CHAPTER 48: MY MOTHER, MY ENEMY

Ruby's POV

I felt empty inside. Time and life moved fast without me in it. Vincent did everything in his power to make me comfortable but it would never be enough. It's been a whole month since Elena and her mate stole our pup. I'm still in a bit of shock.

"How are you feeling today?" Vincent asked kissing my forehead. "I'm ready to assume my duties again. When I'm sitting around I only feel ridiculously helpless," I confessed.
