REJECTION

LUCIFER POV

Immediately I sat on the throne, I gave my orders to proceed the ceremony. I recline my back on my throne as I watched the women dance around to catch my attention.

I never wanted to attend the ceremony but seeing how important it is I was forced to come. I might be putting on a cold face but that’s how I was since I was little. I have never smiled, laughed or show any expression on my face and because of that I have been feared.

I hated everything I set my eyes on but I just need to act calm and hope I never find my mate. And for some reasons I never wanted a mate.

Each year, I reject women given to me as a mate by the moon goddess. I loved been an alpha without a mate but what’s an alpha without a Luna?. I never wanted a mate but since it’s a must and part of a rule of been an alpha, I had no other objection.

‘Mate’ my wolf whispered yelled in excitement. He was clueless if I might reject her just like I have rejected other women mated to me. ‘mate’ He whispered continually and I tried supressing him to keep silent. This time he was stronger, I guess he was fed up of me rejecting his companion.

A strong fascinating scent hit my nose,rose and sandal woods. It smelt amazing that I had to inhaled to perceive it deeper. It made me calm and my wolf took it as an opportunity to take over me.

I didn’t know when I stood up from my throne and strode pass through the crowd as they parted and let me pass.

My wolf was full with pride and power as he controlled my every movement till I got out of the hall. The scent got stronger and my wolf growled when it spotted a woman and I couldn't see her face because her back was facing us. She was making an attempt to leave but we stopped her.

My eyes were wide open and refused to close. The powers capturing me made it uneasy to control my wolf. I lean forward, towards her and picked a strand of her hair. I tilt my head, pulling it close to my nose and sniff it.

The urge to mark her as mine overpowered me that I shifted her hair, covering her neck, aside. Using my other hand, I collared her neck and incline my face to her fresh alluring neck. ‘mine’ my wolf growled, he was excited to have finally met his mate. I extended my teeth and pierced it to the crook of her neck, marking her as mine.

An electrifying spark eurpted in my body when I heard her muffled a moan.

I tugged away from her when I have conquered my wolf from controlling me. It was too late now, she has already been marked by me.

I heard her gasp, touching her neck with trembling hands before she turned to look at me.

She smiled at me, admiring me with her sparkling blue eyes and I couldn’t help but feel disgust staring at her ugly face. She’s not the woman I wanted and yet my wolf marked her.

Her skin was light-brown and her eyes were bliss-blue, she had an electrifying smile on her face. Her eyes were dazzling, round-brown eyes and half-moon cheekbones.Her dark-hair swooped in coils over her swan’s neck.She had puffy, pouting lips and they were tempting to kiss. Her figures were well-shaped with her massive breast that weren't packaged.

I stared at her, having observing with the coldest look ever, I was disgusted by her look.

Why would the moon goddess mate me with someone like her, I considered her a curse and not a mate.

Slowly I could see her smile faded away.

“I, Lucifer Demi…”. I was going to reject her but what she said surprised me.

“No I Jessica Brianna rejects you as my mate”. She snapped in before I could even complete my statement.

My wolf growled at me in anger and I glared at her.

“Did she just reject me?”. I soliloquize.

JESSICA POV

I gasped as I reached for my neck with my hands trembling. I turned and saw him, I smiled that I finally found a mate who accepted me. But seeing it was Lucifer, my smile faded away. He was staring at me with no expression in his face. His eyes colour darken and I could tell he never expected this to happen.

“Wasn’t he the one that marked me?”. I asked myself as I stare into his dangerous cold eyes that were staring at me with nothing but disgust.

"I, Lucifer Demi..."

Immediately I heard him say that, I knew he was going to reject me.

"No I Jessica Brianna rejects you as my mate". I said before he could finish his statement.

My wolf growled at me for rejecting him but I don't give a fuck, it's about me and not her.

‘Who does he thinks he is'

“How dare you?”. Lucifer growled at me as he reached for my hair and grabbed it. I arched my neck and hissed in pain. His jaw clenched as he gaze at me. He pulled my hair back and made me look up at him to meet his gaze. Dangerous.

I panicked in fear, I haven’t been this scared before in my life. The worst part is that no one was around watching, we were the ones alone outside. What if he tries to kill me and no one was unable to save me. It won’t bother anyone because I’m useless.

“Who do you think you are to reject an alpha?”. Lucifer questioned in a deep husky voice and it made me shivered in horror.

My knees buckled up and I was weak.

Pure hatred and coldness was only the emotion in his face.

I was scared, my wolf whimpered in pains as she couldn’t do anything rather than to submit to him. I was holding on to my ego and showed him no fear in my face.

He gritted his teeth that it made the vein in his neck to pop out, his eyes redden.

“Let me go”. I cried out.

“I thought you will never ask”. Lucifer said with a smirk and pushed me.

I landed my ass on the hard surface and it made a loud sound; BOOM! It hurts so bad that it made the tears I was holding to gush out.

“Prepare yourself tonight, you’re leaving with me”. Lucifer asserted with authority.

“Never!”. I spat.

“It’s not an invitation, is an order”. Lucifer said and before I knew it. I saw two heavty built men approached me. They looked at him and he gave them a signal before one of them pulled me up to his shoulder.

I whimpered and yelled as I wriggled my body to pull free.

“Let me go!!!”. I yelled contionusly but all my screaming were invaded. They carried me along with them and I wondered where they were taking me to.
