RUNNING AWAY
Zara’s pov
I turned to see Seth, my brother's Beta, standing in front of me. "Where do you think you're going?" he asked.
Ignoring him, I transformed into my wolf form. Despite being small due to being mistreated for a long time, I knew it would give me a better chance at escape. My brother, the Alpha, was much larger and stronger than me, but in my wolf form, I stood a chance of getting away from the place I called home, which was nothing more than a hellhole to me.
Seth tried to stop me, but I managed to dodge past him and run out of the community gates. It was starting to snow, and I knew the woods were dangerous, but I didn't care. I would rather face the unknown dangers of the forest than stay in the pack and be my brother's slave. My paws pounded against the ground as I ran as fast as I could, my heart racing with fear and determination.
I could hear the sound of something large and heavy panting behind me, and I knew it was my brother and his beta. My brother's voice appeared in my mind, telling me to stop or he would kill me if he caught up to me. But I didn't listen. I couldn't go back. I had to keep running, no matter what.
"Zara, come back here!" he yelled. "I promise to be kinder to you if you just stop running."
But I continued to run, with my brother chasing me and shouting insults at me. "I'll kill you when I catch you," he threatened.
I was terrified, but my wolf sienna urged me on and prevented my brother from accessing my mind. So I kept running, trying to escape my brother's wrath.
I was running for my life, my feet pounding against the snow-covered ground as I raced deeper into the woods. The snow was coming down heavily and a thick fog was settling around me, making it difficult to see. Despite the poor visibility, I kept moving forward, fueled by a sense of desperation. It wasn't until I stopped to catch my breath that I realized I no longer heard my brother behind me. Panic set in as I realized I had entered into a different werewolf territory.
The woods were eerily quiet, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. The mist started to lift, and I could hear the sound of snapping twigs as if someone or something was approaching.
As I turned to face the source of the noise, I was confronted by three enormous wolves. The one in the middle was the largest of the three, it's head larger than my entire body. I knew instantly that it was the alpha of the pack, its piercing red eyes seemed to look straight into my soul.
As the wolves approached, my mind was racing with a multitude of thoughts. I couldn't help but fear for my life, knowing that I was no match for these larger wolves. My heart pounded in my chest as I took a step back for every step they took toward me.
I couldn't bear the thought of dying at the hands of my own brother, but the alternative seemed just as grim. The bigger wolf continued to approach, and I found myself pressed against a tree with nowhere to go. I was terrified, but I couldn't bring myself to run. These wolves were larger than any I had ever seen, and I knew I didn't stand a chance against them.
As the big wolf stood in front of me, I lowered my head in submission, bracing myself for the end. I couldn't shake the feeling that my life had been filled with cruelty by my own family, and I had never been given a chance in the family I was born into. All I could do was wait for the wolf to strike and end my suffering.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing. "What is he doing?" I asked myself, trying to make sense of the situation. I reached out with my mind to Sienna, hoping to get some insight from my wolf, but she remained silent.
I lifted my head and was surprised to see that the wolf had transformed into a human, standing naked before me. In the wolf world, nudity wasn't a big deal, but I still felt self-conscious looking at him. All I wanted was for him to end my life quickly and painlessly, but instead of attacking me, he began stroking my fur gently. His hands felt good against my body, and I found myself relaxing under his touch.
But I couldn't allow myself to get too comfortable. I knew this couldn't be real, that he was probably just trying to lull me into a false sense of security before finally killing me. I had to snap out of it and stay alert.
As I tried to pull away from him, he held me close and whispered soothing words. "Don't be afraid, my name is Drake, Alpha of the Blackwood pack. You're safe here in my territory."
Despite his reassurances, I couldn't shake the fear that he was just pretending to be kind before he ultimately killed me. I closed my eyes and braced myself for the end, hoping it would come quickly.
But instead of attacking, he continued to gently stroke my fur and repeat his promise that he wouldn't hurt me. I have never known a wolf, especially rogue wolf that trespassed another territory and were kept alive. Despite my doubts, I found myself feeling a little bit comforted by his presence.
"Who are you and why are you here?" Alpha Drake demanded.
I hesitated, unsure of how to explain my situation. I had gone rogue, abandoning my former identity and any sense of belonging. The realization of what I had done and the rapid changes that had occurred in just a few minutes - from being my brother's slave to a rogue - hit me hard.
"I need you to transform into a human form now," Alpha Drake said, his tone conveying a mix of demand and request. I had no choice but to comply, though I couldn't tell if he intended to kill me in my human form or not.
As I shifted back into my human form, I collapsed onto the ground, too weak to stand. Alpha Drake's expression contorted with disgust as he looked at my naked body, and I couldn't help but feel self-conscious. The years of starvation and neglect were evident in my appearance, and I wondered if Alpha Drake thought I was even worth killing.
As he rose to his feet, I couldn't help but feel a jolt of fear. I didn't know if he was going to kill me or just leave me there to die. But then, he did something that surprised me even more - he picked me up and started carrying me away, with the two other wolves following behind.
I was too weak to ask any questions or try to understand what was happening to me. All I could do was lay there in his arms, trying to hold on.
"What is your name, little one?" he asked, his voice gentle and concerned.
I tried to speak, but my mouth wouldn't form the words. I felt myself growing limper and limper until finally, everything went black. As I drifted off into unconsciousness, the only thought in my mind was: This must be heaven.
FINDING HERDrake's pov"What happened again," I asked my beta Justin as soon as he entered my office. He and I have been best friends before I became the Alpha of the Blackwood pack following the death of my parents. I made Justin my beta not just because he was a close confidant of mine but also because he was intelligent and as strong as I was. With him by my side, I knew my time as an alpha would be great."Why do you ask, must there be a problem before I can come into your office," Justin remarked.I shook my head and chuckled. "I know you too well. Your face gives it away every time something is wrong. So, what's going on now?"Justin sighed. "Well, since you asked. We caught another rogue wolf last night. It's the fifth one we've caught in the past two days. It's starting to feel like there's an outbreak or something."I frowned. "This isn't good. We need to find out what's going on and fast. I want the rogue tortured and drilled for answers, something might be going on that
SHE IS MY MATEDrake's povI paced back and forth, my wolf snarling and growling inside me. I wanted to find the person who had hurt our mate and make them pay. But I knew that wouldn't help anything. The best thing I could do right now was to make sure our mate was safe and taken care of.I stopped pacing and closed my eyes, trying to calm my wolf and clear my head. I took a few deep breaths and slowly opened my eyes, determined to be strong for our mate.I walked back into the room where she was sleeping, my heart heavy with worry and anger. I sat down next to her bed, taking her hand in mine and brushing over it, sending all my love and protection toward her."I'm sorry I wasn't there for you," I whispered, tears falling from my eyes. "I promise I will do everything in my power to keep you safe and make sure nothing like this ever happens to you again."I stayed by her side for the rest of the night, watching over her as she slept and making sure she was comfortable. And as the daw
WHERE AM IZara's povI slowly opened my eyes, disoriented and confused by my surroundings. I was in an unfamiliar room, and couldn't recall how I had ended up there. My thoughts raced, trying to piece together the events of the past few hours.Suddenly, I heard a voice. "You are awake," the stranger said.I recoiled in fear, unsure of who this person was and why they were there."Don't be afraid," the man reassured me. "I won't hurt you."Despite my initial fear, something about the stranger's voice was comforting. And there was something about his scent that was particularly appealing to me - it was strong and earthy, like rain on the ground.Despite my better judgment, I found myself strangely drawn to this mysterious man."Who are you?" I asked, summoning all the courage I could muster."I am Drake, Alpha of the Blackwood pack," he replied, his voice deep and confident.I couldn't help but feel fear at the thought of being in the presence of an alpha wolf. They were known for thei
MY BODY FELT THE SPARKDrakes POVI could feel a spark pass through my body as soon as I touched Zara. I could tell that she felt it too because she quickly pulled back and removed her hands from mine.As a werewolf, I knew that I had found my mate. There are many ways that we can identify our mates, but the most unique is through our sense of smell. We can detect our mate's scent above all others, and there is a strong sexual connection that we feel around our mate. The moment I touched Zara, I was overwhelmed with desire. I wanted to hold her, touch her, and have her in my life. But I knew that I had to take things slowly. She was still struggling to understand everything that was happening, and I didn't want to overwhelm her.I had just brought her home a few days ago after she stumbled into my territory and collapsed in my arms. As she recoiled in fear, I knew it wasn't the right time to reveal the special bond that we shared. For now, my only concern was keeping her safe and help
MY SAVIORZara'S POV"Come back!" a voice called out to me.But I ignored the voice and continued running, the misty woods making it difficult to see where I was going. My legs felt heavy and I was gasping for breath. Finally, I collapsed, exhausted. The monster loomed over me, its eyes filled with hatred."Please, don't kill me," I begged, tears streaming down my face."Your life belongs to me. You are mine," the monster snarled, baring its teeth.Just as the beast leaned in to attack, it was suddenly thrown back by a silver sword that had pierced its heart.I woke up with a start, but my panic quickly dissipated as I realized I was still in the familiar surroundings of the past week. I had finally defeated the monster that haunted my dreams, and for the first time in a long time, I felt safe and secure. My eyes fell on the figure on the couch, and my heart skipped a beat. I got up from the bed and walked over to him, the man who had saved me and given me a new lease on life. His sce
MEETING THE BETA Zara'S POVAs I retreated to the bed, I sat down and grabbed hold of the pillow, feeling anxious that I might have upset the Alpha. However, I soon learned that Alpha Drake was not like my father or brother at all.For a moment, the Alpha simply looked at me, his gaze fixed upon me. Though I tried not to meet his eyes directly, I could sense from the periphery of my vision that he was watching me intently. I clutched the pillow tighter, feeling nervous and on edge. The thought crossed my mind to flee, but I knew I had to stay put and try to keep my composure."What is your name? I mean your full name." the alpha asked me. I thought he knew but I reminded him in case he had forgotten."I mean your full name." He repeated, and he also gave an example with his full name.He must think I am a dunce, was what I was thinking. Unfortunately, I did not know the other part of my name. My life had been a nightmare and I barely knew my full identity. What's your age?" the alpha
TONGUE TIEDDrake's POVI was very happy to see Zara engaging in conversations and games with Justin and me. Despite some initial reservations, she seemed more at ease now. I was also grateful for Justin's acceptance of Zara as my mate, which he demonstrated through his actions. The most poignant moment of the afternoon was when Doctor Rachel arrived and Zara retreated to the bathroom to hide. I could feel her anxiety and fear, and it was painful to see. However, when she emerged from the bathroom, I was touched by her effort to make me happy, even though it must have been difficult for her.And when she confessed the way she was reacting to me which she found strange I was dumbfounded, it was so une
MY MATES TOUCHZara's POVI am struggling to come to terms with the fact that my life has changed so dramatically within the past week. I made a rash decision that I thought would end in my death, but it ended up being my salvation. Drake entered my life and showed me kindness and compassion that I had never experienced before, even from my own family. He has made it his mission to take care of me and make sure that I am okay. It's strange to have someone care for me so deeply and do things for me that no one else has ever done. As I watch him go out of his way to make me food, I can't help but wonder why he is doing all of this for me. Despite the strangeness of the situation, I am grateful to have Drake in my life and to have a new chance at living."Why are you so kind to me.? I ask in between bites from the sandwich he had made for me."Why shouldn't I, you deserve all the attention from me," Drake said with a smile. I was beginning to get used to his smile, it made me weak in my

He attended school with them and played sports, but he always felt like an outsider.Blake's mother, Zara, did her best to help him navigate the challenges of being a werewolf with vampire blood. She taught him how to control his thirst and how to use his unique abilities to his advantage. His father, Drake, also played a significant role in Blake's life. He taught him how to hunt and how to fight, instilling in him a deep sense of loyalty to his pack and his family. As Blake grew older, he began to realize that he was not the only one with unique abilities. He discovered that there were other vampires and werewolves in the world,
A THREAT OF MISCARRIAGEZara lay in her bed, writhing in pain. She clutched her stomach, tears streaming down her face as she tried to fight off the pain that was tearing through her body. She knew what was happening - she was having a miscarriage.Drake sat by her side, holding her hand and whispering words of comfort. But he knew that there was nothing he could do to ease her pain. He had never felt so helpless in his life.Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Drake stood up to answer it, and he was surprised to find the vampire king standing outside."Your highness," Drake said, bowing respectfully. "What brings you here?"The vampire king's face was grim as he stepped inside. "I have come to help your Luna," he said. "I sense that she is in great pain."Drake led the vampire king to Zara's side, where she was still moaning in agony. The vampire king knelt beside her, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly light."Let me help," he said, placing a hand on Zara's forehead. She fli
THE WOLF WITHINZara had always known that she was different. As a wolf, she had a grace and power that was unmatched by any other in the pack. But it wasn't until the scientists came that she realized just how special she really was. They had been watching her for weeks, tracking her movements and taking samples of her blood. Zara didn't know why they were doing it, but she could sense that something was off. She felt like a lab rat, and she didn't like it one bit.One day, when the scientists came to take her blood again, something inside Zara snapped. She felt a surge of energy flow through her body, and suddenly she was surrounded by a brilliant white light. The scientists were taken aback, staring at her in shock as her transformation continued. Her fur turned white as snow, and her eyes began to glow with an otherworldly power.Zara didn't know what was happening, but she knew that she had to get out of there. With a fierce growl, she lunged at the nearest scientist, her jaws sn
THE JOURNEY OF THE LONE WOLFNARRATOR'S POVDrake ran as fast as he could through the thick forest, the leaves crunching beneath his paws. He could feel the wind blowing through his fur as he dodged branches and trees in his way. He didn't stop until he was deep within the woods, far away from anyone who might be able to track him down.He let out a howl, a mournful cry that echoed through the trees. It was a cry of pain and loss, for his Luna Zara had been taken from him. He was not satisfied by his kills even though they had deserved death, their blood did not placate him. He remembered last night's event, he wondered how they took Zara away because there were no signs of a struggle, no clues as to where she had been taken. It was as if she had vanished into thin air.Drake had been devastated. Zara was his mate, his soulmate, and he had loved her deeply. They were just starting their journey, and he couldn't imagine life without her. He had searched for her tirelessly but to no ava
MISSING NARRATOR'S POV"Zara…Zara…Zara" Drake ran up the flight of stairs in search of his wife when he noticed she was the only one not there. He was already in great panic. His memory of last night was still blurry and his head hurt like hell. As he called for his wife, he tried to make sense of what was happening and also recall what happened last night. He remembered having an informal dinner with his betas present, Zara was also there and he almost forgot he had invited those two men. A feeling of dread rushed over him, who really were William and Seth? "Where are they?" Drake nearly screamed off the pack house."Who?" Mark looked on in confusion, his head was throbbing and he could still not feel some part of his body."Our guests, William and Seth Alpha and of Shadow pack. Have you seen them?""No, I have not, oh my goodness. I hope that they don't have anything to do with this." Mark replied."I think they are the brains behind all this, they are gone, and so is my Zara." D

She would branch into the cafe for her favorite chocolate milkshake then continue with her walk. However, she met one of the twins Jasmine and her mother Cecilia in the cafe. She was surprised when they stopped her and engaged in small talk. The rude young lady with a temper sounded more mature and accommodating, even her mother was not as condescending as before.Zara was not sure what brought about the change but whatever it was she was happy to see so much growth in Jasmine. When they finally parted ways Zara could not continue with her planned walk because it was almost noon.On her way back, Zara felt goosebumps run over her body,
HOW DO WE GO ABOUT ITNARRATOR'S POVDrake checked his phone and it had five missed calls all from Justine. "You would think I have stolen his mate or something," Drake mumbled"Is everything alright?" Zara turned to face him."Yes, don't worry, go back to sleep." He kissed her forehead, and Zara slept off almost immediately.Drake left the bed and went to the balcony. It had been ages since he ran and it was just some minutes to six. He could run if he wanted to, his wolf beckoned to the forest and it howled begging for release. The fresh air and the dews called out to his wolf. He was already naked because he loved sleeping naked and since Zara came into his life, it was easier and best to sleep skin-to-skin with her. From his balcony, he jumped out and stretched, shifting to his wolf form in the air and landing on his paws. He ran into the woods with so much gust, strength, and power. His nose flared from the early morning wind, his paws romanced the damp earth, and Drake was fulf
ARE THEY FOR REALNARRATOR'S POV"Why did you choose our pack?" Drake asked the visitors."We have heard a lot of good things about the Blackwood pack even before we were invaded and we thought of you guys first upon our escape," William replied, he made a point of meeting the eyes of each man in the room"For your own sake, I hope you are telling the truth." Drake replied "We don't like traitors and if you plan to deceive us you will wish the wolf hunters had dealt with you and not us." I understand sir, all I want is help to rescue my pack," William repeated."We will get back to you." Drake's mind linked a guard who took the two men away, he was to provide them food and shelter and they must be guarded at all times. As soon as William and Seth left the room, Drake and his betas went in for a private meeting just within them. "There seems to be trouble waiting on standby for us," Justine remarked"Why do you say that?" Mark asked, "We have been solving one case after another for
