When Derrick returned with my buffers, she was already unconscious and going stiff. I didn't know what poison it was so I just shoved all the antidotes I had into her mouth. It took a great deal of effort to get them down her throat. But with the help of Derrick, we got it done.

After that, I had her taken secretly to my chambers. I sent for my physician, looked up my office and also returned discreetly to my chambers. I needed to lay low, this was the third attempt on my life. Whoever did this wanted me dead and must still be lurking around.

I sent a few of my men to scout the pack and I locked myself in my chambers.
