Chapter 105

Alexander’s Pov

I got back into the room after returning from the conference quarters where I had to sign off some papers to indicate a closure on my part. Back in the room, I met the absence of Amelia and the presence of One who was sitting and gazing at the ground as though something was wrong.

“Is everything okay? Where is Eleven?” I asked One who took in a deep breath and turned towards my direction.

“It seemed as if she got a call from someone. But she left even before I could say a word”, she explained while I drifted off in thoughts.

There was absolutely no one around who Amelia knew and there was no way anyone would call for her attention.

“Who called for her?” I asked One who wore a confused look that suggested that she had no answer to the question.

I dashed out of the room while she trailed behind me, clearly wondering why I appeared to be so concerned for Amelia.
