SEVENTY SEVEN

Mary tried to wake up as early as she could in order to join the morning prayers. She does not want her parents thinking that she had turned wayward.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes lightly and looked herself in the mirror, as usual she looked a mess with her hair scattered all over her face.

She gradually swept it backwards with her fingers and packed it into a clean ponytail.

By the time she got to the sitting room, her both parents were already awake and sitted.

"See who has come to join us" Mr Wilberforce announced excitedly on seeing his daughter.

"Good morning dad, good morning mom" she bent down to kiss each one of them on the chin.

Mr Wilberforce said the prayers today, and it was relatively a long one like always. As a kid Mary always hated when her dad would lead the prayers because it always took lots and lots of time, it was as if he was praying for the whole country.
