The students started walking out of the event hall and news men and women started rushing towards them and started interviewing them. Most of the students were to be on Tv so most of them were so happy and said all kinds of things.
A newswoman approached Fikayo and Blessing startling them both.
“Hello, I am a reporter for the TVC news, I see you came straight from school to attend Lashe’s concert. Isn’t that so?” she asked as Blessing intertwined her hands together with Fikayo.
“Yeah. We came straight from school” Blessing replied.
“Yeah, we came as one of Lashe’s biggest fan is our friend” Fikayo said and laughed as she pulled Ibukun to the front of the camera. Ibukun looked puzzled at the camera before smiling a little.
“Hello, your friends just claimed you are Lashe’s biggest fan, is that true?”
“I like to believe that” Ibukun replied with a smile.
“Ohh, what you like to believe. So what makes you want to believe that you are Lashe’s bigg
Lashe’s jaw dropped as he watched the Tv. After his concert, he had skilfully escaped from the jaws of the newsmen and reporters that were crowded at the centre but he soon noticed a video had gone viral. At first, he was planning to ignore it but he soon noticed he was getting tagged like crazy and tags like; Lashe’s biggest fan, the love of a fan and bla bla bla started trending on twitter and he was stupefied when he opened the Tv and watched Ibukun’s interview. His manager shook his head as he continued watching. Lashe had recognised Ibk the moment he had seen her. He was flabbergasted at the turn of events. Toluwanimi had always gisted him there and here about her sister crazy love for him and he had always laughed and said that she was childish but as he listened to her; inexplicable joy and happiness filled every corner of his heart to the brim.“She’s really a big fan” Lashe’s manager said and Lashe nodded.“Uncle Sam, how far as this video gone on so
Ibukun had become popular overnight. Everyone greeted her at school, everyone wanted to talk to her and for someone who wasn’t used to such popularity before. She became flustered at a point.“I’m going to become a celebrity at this rate” Ibukun squealed and Fikayo snickered at her.“Celebrity my feet. People that blow like you, your popularity will die quickly” Fikayo said and Ibukun turned to her, her mouth open.“Are you cursing me?” Ibukun asked and Fikayo maintained her stoic face.“No, I’m not. I’m just stating facts” Fikayo replied and Blessing smacked Fikayo on her laps.“Babe, what’s your problem nah?” Fikayo asked displeased.“Ibukun, don’t mind Fikayo o. She’s just jealous, don’t mind her” Blessing said and Fikayo folded her hands and she chuckled.“Who is jealous of who? Why will I be jealous of just ordinary IG followers?” Fikayo asked and clapped her hands together making Ibukun and Blessing to burst into laughter.“I jus
Tolu turned to her saviour and got a better look at his features. He was chocolate complexion with brown eyes hidden behind his glasses. He had a rather straight nose and high cheekbones. He was attractive even with his glasses that gave him the vibe of a professor. He had a straight and lean body but Tolu knew he was strong. He was cloaked in black pants and a shirt tucked roughly in but yet extremely attractive. He slipped one of his hands into his pockets and Tolu’s eyes returned back to his face. He was handsome. So handsome that Tolu found out that she couldn’t peel her eyes off him. The guy raised an eyebrow at her that brought her back to her senses.Tolu awkwardly coughed inwardly cursing for her extremely light complexion that made her embarrassment so obvious. She threw her head sideways trying to regain and composure and didn’t see the small smile that crawled up the guy’s face. Tolu swallowed her saliva as she turned to him.“Thank you for that. How wil
Ibukun looked at her room as she ran her hands through her hair for the hundredth time. It was still early on Saturday morning but Ibukun’s always neat and tidy room was in a mess. Clothes were scattered on top of each other, some were on the floor, a lot more on the floor.Ibukun groaned as she threw her head backwards. Why couldn’t she just find the perfect cloth to wear? The door opened and Tosinmile stepped inside the room.“Christ Jesus, what happened in here?” Tosinmile asked and Ibukun turned to her with a pout.“I can’t find a cloth for my meeting with Lashe” Ibukun replied and Tosinmile burst into laughter.“You can’t find a cloth to wear from this huge wardrobe?” Tosinmile asked in horror and Ibukun rolled her eyes.“I am meeting with Lashe so I have to look my best. We might even take a selfie” Ibukun replied as a smile blossomed on her lips.“So you scattered and turned your room upside down. Nice one Ibukun. If mommy sees your room li
Ibukun didn’t know the magic Lashe worked on her, she felt extremely comfortable with him and talked more comfortably with him. It was more like they were old friends who met up to talk.“I’ll be honest with you. I was sincerely overwhelmed when I saw the interview you did” Lashe said and chuckled.“I felt like my music career did have a purpose when I watched you talk. Thank you. thank you so much” Lashe said and Ibukun nodded with a pout.“I just answered her questions. I did nothing more than that” Ibukun replied and Lashe chuckled.“I’m a person of few words that’s why I don’t know how to express myself but I am really, really, really grateful. Your interview helped me secure a contract I didn’t even think I was gonna get” Lashe said and Ibukun’s eyes sparkled.“Really?” Ibukun asked and Lashe nodded.“Yeah” Lashe replied with a smile.Ibukun already knew long ago that Lashe was not a person of many words. The way he spoke to his fans, h
Tolu yawned again as she glanced at the noisy hall. Just what did the student union want to say to them to gather all the 100 level students together. She hissed again making her roommate to glare at her.“What’s wrong with you?” she asked and Tolu sighed.“Why did these people gather us here nah? I feel like my eardrums are going to burst any moment from now from the noise” Tolu replied as her other friend nudged her in the elbow.“It’s probably something important” she said as silence suddenly overtook the hall. Tolu looked around and noticed that just a few more students had walked into the hall and they were members of the student union.“Why is everyone quiet?” Tolu asked and her two friends looked at her like she had grown tow heads.“Mary and Rebecca, don’t look at me like that” Tolu said and Rebecca scoffed.“I wonder if you really attend this school” Rebecca replied and Mary laughed.“Those guys that just entered at the main people
Ibukun turned over in her bed as she replied Lashe’s text. That had been her routine for the past one week. She rushed home and chatted with Lashe all night long. The first time they chatted into the night was the day they met. She had thanked him for the pictures and ended up talking more.None of them realized that it was already past one am until Lashe claimed that he wanted to check the 10’0 clock news and was flabbergasted to see that it was already past one am.Both of them had forced each other to sleep that day and that was how it started. The long calls, hours texting and video calling.Ibukun burst into laughter seeing the emoji Lashe sent in reply to her message. She had discovered that Lashe could talk as much as he wanted as long as he found the right partner and he was comfortable with them.Ibukun’s door opened and Tosinmile strode in to catch a silly smile on Ibukun’s face. She chuckled before kicking Ibukun who was about to make a voice note.
Tolu wanted to curse as she followed Demola into the restaurant. She adjusted her face cap to hide her face and kept her eyes down as they walked in but since it was Demola she had followed; she was bound to attract attention. She watched as people started greeting him while he offered them small smiles, handshakes and brief hugs. She soon noticed everyone staring at her and she pursed her lips as Demola led them to a table.“How does it feel to be the centre of attention when you are actually hiding?” Demola asked with a smile while Tolu glared at him from behind her sun glasses. She was about to say something when a girl walked towards them. she was clad in rather short skirt and a blouse that revealed too much than covering her body.“Hey Demola, what’s up?” she asked as Demola turned to her with a smile.“You are here?” Demola asked and the girl nodded.“You haven’t eaten here before. You don’t like eating outside, what are you doing here?” she aske
Fikayo swallowed her saliva as the body guards led them to a room. Ibukun instantly walked towards her friends and wore an apologetic smile.“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you guys” Ibukun said slowly as Lashe walked up to them.“Hello, you are Fikayo and you are Blessing right?” Lashe asked as Fikayo looked at him in surprise.“You know us?” Fikayo asked in shock and Lashe laughed.“Don’t you think it’s weird if I don’t know my girlfriend’s friends?” Lashe asked and Blessing chuckled.“It’s really hard to believe this” Blessing said and Ibukun smiled.“I’m sorry ehn. Have you forgiven me?” Ibukun asked as Fikayo sighed.“It all makes sense now. How you were unresponsive when your idol got a girlfriend. Your mood when his grandma was ill and died. It all makes sense now” Fikayo said as she turned to Lashe.“Welcome to the geng Lashe” Fikayo said as she punched his shoulder playfully while Blessing and Ibukun looked at her in surprise.
Ibukun felt her phone vibrate in her pockets and she quickly brought it out. She stood up and walked away from the girls as she picked the call.“Hello babe” Lashe’s voice drifted through the phone to Ibukun’s ears and Ibukun felt herself getting chilled as his all of a sudden sensual voice.“Hey” Ibukun said softly.“You reached already?” Lashe asked and Ibukun could hear him shuffling around and the background voices of the staff that took of him whenever he had concerts.“Yup. Already seated, Fikayo and Blessing is with me” Ibukun replied as she heard the makeup artist voice telling Lashe to adjust his head.“Okay. The concert will start soon” Lashe said and Ibukun nodded.“See you on the stage” Ibukun said with a short laugh.“Roger that milady. I love you” Lashe replied.“I love you too” Ibukun said as she hung up the phone and walked back to her seat and sat down.“Was that your boyfriend?” Blessing asked and Ibukun nodded
Ibukun adjusted her hold on her school bag handle as she walked alongside her two friends as Fikayo started talking.“I think Lashe has juju” Fikayo said and Ibukun turned to her as she burst into laughter.“Juju? Fikayo you are crazy” Ibukun said and Blessing burst into laughter.“Why?” Blessing asked.“How did he know that we were finishing his exam today and arranged his concert to be today?” Fikayo asked and Ibukun scoffed.“Didn’t you know that DUL finished their exams the day before yesterday? Girl you are seriously over thinking” Ibukun replied as Fikayo pursed her lips.“Fikayo said Lashe is using juju o” Blessing teased a she and Ibukun burst into laughter.“Better stop laughing if I give you your eulogy” Fikayo threatened as they entered the bus.“Give me let me hear you when it’s not as if I don’t I know your own” Blessing replied as she sat down.“Juju girl” Blessing said and Ibukun burst into laughter. Seeing her fie
Lashe walked out of the courthouse as the massive crowd started cheering and shouting. Lashe couldn’t hold back the smile spreading across his face. He looked towards the massive ground as with the help of his bodyguards he was able to climb a slightly higher place to talk to his fans.He waved at them with a smile and their yelling’s went a ton higher while Lashe laughed and smiled. They soon quietened down and Lashe looked around squinting his eyes.“I was looking around hoping that I would be able to remember every face that is here” Lashe said slowly and softly.“Thank you everyone. There is no way I can describe how I am feeling. Seeing you guys here makes me feel so sweet on the inside and trust me when I say this feeling is totally alien to me. I’ve never felt like this before. I want to say a big thank you to you guys, everyone here, everyone watching from home, everyone who can’t watch from home but still supported me, I can’t help but feel at home around

Lashe took a deep breath as he sat in front of his computer. It was his usual live meeting with his fans. He had skipped it for two months, so the fans were swarming on his Instagram page and immediately Lashe started the live video, the fans started commenting and Lashe wore a small smile.“Hello everyone” Lashe greeted as he waved his hands with a smile.“Yeah, I can see all your greetings. I hope you all are doing well” Lashe added as he read the comments.“I wanted to say thank you for everyone who came to bid my grandma goodbye. I felt all your love from afar. I’m glad you were all there to watch her lay to rest” Lashe said as he wore a small smile. Reading the fan comments as they told him not to be sad.“Now I have a problem but before I tell you my problem, you have to listen to this short story. “I just heard about on the internet and that was why I sped up my visa and all. I was coming home already so I just hurried it. I was still shocked when I landed. I was so shocked and had to hurry to pay my respects to her. I didn’t believe it” Uncle Deolu said as he dropped his head.“I visited her grave before I came though. There were lots of flowers there” he added and he turned to Lashe with a frown.“When did all these happen? How come you couldn’t contact me? I watched all your concerts and heard your songs while I was Canada. I tried to contact you but all to no avail. There were many times I sent messages to your fan mail but I received no reply. I figured out that you were doing fine” Uncle Deolu said and Lashe sighed.“I didn’t know how to. My manager manages my fan mail, he must have thought it was spam or something” Lashe replied and Uncle Deolu smiled and nodded.“I’m glad you are okay” Uncle Deolu said as he turned to Ibukun’s mom.
It wasn’t until later that Ibukun had discovered that the documents were the documents that clearly stated that Lashe’s parents owned the properties that all his Uncles had snatched. Apparently, they had made fake documents. Her mom took the matter up immediately and sued the uncles to court immediately. She got her whole legal team working on it and Ibukun knew her mom; forget about the fact that Lashe was her daughter’s boyfriend, she was his fan and injustices like that, she hated it. She was definitely going to win the case, that Ibukun was sure of.She sighed as she closed her Physics textbook. Her mock exams were starting the next week and she had barely started reading due to the stress that had plagued the previous weeks. There was a knock on her room door and Ibukun turned and the door opened to reveal Lashe. He was wearing black suit trousers and a top with jean jacket. He wore a small smile as he walked towards Ibukun who had shot up from her seat
“There are sleeping pills inside” Tosinmile said and I looked at her in surprise as she nodded as we both turned to Lashe.“He needs to rest” Tosinmile said as my eyes went soft. I placed Lashe’s head on my laps and adjusted him in a sleeping position. Slowly cradling him and patting him to sleep was what I did for about three days straight.I wasn’t surprised at the massive turnout at the burial. A lot of teenagers were there and they were all shocked to see their always smiling idol looking as if his soul had left him and which there were times I almost thought it did.Lashe was the only family member she had left and Ibukun’s parents took care of everything. Ibukun had a black hat covering her head a black nose mask covering her face as she walked towards the grave and collected the spade. She carried sand and poured it on the hole.Tolu squeezed her hands reassuringly and Ibukun nodded while she sighed softly. She gripped Lashe’s hands tight while the oth
