Weasels and snakes

GABRIEL’S POV,

Gabriel feels the anger rage through his body when he looks at that pathetic excuse of a man. Javier looks at him with fear in his eyes. It is the first time Gabriel sees him show signs of fear. Javier quickly lets go of Julias and walks backward whimpering, “Please don’t kill me, I will do anything you ask.”

Gabriel doesn’t take his eyes off Javier when he says to Luna and Julias, “Get behind me.”

At the same moment Lord Midas storms into the hallway. His eyes go over the scene wildly and he quickly walks to Javier. “What on earth is going on?”

Luna walks out from the dark and Lord Midas his eyes go over her blue spots and torn dress. Luna points at Javier and says angrily, “He tried to rape me!”

Lord Midas gives Javier a strict look, “Those bruises on my daughter are unacceptable Javier. I cannot let you marry her if you will beat her.”
