CHAPTER FIVE: Awake

"Some people will not hurt you, you just need to trust them."

Someone POV

As I drove I sometimes looked at the woman lying next to me. The woman was almost dull because of the blood flowing to the side of her waist. While my voice was nervous while talking to Elise.

"Elise ... damn, I need your help. I found a girl," I said nervously on the other line so she started screaming. I want to take the cellphone away from my ear because I can hear her audible screaming.

"For you?" I closed my eyes in great annoyance when I heard Elise answer me. Fuck! This is not the right time for a joke.

"Fuck, no! She's bleeding!"

"Oh my gosh! What did you do to her? Did the two of you ---" I did not finish what she was going to say when I shouted again on the other line. I knew immediately what was on her mind.

"Bullshit! This is not the right time for the two of us to joke! She's bleeding and I don't know why. If she was stabbed or what. Just ... please, go to my house and check on her, you should be the first to me because her condition is serious. " I just said and turned off the call. I went back to being serious and continued driving.

I accelerated my driving even more and just a few minutes later I was here in front of our house. So I immediately blew the horn and the guards opened the gate for me.

When I entered, I saw Elise's car, fortunately, she was there immediately. I did not park my car properly and immediately got out and quickly took the woman out of my car.

"Cardo, you just have to park it properly," I ordered and hurried into the house.

When I entered the mansion, the housemates I met were stunned so they did not greet me. Some of my maids even stopped cleaning what they were doing. I immediately shouted as I entered the house.

"Elise!"

Manang suddenly appeared in front of me when she heard my voice. She was also dumbfounded to see who was with me.

"My goodness, what happened to the two of you?! Who is that girl, Lucas? And why does she look not good?! What did you do to her ?!" Manang asked me one question after another and stared at me.

"I didn't raise you to steal a woman, Lucas!" Manang shouted again so I spoke before her mouth continued.

"Manang, I'll explain later. Where is Elise? I need her help," I said confused and Elise came down in shock as well.

"Lucas, take her to the bedroom, she might lose more blood. I will just prepare all the medical kits that I will use," she said to me so I quickly went upstairs and brought the woman from the guestroom.

I was shocked when I remembered that she needed to undress, so I just closed my eyes and when I was about to undress her, Elise came. I even saw the shock in his eyes because of what I was going to do.

"I will do that. Just wait outside until I finish checking her," he said so I just nodded and left the room.

When I came out, Manang appeared in front of me. Her eyes were asking. So I took a deep breath and explained it to her quickly.

"Manang, it's not what you think. I didn't run over her or what. I ..." Fuck! I lost my words. I feel like something is blocking my throat so I can't continue what I have to say. My voice cracked when I spoke again.

"I almost hit her, she suddenly came across me on the road. So I immediately stopped my car and saw that she was in that condition. And, I swear and pray to God that I can not do such a thing," I explained nervously at her, and stared straight into her eyes.

I saw Manang breathe easily and her face straightened. She stared at me and smiled.

"I know, Lucas. I was just surprised because this is your first time bringing a woman and the situation is like that. Besides, I trust you. Change your clothes first because it is full of bloodstains. I will be the one who waits first. " I still doubt if I will leave.

But I did nothing when Manang pushed me softly, before leaving Manang smiled at me again so I left completely.

Four hours later. All the time, I was roaming around here outside my room. I almost broke down the door where the woman I rescued was there because Elise still has not yet done it.

I stood up when I saw Elise remove her mask and gloves. I could see the pity and tiredness in her eyes.

"We almost lost her, Lucas, but I did my best to keep her alive," she said so I breathed a sigh of relief at what I heard. Fortunately, I acted quickly, otherwise, the woman might have died.

"What happened to her? Why does she look like that? Does something bad happen to her?"

"If you can hear what I have to say, I hope you do not get furious or what. You need to calm down first," she reminded, seemingly estimating how I would react. I even frowned at what she was saying.

"I'm calm, Elise"

"I found two bullets near in here right abdomen and I thought at first it was only one bullet hit her but no, it was two. And ..." Elise interrupted her speech as if she did not want to continue next to say.

"Continue, I'm waiting ..."

"And ... She got raped, " she almost whispered. "And because of that, there's a possibility that she will be traumatized, Lucas." When she said that I clenched my fist and felt the anger envelop me.

I did not know the woman but when I heard what Elise said I felt like I wanted to find the one who did it to her and pay for what she did. People nowadays are so fucking demons!

"Lucas, we need to stay by her side and guide her when she woke up," she added, keeping me quiet.

She doesn't deserve this world, they are cruel to her. How dare they do that kind of a pain to her!

I looked at the woman in the room. There was oxygen attached to her. I remembered the last word she said to me before she lost consciousness.

"Save me, please ..."

Don't worry, I will save you.

It's been three weeks but the woman lying in bed is still not waking up. Every day when I go home I immediately look at her to see if she is awake.

I still notice the wounds and bruises on her face and cheek. Some of her bruises have healed. Elsie said that her abdomen was okay where the bullet hit. I'm just waiting for her to wake up.

I was looking at her face and memorizing it. Her heart faces shape, her round eyes, pinkish lip. Her cheek, and her nose. Elise is right, she's too pure and innocent. She's like an angel sent from above.

What I just don’t know is why the world is retaliating against her like this. She doesn't deserve it. She deserves love and everything. How could the man who made him a nightmare sleep so soundly?

He can still move on with life if he scatters with someone who has a dream and an innocent woman.

I was just surprised when her fingers suddenly moved and at the same time, her eyes opened. I immediately moved toward her and held her hand in extreme confusion.

"Hi? How are you?" I consult her nervously without thinking about what I did to her. But instead of answering, I was surprised by what she did and it was instantly hit on my face.

She threw a pillow at me.

He has a gun pointed at me now, any minute that passing by he can shoot me. I shook my head and talked about letting him go. But I just cried when he smiled and ...

I opened my eyes and felt around me. I could feel the trembling of my body. I was just surprised when someone grabbed me.

Suddenly my heart pounded, I was terrified. He speaks but I do not understand a single word of his.

My brain is still extremely much in the cloud and trying to process what is happening to me. I do not know what I will do first because I do not know the person in front of me now.

It was as if I wanted to run or hide because of the fear I was feeling right now, so at an unexpected moment, I threw a pillow at him. I was about to leave my bed when he suddenly hugged me so I attempted to get a grip on him.

"Damn! Miss, don't move. Your wound may bleed again," he told me but I struggled even harder to get rid of him. But he tightened his grip on me even more.

I close my eyes tightly because of what he did. I was even more scared and confused by the way he was handling me. So I struggled even more in his embrace.

I don't want anyone to touch me, no matter who is he, I feel like he will do something wrong to me. Maybe later he will conspire with that person and kill me forever.

"Please, I'm begging. Don't move. Your wound is bleeding again." He begged me a few times but I struggled even more.

"Don't touch me! You will hurt me too!" I shouted repeatedly while crying out loud.

I was just surprised when a doctor came in and immediately injected something into me. Suddenly my eyelids became heavy even though I was breathing. Although I wanted to see their faces, I did not do it because the darkness swallowed me up.

I opened my eyes and pure darkness opened over me. I forced myself to sit even though my body was in so much pain, including my head as well. I just got caught up in it and was in pain.

I roamed my eyes across the darkroom and sighed. I was about to go down but I just shouted when someone grabbed me causing me to fight with fear.

I was shivering in fear when I saw a man holding me now. So I shouted and forced myself to walk away from him.

"Don't, don't touch me!" I crouched down when I shouted again but the man tightened his grip on me, I could see how confused he was.

"W-wait ... I will not hurt you but please, stop shouting. I will not hurt you, promise," the man said gently but I just shook my head.

I don't want to, I don't want to believe in him. I know he was just pretending, so he can do what he was planning to do.

So I dared to stand up and kicked his middle part causing him to loosen his grip on me. I took the opportunity to run away from him.

"Fuck! It hurts! Damn!" I heard his cussing but I did not understand him and finally came out.

When I opened the bedroom door, a hallway opened up to me. So I hurriedly ran and searched the stairs. I even met a doctor who was holding a medical kit.

She let go of the medical kit she was holding and as she was about to block me I felt someone hug me from behind.

"Let me go!" I shouted. I felt my eyes water because of the nervousness and fear I was feeling. I feel like they will hurt me too.

The female doctor approached me and said, "Ms ... please calm down. We will not hurt you."

I kept crying because of what I heard from them. I was weak and suddenly my knees almost fell to the floor, but because the person behind me was helping me to stand up again. I felt someone wipe my tears from my cheeks.

"Stop crying Lilie, we will not hurt you."
