Samuel frowned when he had to press the password to get in the condo. He open the front door of their condo. To his surprise the condo was still dark.
The lights turned on at the sound of Samuel's footsteps. Samuel remembered Lion was spending a night at the vet's.
"June?" He called and looked around but he saw no sign of June. There wasn't his jacket on the couch or his shoes clumsily thrown on the doormat.
A chill went down his spine as Samuel dropped the groceries and pulled out his phone.
He dialed James' number.
"Hello?"
"James? Is June with you?" Samuel worriedly asked.
"No," James sounded confused, "His shift ends early today so he left early."
