"I don't get it. Why do I have to meet your parents?" Gabby complained as they were both trying to get dressed.
"Well, it's your fault that they know you were here. You tried to sneak out earlier remember. So the entire household know you’re here."
"You told me you'll show me your house. You didn't tell me it was your parents' house. If I knew that last night, I would have never spent the night here. You are full of lies." Gabby stated pissed at Jake.
"Hey, knock it off. I didn't lie to you. And beside I didn't force myself to you. I was pretty sure we both know what we were doing."
"Don't give me that bullshit. Oh wait, you did lie. You lied to everyone by telling them I'm your fiancé."
"Gabby, I was just playing a stupid mind game with my father. Can you please do this for me just this once?" He wrapped his arms around Gabby's waist. "I would forever be in your debt."
"You don't have to owe me anything. Just promise me that this is the first and last time you would get me into a stupid charade."
"Deal." He pecked Gabby's lips. "Just be normal. Don't try to impress them or anything."
"I wasn't born to impress anyone but myself. We will just eat breakfast then we are out of here. Okay?"
"We might not even last the entire breakfast, trust me. Me and my father in one table rarely ends up well."
All eyes were on them as they enter the dining hall. Gabby smiled at everyone confidently as Jake escorted her to her seat. Ian can be intimidating bur Gabby is not somebody who easily get intimidated. Maggie looks very excited to see them and the twin looked like they saw a celebrity.
"Good morning, I'm so sorry about the incident earlier." Gabby stated once she was seated.
"Oh dear, that's alright. I'm Maggie, Jake's stepmother."
"Oh yes, sorry. Where are my manners? Everyone this is Gabrielle. Gabby meet everyone." Jake stated. "Jessica and Jenna my sisters, my stepmother and my father."
"Hi." Gabby smiled.
"You have to make sure that next time you invite someone over you let us know ahead of time. And make sure that they don't try to sneak out like thieves early morning." Ian stated.
"I'm sorry about that. I was just planning to get my bag from the car I wasn't sneaking out. I didn't realize that the house had an alarm that was malfunctioning. Because I'm pretty sure that it was supposed to switch on when someone breaks in not when someone is leaving the house. You should really have that check."
"You have a big mouth for a young lady." Ian stated obviously not happy with Gabby. "The alarm was not malfunctioning. I set it up that way to make sure that none of my kids sneak out."
"Oh, alright." Gabby stated and started eating the food Jake place on her plate.
"Where, when and how did you two meet?" Ian asked Jake.
"Father, can we do this another time. We're eating." Jake responded.
"Ian dear. Jake's right perhaps you two can chat after we finish eating."
"What's wrong with my question? I just want to know, who is this girl eating breakfast with us." Ian stated angrily.
"It's alright. Calm down." Gabby interrupted. "Where? At the bar. When? 6 or 7 months ago. How? I work there."
"You brought a hooker in my house." Ian slammed the table angrily.
"Excuse me." Gabby stood up and glared at Ian. "I said I work at the bar I didn't say I was a prostitute. I'm a bartender."
"You are out of the line, Jason. You shouldn't expect me to welcome someone like her in this family. She would be an embarrassment to our family's reputation."
"That's all you care about this family's reputation when we all know that it's just and image but inside we are all rotting in hell." Jake yelled back.
"Would all of you please calm down?" Maggie stated crying. "When will you two ever get along? Ever since Jake quit the army you two always fight."
"Because he always does things to humiliate me and this family." Ian pointed at Jake disgustingly.
"With all due respect sir, I think you should look in the mirror and see what you are doing right now." Gabby retorted.
"You are in no place to speak to me that way." Ian shouted at Gabby.
"I can speak anyway I want. You don't want me as part of your family. Guess what I'm not interested to be involved in any way with an arrogant asshole like you. You think to highly of yourself be careful you might lose your balance and fell of your pedestal head first." Jake just let Gabby talk back to his father while he tried to calm down Maggie.
"You fucking whore." Ian yelled.
"I wouldn't push it old man." Gabby stabbed the table with her bread knife. "Next time you call me a whore I will kill you with my own two hands."
"You have a death wish." Ian stated
"Call it anyway you want it. I have an advice for you two girls. Get the fuck out of here. Don't let this imbecile jerk manipulate your lives. Get out while you still can because this place is a hell on earth." Gabby started to walk out the dining hall. "Let's go Jake. This place stinks."
Jake and Gabby walked out the house holding hands while Ian shouting and cursing at them. He practically disowned Jake and threatens to ruin Gabby's life. They were silent for the next five minutes as Jake drives then they both suddenly irrupted with laughter.
"I'm sorry. I wasn't planning to have you disowned I just got really pissed off with your father." Gabby stated.
"Trust me. That was the first time my father was out of control with a stranger. You sure know how to put the man in his place. I'm sorry about the way he treated you. He is just not used being talked back by anyone."
"Well, I don't take shit from anyone. At least now I know where you got your attitude from. You and your father are one of a kind."
"Maybe but his a bigger jerk than I am. Don't worry about it. He always disowns me. And he always changes his mind. We have to keep a good family front."
"I don't care. He was a total asshole and he just got to pick the wrong fight with a bitch like me."
"Well, I didn't honestly think that you would talk back to him. I just thought you would let it pass."
"I was but I was kind of pissed that you put me on that fucking situation so I kind of lost it. It was fun though. But that is the last time and I mean it, that you would get me involve with your family."
"Alright, sweetheart. Let's grab some food before I drive you home."
"Sounds like a plan. I'm starving. I don't think we had dinner last night, did we?"
"I'm pretty sure we were too busy eating each other." Jake responded. "But don't worry about my father I'll take care of it and he won't even go near you."
"Whatever you say, I don’t really care."
They ate breakfast together and get to know more about each other. It was mostly Jake who answered Gabby's questions since she pointed out that he just kept quiet while she argued with his father. He shared how his mother died and why he hated his father. Gabby just listened and didn't make any snide remarks. She always wished she had a family. A real family even as crazy as the one Jake has. That was perhaps the reason she liked Cassie. They were both orphans, no family to turn to. They just got each other. Her adoptive family was out of the equation.
"Best, where the hell have you been?" Cassie yelled at Gabby as she walked in the bar with Jake."Westchester." Gabby responded. "I knew I'll find you here. I saw Cole's car parked outside.""You took her to your parents' house?" Cole glared at Jake."Uh huh." Jake said nodding at Cole."And it was a blast." Gabby stated laughing."Why are you two together?" Cassie looked at the two o
"What the hell is your problem?" Gabby asked Jake after she successfully pulled him out of the bar to the back alley."I missed you. I came all the way from the airport and I went here to see you. But you seem to be unhappy to see me. You're even using Cole to make me jealous." He responded."You're drunk. How the hell did you manage to drive here in that condition?""My driver but that's not the point why aren't you happy to see me?""Listen, Mr. Anderson, you're my boss and you are no
Jake and Cole arrived at the bar that same day together around five in the afternoon. They already sorted things out and everything was alright between them. Jake doesn’t keep secrets from Cole they were like brothers. Nicholai was still out on a business trip so it was just the two of them talking about the issue at hand."Jake, seriously bro she's just not into you. I mean she sneaked out on you." Cole sated laughing at Jake’s predicament. "She left a fucking note. I don't get it. Who does that?" Jake stated totally pissed."Are
"Jake, I have something to tell you." Gabby stated while checking the time, it was almost five in the morning."Let me guess, you had an argument with Cassie regarding his cheating boyfriend Jonathan and you want me to have the man killed." He responded."I'm serious." Gabby stated as she put on Jake's shirt before walking out the bedroom."I was just trying to lighten up the mood. What's wrong?" Jake sat next to her at the couch. "You seem off since you got here.""I can't do this anym
The last thing Gabby expected was to see Jake at her front door in the middle of the night. Everything was doing great for her. Her life is back on track. Cassie was out with Jonathan and she was pretty sure that he would already propose. So Gabby is already preparing to move out and explore a different city. Once Cassie gets married, Gabby will be heading off to Miami, a fresh new start, a new place and a whole new adventure. There was a loud knock at the front door so Gabby hurriedly check who was it."Jake, what the hell are you doing here?" Gabby stated as he peeked through the door. "Do you know what time it is?""Gabby, sweetheart. I need to talk to you." He tried pushing the door but
"Good morning." Jake embraced her tightly as Gabby switched off her alarm."You should go." Gabby stated as she snuggled closer to Jake."What time is it?" Jake looked at her. "Did you sleep?""No, I was thinking." She sat on the bed and stare at Jake."So?" Jake smiled at her lazily. "What's the verdict?""I hate you." Gabby grabbed a pillow and smashed it on Jake's face.
Gabby's POVI'm not a perfect person. I have a lot of things that I wished and hope I didn't do. But never once have I regret my decisions. I take risk and live my life at the moment. I may plan ahead and make sure I see things in advance even before it even happens. But never in a thousand times did I imagine or thought of the day I doubt my own choice. I always take the risky choice and make thousands of crazy decisions. Now here I am lying in bed wondering what the fuck has gotten into my mind.I've known met Jake eight months ago. I saw all the warning and tried my best not to get involved with him but what can I say the forbidden fruit always taste better. I d
Jake's POVA relationship is something that I have always avoided. I don't think that I can survive having some breathing on my neck and following me around like a sick puppy. Women are like that. They would be keeping tabs on you and everything that you do should go according to their ways once you give them the right. It's a fucking death sentence and I promised myself that I would never go that road ever. But I just got to meet her, Gabrielle Simons and now here I am committing suicide.I like her so much that it was difficult for me to stay away from her. Like that's right, I don't love her or anything but she wanted to go that route. She was different from any
EndJake and Blair finally found their way back into each other’s arms. They are now happily married with two lovely children. They may not be the perfect couple but they have learned that they do not need to be perfect. They just needed to be together. They discovered through their experience what love truly means.
Blair's POVJake really is something. I never imagined seeing him on his knees to propose. I can't believe that he was able to convince Evgeni and Papa Ivan to show up and participate in his little act. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out as he planned it to be. My morning sickness has been getting worse and I throw up nonstop in the morning. I couldn't keep anything down my stomach except for ice cream. I know how embarrassing it is for Jake to be doing this and I was having the time of my life watching him in his discomfort. I know that I have already decided to be with him the moment I set my foot back in New York. I just wanted to enjoy this moment when he finally put all his guard down and do something completely out of his character.
Jake's POVI didn't see it coming. I was really surprised to learn that Blair is pregnant. She was back but the current issue with Sheila might just split us apart. I clarified the issue with the media and Sheila resigned from her position. Cole decided to hire her instead in his company. It took a lot of time and effort to fix it. I didn't want to talk to Blair until the issue was settled. I control my urge to go see her and it was driving me nuts. I wanted to do something that she least expected. And it could either get us back together faster or it can make me chase after her longer. But I wasn't ready to give up on us. We are going to get back together no matter what.
Blair's POV"I'm sorry. I can't do this anymore." I stated and went back to the house."Sweetheart, you can't just drop the bomb and leave as if nothing happened.""You can't just fuck your secretary and pretend it never happened." I countered."Sweetheart, please calm down. It's not good for the baby. I don't want you stressing out over something that is not even true." I pleaded.
Jake's POVI wanted to see Blair so badly but the universe seems to be against my side. I couldn't just show up in Miami unannounced since Blair and I had an agreement. I didn't want to upset her by not doing what we agreed on. Unfortunately, we weren't able to meet since our trip to Canada. Both of us had been very busy and so we weren't able to meet. I needed to see her so I did all that I can to have my schedule clear for next weekend. It's been four weeks since we've been together.A lot of people were spreading rumours about me and Sheila sleeping together. I didn't want to make any comments since it would just make the issue big. I always have her next to me
Blair's POV They say that unplanned things sometimes are the best things that can happen in life. And after our trip to Canada, I had a chance to think back of all the things that happened between me and Jake. I don't really regret the time that we separated but I cherish it because I was able to find a purpose to live my life for myself and not for others. I was happy that I was able to make decisions and choices for myself without worrying about the consequences of my actions about others. All my life, I pretended to be indifferent and say I don't care; but the truth is I always do. I wasn't just ready to admit it. I always wanted to get the satisfaction of getting others approval with my every action and be impressed with what I was capable of. Time away from Jak
Jake's POVBlair is a person that gets whatever she wants. And I was someone that is willing to give her everything she wanted. I can sleep around but nothing would ever compare to her. She has the body that I can worship forever and never get tired of. She can match my intensity and we already are accustomed with each other’s body. I caress her naked body as she lay on top of me in my suite's living room. We were both trying to catch our breath and I can feel myself being arouse with our current position."Jake, I have to go." She tried to get up but I embrace her tightly.
Blair's POVI can't believe that I almost got screwed inside an elevator. I mean, Jake is someone that Ican't easily resist. He makes me lose my sanity so I guess it was really a losing battle. He continued checking me out while I try to fix myself. I was a mess. And the way Jake was looking at me was driving me crazy. I might end up jumping at him if these people don't get us out soon. The elevator door was opened at last but it was in between floors."Are you two, alright?""No. What the hell were you people doing? How could it take you almost an hour to
Jake's POVI didn't want to spend five days with Blair in Canada but I had no choice since it was Cole and Andrea's wedding. They wanted an exclusive wedding. They only invited family and friends. The wedding was going to be held at Cole's ancestral house. It was just a small and simple celebration. Andrea just requested that all their friends spend five days with them. And that includes me and Blair. I wasn't about to go to my friend’s wedding with some random woman I picked up as my date for some social events. So I invited my secretary to come with me.Sheila was a fresh graduate and she has been working for me for six months now. She is young, beaut
