Proposing to Zara was the best decision I had made in a long time. An eternity with her was the only way I wanted to live, she was my mate, my lover, and the mother to my heir. I could not have asked for more from the moon goddess.

I also asked Zara to marry me on my mother's birthday, even though she was dead I still wanted to honor her memory. Even as Luna my mother had died of a broken heart.

It was a long time ago, I was barely a teenager and knew little or nothing about running a pack. My father was the alpha and was in charge of the pack until we were attacked by wolf hunters. He fought bravely but sadly lost his life in the process.
