and asked why she couldn't take me to where I can see my fellow werewolf beings? I mean, it was appalling. I knew she had problems with me naturally but I didn't think she would want to try and kill me," I answered, recalling some horrible details that I had to go through -- at least it wasn't as bad as the fresh memories from that night."I can't believe this! I have never liked her but I never thought she would do a thing like this! What is the bone of contention?""Talon. I don't even have anything to do with him. He takes care of me and there is nothing wrong that I have done to affect her relationship with him but still, she hates me to the core. It's not like I care anyway

  • Saved by the rogue alpha   Chapter 58 Mated to him?

Tania's POVAs doubtful as it may seem, there was a little hint of truth in what Penny said concerning the mate bond. I was aware of things like this but now that it involved me, it was very hard to believe. She was very right in the things she talked about. Not only did I get lectured about things like that, but I have experienced the whole scent impelling thing....One time in my kingdom, Porthove, when I was still a kid, I went into the woods, defiling my father's orders not to leave the palace that night and then I got lost. I was so carried away by the fireflies that kept pulling me deeper and deeper into the woods that I forgot that I should be aware of where I was heading to. And then I lost it, and that was when it dawned on me that I had gotten lost. I felt my heart pounding in my chest as I stumbled through the thick dark forest, my feet tripping over roots and rusted leaves which crunched underneath my feet. I had lost my way and the trees towered ominously around me, t

Tania's POV"I have spent more time than I should, Tania. I need to go before the head maiden starts looking for me," Penny said, standing up to her feet and adjusting her dress. My discussion with her made me forget that she was a maiden who had duties to attend to, and I was grateful that she still made time to talk to me despite her busy schedules. It's been a while since I had such a deep rooted conversation with someone and I was appreciative of her for it."Oh right, I almost forgot that you are a maiden in this place," I picked up the tray of food and stood up to my feet and she received the tray from me. "Thank you so much for accepting to talk to me.""Of course. We are friends now. In fact, I felt like I have known you for a long time while we were discussing a lot of things. I hope we get to do this again," she said to me with a warm smile on her face."Of course, Penny. And yeah! Speaking of which, what about the party we talked about? When is the next party and when will

  • Saved by the rogue alpha   Chapter 60 Unexpected

Tania's POVI noticed the surprise that flickered across Riya's face, the questions and the disbelief -- how it feels to know that the person you are claiming to be yours, the person you love and cherish so much doesn't rate her as high as she expected. The truth is, I don't really know how high Talon has placed her and I don't care to know, what matters is that I got the information that I need to put her in her place at the right time. Now I had given her the impression that Talon was the one that told me about the incident with the maiden that was harassed by Riya. I mean, even Riya confirmed the authenticity of what I just said so what was there not to believe?Riya had always been one to taunt me and try to make me feel less of myself just because she thinks she is in control but now it seemed that the tables had turned. I just wanted to put her in place and I am glad that I was succeeding in doing it.I watched as her mouth opened and closed, trying to find the right words to s

Tall stone buildings and intricately carved archways lined our way, whispering tales of the kingdom's storied past.As we wandered, the ambiance shifted. The air grew cooler, carrying with it the scent of moss and damp earth. We followed a meandering path that led us away from the town, guided by the whispers of rustling leaves and the distant sound of flowing water.Soon, we found ourselves ascending a rugged mountain, its slopes adorned with ancient trees and lush vegetation. Tania's POVI could hardly believe my eyes as we breached the gates of Crescida. The sight that awaited us in the city square was heart-wrenching and ignited an inferno of rage within me. There, in the center, stood Talon, my lover, the leader of Ascot and beacon of hope for my people's freedom, bound to a stake, his body marked by cruel lashes. The crowds jeered and mocked, reveling in his humiliation. How could they do that to their own?Fury surged through my veins, and I sprinted towards Talon, my heart pounding in my chest. "Tania," he called out but I ignored, my sole focus was only to free him. The ropes that constricted him strained against his struggles, a twisted symbol of his captivity.
