Chapter 2 : Family Affairs

Larry's POV

Larry  Larson was nervously  walking all around , in the living room ,after the announcement that his father has just informed him.

Getting married was not on his plan list so soon ,but what he didn't understand was why .

"Why should i get married ? I don't want to ! I can't even take care of myself , how will i be able to take care of a wife ? "

"Then how do you take care of those babes you bring home everynight , huh? " ,Larry's father answered.

"That's out of scope !"

"No it's not ,Larry! You just have  to take care of her ,love her, make love to her , make her happy. That's your only duty as a perfect husband ! "

" Hahaha! Do you mean ; being her babysitter? No ,no and no! I don't want this ! I can't love only one woman for the rest of my life , no way! "

"Stop being so selfish Larry ! "

" I love to share my love . But i like to share it  with someone new ,everyday,you see.Those stuffs of...getting married and have kids ,that's not me! That's old school! Hahahaha! Getting married! Best joke ever, seriously!"

"Oh stop with this stupidity Larry. You are already thirty ,you need to get a wife, have kids...life is so short my son...We need to have a heir for this family! "

"I am! I'm the only heir of the Larsons ! No need to find new people for that! ( Touching his fathers' shoulder)

Dear father, i know all of these...No need to remind me. But ,i'll tell you something ; i don't need any woman to survive. Thinking of this ,pffff...with all their gossips ,their jealous rage and everything...humm no! You see ; being free and having a new different woman in your bed each day ,is better !They come and they go (snaps fingers) , just like that,dad! "

"Being a bachelor and a philanderer all your life will discredit the Larsons ! "

"Hahaha no...no...no! My answer will still be NO! I think that you don't get it! Dad! I won't ever get married! Never! So , as for now on , you should forget about the fact of having a daughter-in-law! Oooops , sorry! I mean, a FAKE daughter-in-law! Well , it's been a pleasure talking to you dad , but i have a lot of work to do at one of my office. So goodbye!"

"You ,ungrateful son! No , you're not leaving! "

Larry's father scolded him .

"Oh yes , the ungrateful son is leaving!

Father! I respect you a lot , but this time i won't be able to obey to you! Not for this! If i wanted to get married ,i could have done it some years ago ,but i ain't ready for this kind of life!

I know that maybe you'll get angry or hate me ...but as i told you ; don't want to get married. And worst ; to a stranger that i barely know , and that i swear , is an old cougar looking for a rich young man!"

" Buahahaha! "

His father nearly choke while laughing .

"What is it? (Larry's face turned as pale as a sheet) Please , don't tell me that i'm going to marry an older woman , dad please! What a dirty mind you got! "

" My son , as you know , i don't have that much time to wait till you finally decide to get a wife. I have at least three or four months left to live ...so this is your father's last wish. You literally know that i wouldn't ask you to do such thing , if it didn't matter to me. When i'll leave this world , i'll rest in peace. For, at least i know that you'll have your own family...I'm an old man with a little hint of hope that one day ,his son is going to have a very happy family ! I'm not afraid to die ...the only fear that i got ...is that you won't have a shoulder to cry on when i'll be gone...!"

" Dad...dad please..don't say that...i can't accept the fact that ...you'll...pffffft ...damn! This is so unfair ! "

" That's certainly unfair ,my son, but that's life . We can't do anything about it. Please think...oh wait...wait ...someone is calling me ....i'm going to talk outside, this is an important call. And yes, please do think about it !"

Larry's father rushed outside the office ,and slammed the door as he went .

Larry leaned against his office table , and scratched his head.
