Briana POV

As I looked at the grinning faces of the people dear to me, I could not help but feel so much joy in my heart.

“Thank you everyone!” Noah got the microphone, and he was talking to our guests.

There were too many.

I could see our family – the triplets, my brothers, and Jenna, my sister-in-law.

I also saw familiar faces in the crowd, like my best friend Hanna, and Noah’s friend, Brent.  Then, there was Langley, Chris, Belle, Ed, and so many more.

While Noah talked, the large LCD monitor that serves as our backdrop plays a video of us – a compilation of our photos since we were younger, our first marriage, up to this moment.  Whoever made the video collage did not fail to include my brothers and the triplets, too.

While I took in everything around me, Noah regaled the gue

Noah POVThe sound of the alarm woke me up.“What time is it?” Briana asked with eyes still closed.“It’s still early, sweetheart.”The bed dipped under my weight when I hovered over her, and she immediately put out her arms to embrace me.I kissed her.She sniffed and squinted her eyes at me when I pulled back.“Where are you going?” She asked and sat on the bed.The duvet fell to her lap, exposing her creamy, sexy clavicle in a spaghetti-strapped satin nightgown. She looked tempting, so I looked away.“I have to go meet my lawyer. The court hearing for defamation charges against Britney is set for today. I need to come in prepared."Briana grimaced. We spent a three-day honeymoon on the island of Crete right after the wedding. On the fourth day, Briana requested that the children join us.We rented a chartered flight for the triplets, their nannies and bodyguards. The triplets enjoyed the two-day vacation. We even had to call their school to request a two-day leave.Last night, we

Noah POVAfter breakfast, I kissed Briana goodbye. “Kiss the triplets for me. I will be home early to fetch them from school.” I informed Briana and was off. While driving, Chris called. “Yes. Is the lawyer waiting already?” I asked when I answered his call. Chris never calls me if it’s not urgent. There was a pause. “Sorry, sir, but Ms. White is outside the building. She was demanding to see you.” The news did not sit well with me. “What is wrong with the security? Can’t they handle her?” I asked, pissed off. “Sir, reporters were covering the commotion.” I clenched my fist and almost threw the mobile phone in anger. Britney is really testing my patience. “She’s sick. Tell the security to call the police. She is disturbing the peace.” I grunted and ended the call.“Benny,” I called my driver. “Drive fast.” My driver nodded when our eyes met in the rearview mirror. Then, the car shifted gears and accelerated. When I arrived at the hotel, the police had not arrived yet

Noah POV“But that does not exonerate Briana.” Britney charged when she recovered and regained her composure.“She was just like me. She’s a liar and a cheater. She cheated on you, remember?” I walked toward Britney and towered over her. My eyes traveled her whole length disdainfully. “Didn’t you hear me earlier? Uncle Matt concocted lies about her. He used my amnesia to manipulate me into believing my wife cheated on me. He’s now serving time in jail. Do you want to join him?”Britney’s eyes widened in shock. She backed away from me with disbelieving eyes. “You are a b*stard!” she cried. I crossed my arms over my chest. “And what should l call you? B*tch?” Without missing a beat, Britney shoved the hands that held her. Then, she rushed toward me. Her hand flew to my face and slapped me hard when it connected to my skin. I did not expect her attack, and I almost lost balance because she put all her weight on that one blow. My bodyguards looked stricken when they saw the

Noah POVHer pronouncements put a smile on my face. If this is the payback for Britney’s slap. Then, I am all in. “And why are you smiling?” Briana said irritably upon noticing my facial expression. The smile widened into a grin, but I clamped it with my lips. It had been too late to backtrack now. I shook my head and opened my mouth to speak. “Nothing, sweetheart. I am just happy.Briana snorted. “You are one weird guy.” She told me.I had to agree with her on that. Anyone in my shoes would have acted differently, but Briana’s concern and the way she showed it was enough to put a smile on my face. “I have the weirdest woman, too.” I agreed. She harrumphed and ended the call on me. I looked at the black screen of my phone and shook my head. The trip back to the office was uneventful. When we reached the hotel, I found out some reporters were still milling around, but it was generally peaceful. When they saw me, they ran toward me for an ambush interview, but I declined to

Noah POVThat afternoon, I came face to face with Britney again. This time, she was so livid. She did not care about her image. Gone was the perfect woman who graced the runway. Her hair is a mess, and her make-up is a mess, too. There were no cameras around since I requested a private hearing.Britney grabbed at the opportunity to lash out at me.“You are suing me for ten million dollars in damages for oral defamation?” Britney cried in disbelief when she heard the charges my team submitted in court. Her eyes looked like they were going out of their sockets in rage. She was fuming mad. Her face was contorted in anger as she eyed me in contempt.“Ms. White, compensatory damages comprising general damages, special damages, and aggravated damages are filed against you by the plaintiff, Mr. Noah Hunter, which includes injury to reputation, injury to feelings, injury to health, and pecuniary loss.” The judge explained. But Britney did not take it well. Beth POVI saw Brent’s nostrils flared as desire as potent as mine, filling his eyes. “I want you.” He admitted when he gathered me close to burrow his face into the crook of my neck. His words made me tremble in his arms. Tingles traveled my spine, and I had to grab Brent to press my arms around his massive back. “Dude, we still have a whole program for you. Don’t ravish your wife in front of us.” Rowan teased. “Says the man who did not ravish his wife in the hospital bed.” Flint inserted suavely, eliciting another round of laughter from all of us. Brent lifted his gaze toward Briana, who seemed to understand what he was going through. In response, Briana clapped her hand to call everyone’s attention. “Everyone, as much as the newlywed couple wanted to spend more time with us, they all wanted to have their privacy to savor this moment.”“Don’t try to be diplomatic, sis. Just say that Brent wanted to have his honeymoon right now.” Flint butted in, much to my consternation. I

Brent POVUnlike our first wedding, which was done in less than five minutes at the mayor’s office, I prepared an elaborate impromptu wedding for Beth. When I enlisted my friends’ help, I was not confident they could pull this through, but now, I can safely say that nothing is impossible for the Fords and Hunters. It was tough, but they made it happen. Another thing that raised my concern was Beth’s refusal. I can’t let my friends’ efforts go to waste, but I also prepared myself for the worst. If Beth is not ready, I wouldn't force her. She has to agree to marry me out of her own volition. And I thank God that she did not make any fuss. We only needed to clear the air between us, talk heart-to-heart, and let go of the pain from our past. “Ready?” The coordinator gestured for my best men to start the processional.I chose Flint and Noah because they were my best friends. Then, I walked toward the makeshift altar at the end of the room, where I stopped to wait for Beth. Noah

Beth POVBrent guided me to the private elevator and pressed a button. When the door opened, I was surprised by the view that greeted us. The whole place sparkled with fairy lights, with the night sky as an overhead backdrop. It was breathtaking. “Oh my! This looks spectacular, Brent.” I said, seeking the warmth of his hand while my eyes took in everything around us. Brent joined our fingers together and placed them on his lips to kiss. “Thanks to my friends. They did all the work. When they learned that I would be proposing today, they immediately worked to make a dreamy venue for us.” I made a mental note to thank each of Brent’s friends for their support. My eyes scanned the whole place. Flowers littered the floor, giving off a romantic vibe to the place. I took a whiff. The place even smelled divine, like I was in a magical place. Everything looks perfect. I looked at myself and felt like royalty. Brent did not help as he kept gazing at me like I was the most beautiful

Beth POV “Oh my!” I said dazedly. Brent stopped to scrutinize my face. “You are not going to change your mind, are you?” He asked, looking nervous.“You see, it would be a shame to cancel everything.” He added. It was like he was trying to convince me not to change my mind about marrying him. I laughed and shook my head. “Of course not. I told you I was going to marry you. Whether it’s now or on a later day does not matter.” I assured him and saw the expression on his face. He expelled the breath that he was holding and hugged me tight. “Thank you, sweetie. You know that money is not a problem, but I can’t let a day pass that you are not bound to me. I want to tie our lives forever and never separate.” He admitted. I understand what he meant. I do.Though Brent’s decision took me by surprise, I don’t have any objections to it. I wanted to be married to him right away, too. After all we had been through, I realized we already wasted so much time with our pride. We don’t

Beth POVWe both became silent. The tears were all spent, and Brent sat me on his lap while he wrapped his arm around my waist. Fortunately, Krizzie and her friends had not shown up yet to break the exclusivity of our surroundings. “I love you, Beth.” Brent kept saying in my ears while he showered my nape and shoulder blades with butterfly kisses. I gripped his hand that met on my waist and slowly turned myself around. “I love you.” This time, the words sounded so sure, without any reservations. And it felt liberating - to tell him my feelings without fear restricting me.Brent smiled. “Enough to marry me?” His body tensed while he waited for my reply. His body’s reaction gave me the sense of urgency to put him out of his misery. I kissed him, just a smack before I nodded my head. I smiled at his stunned look. I did not know whether it was from the shock of what I had done or from my answer to his question.“I am going to marry you, Brent,” I told him, smiling widely at the

Brent POVI realized Beth and I needed to cry for our lost love to be able to move forward and continue with our story. So we both cried to vent out the pain. Our cries subsided, and we both felt spent. I pulled back to wipe Beth’s tears before wiping mine. I swallowed when I saw her pink cheeks and nose. “The night I left you.” I started. Beth looked intently at me. “After I told you about being pregnant with Krizzie.” She interjected, and I swallowed in remembrance. “I told you I was on a mission and had an accident. I was in a hospital for a while.” I grabbed Beth’s hand to press it over my chest so she could feel the beat of my heart. We talked about what happened to me right after walking out of her that night, but not the full details. I never told her all the hardships I endured to survive that fatal shot. “I thought I was going to die and would never see you again. When I woke up from my surgery, the first thing I did was to make myself better, submitting to coun

Beth POV“We did not have anything when we were younger, Beth,” Brent said ruefully. His words reminded me of how we scraped for money after we married young. “I wasn’t able to give you anything.”Brent continued to explain, and I could feel his deep sadness over it. It was like he regretted that we did not have much, and he could not afford to give me anything beyond the basic necessities. But I clearly remembered that those were the happy times of our lives. I never asked for anything Brent could not provide. “When I already amassed wealth, we were divorced and you have too much pride to receive anything from me.”“Because that is the right thing to do. We don’t have anything connecting us except Krizzie. I was no longer your wife to warrant accepting your generosity. But I never denied you the opportunity to give Krizzie whatever your heart desires, even if you did not want her in the first place.” I saw him wince and was eager to take back the words, but I already said them
