Indeed, it was nice angering your superior every once in awhile. It gave more excitement to the relationship. Aric smiled in triumph at the great result of his attempt. Althea, who was planning of ways to murder Aric kept staring ahead, pretending not to notice his joyous expression. It took everything in her for her not to pounce on him with everything she's got. She was thankful he was not the little boy as the current situation would have been another story. Seeing the group ahead smile, Althea was happy but then, remembering the fact that the little boy was almost gone before he could get to see 'her', she fumed in anger and her expression turned scary."Where is that witch?" She hissed out, turning to face Aric who immediately stood straight, scared out of his wits. He believed Althea was annoyed at him but then, he saw her questioning gaze and was confused but still scared."Umm, did you say something?" Aric asked sheepishly while Altair and Aaryan pretended like they couldn't
With her body shaking,Helen almost glued her back to the wall the more Althea neared her. If there wasn't a barrier, Helen would have been one with the wall."Do you think you can escape retribution forever? Do you think you can run away from me?" Althea's voice was nowhere like that of a baby's. It sounded firmer and stronger, sending shivers down Helen's spine. Tears almost fell down her eyes due to fear. She bit her lips and stared straight into Althea's eyes, trying so hard not to burst into tears as she didn't want the latter to see her in a weak state. Not that it meant anything but Helen would very much love to keep her pride.
The more Helen moved backwards, the more Althea's expression became frightening. No longer able to move backwards, Helen held her breath as she awaited what was to come."Just know that there's no way in hell you'd be able to run away from me."This time, Althea switched to using her baby like voice, making her seem innocent but Helen wasn't going to be fooled for the second time. Finally, Althea was now standing right in Helen's face while the latter's breath was still being held. There was fear in her eyes no matter how hard she tried covering it up.
Just when Helen thought it was over for her, that there was no where she could run to, Althea suddenly stopped moving towards her and stared intently into her eyes. Helen was unable to understand what she was doing or what she was trying to do but she found it hard breaking the stare. It felt like there were magnets in Althea's eyes that were drawing her in and making her seem like she was out of sorts and drunk. Her fists were now clenched by her sides while the atmosphere grew more eerie. It was as quiet as it could be and just when Helen thought she was done for, the unexpected happened. The room suddenly went dark as wisps of smoke covered the room, making it seem like a forbidden place. Helen's mouth dropped open as she was now lost. Thankfully, she was able to make use of her other eye, enabling her to see what was currently happening. Just as she began using it, she saw the figure of a person cloaked in black, standing right on front of her, giving her a shock and as if that w
Meanwhile, in an unknown forest, deep in the forest was a small hut that looked too far to be true. It's almost-collapsed sticks and fallen dried palm leaves was enough to make anyone have second thoughts about living in it, not to talk of spending a night there. Unlike the ones seen in movies, there was something different about this particular hut. Even though it looked like it was about to fall, it seemed like there was something holding it up but nothing in sight could be seen which was doing so to it. Surrounding the hut was a black sphere like barrier, separating it from the forest itself. There was something eerie about the hut that made even animals stay far away from it. Right in the hut, laying on a rock bed was a female whose face was covered with a black veil. The figure of the lady looked all too familiar and surrounding the bed were women in black whose face could now be seen under the ray of light oozing into the hut. Amongst them was Helen mother whose pair of pu
Back in the hospital:Hope?Alasdair had never known the meaning of hope until now. It was still like a dream to him, seeing her standing right in front of him on her feet. Now, they were currently in another ward, both Joanna and her newly born baby treated with utmost care as per orders of Alasdair who wasn't letting them both out of his sight. Unlike before when he heard the news of Joanna's death and was unable to concentrate on her baby, now, the more Alasdair stared at the little boy, the more he was getting attached to him.The little boy's tiny hand was tightly wrapped around one of Alasdair's fingers as he gazed up at him from his mother's embrace, giggling happily. He now had more color to his face since he was just breastfed few minutes ago. The warmth the little boy's touch brought to Alasdair was enough to melt his heart. After staring at the little boy for some time, he stared at Joanna who had been staring at him all along.Of course, just by looking into her eyes,
The feeling of having your happiness taken away from you in the blink of an eye was more than heartbreaking. It'd feel like one's soul had been sucked away with an air pipe. There was tension in the air as they all remained still in their seats. No one said a word and as though, the newly born baby understood the situation of what was happening, he also remaining still, only staring around once in a while. After some time, the thick air of tension was finally broken."Where is he? How many of them are here?" Alasdair asked, his voice cold and void of any emotion."Alpha, he has been stopped by a few of our pack's guards from barging into your office. "Hm, how is that possible? He ought to know I'm not in. Only if....," Alasdair didn't complete his statement and hastily walked out of the ward, harshly slamming the door shut on his way. Ever since Joanna heard that he was here, she had hugged her baby tighter to her body as she stared around in fear. She no longer looked like she knew
Alasdair pressed him lips into a firm line and the only thought in his head was 'there is no way in hell I'll let him find out about her!'Not wanting to look suspicious or show any form of weakness, Alasdair immediately put on a blank look."Say that to Micah when you see him. Not me," He grunted, leisurely leaning on the door to his office."Isn't the addition of a member to your pack worth a 'congratulations' to you?" Sebastian asked, finally showing a mocking expression while he raised an eyebrow. If Alasdair wasn't trying so hard to be a gentleman, he'd have erupted in anger.
Rising, Joanna realized she was still in the same position she was in before the dizziness took over. She didn't need to be told that was happening to her was no ordinary thing."Mother this isn't normal....," Joanna whispered to her mother while the latter nodded her head in understanding. " I know sweetheart and I believe the only person with such immense power, able to do this to you is none other than Celine, she who you've been in contact with" Stella explained to Joanna who now had an incredulous look on her face."Waaaa....," Alan's loud cry of pain was enough to snap Joanna out of her thoughts. Balling her fists by her side, she slowly removed herself away from. the group, moving slowly towards the witches."What did you do to me and my son?" She hissed, glaring straight at Celine. "Hm, you know what annoys me the most about you? You act like the superior one, walking like everyone is below you. I hate you," Celine seemed to have lost control as she raised a knife in the air,
"Who's next?" Swinging his sword on his shoulder, Elias smiled. Immediately, the young witches stepped backwards in fear, too scared to put to practice the spell they had been taught. "Cowards!" Helen's mother yelled as she came to stand in front of them. "Give up Joanna and we would let her baby go!" She yelled loudly, staring at Elias straight in the eye. Her thoughts were unknown but just as they all thought, Alan was being used as a bargaining chip."How do you expect us to give her up when her son is nowhere in sight?" Mark hissed, glaring at the witches who looked like a colony of ants. Unhappy with what was said by Mark, Helen's mother glared at him but the young Beta didn't flinch. He couldn't be bothered with the nuisance of a witch and was more bothered about Joanna and his mate. He couldn't see Helen too which further made him on edge but he couldn't show it for fear of alerting the enemies. Slowly, Celine walked out from behind the forest, standing right behind the c
This left Aric with one choice which was to kill every witch he came across as fast as he could.Soon enough, he went unto action.Elias and Stella both noticed Altair who was planning on killing another guard and immediately went to stop him. They both directed the guards to kill the other witches while they fought with Altair who seemed displeased by their actions."Why is no one taking my side?" Altair screamed blindly as he fought with them . He was seconds away from changing to his wolf form and they could see it. "... because you're doing the wrong thing. No one is going to take your side," Stella yelled as she dodged his incoming blow. Her words seemed to further anger Altair as he charged towards her once more, leaving Elias out of it. Midway,he changed into his wolf form while Stella transformed to the creature that once haunted Joanna. Everyone on the battlefield could see Stella change and the moment she did, the witches who were starting to have the upper hand all star
Before the coven of witches arrived, the Red moon pack members all arrived safely, with none of the members missing. They were all ushered into Alasdair's home which already contained the Blue moon pack members. "Joanna, you need to stay in. I promise, we would rescue your son and bring him back to you," Sebastian spoke, finally braving up to speak to her."No, stay out of my way. This is my fight," Joanna hissed while he immediately retreated."No, this is our fight!" Mark yelled as he threw his fist into the air."Fine, just be safe," Sebastian gave up stopping her while Joanna ignored his words.Mark was carried outside, behind the flowers where his body was hidden. This was a big risk they had all taken to ensure he'd get back to normal as soon as they spotted Helen, the one who put him in this condition.Althea who had also been locked in Alasdair's house during the previous battle was allowed to join the fight. No one dared to stop her since they all knew her main aim. Alasda
Upon waking up, Joanna realized she had fallen asleep right in the living room just as Elias had spoken."What was that? Please don't tell me you fell asleep while he was talking?" Aric groaned, trying to restrain his laughter but it was fruitless."Hm, de.. definitely not. I just had something to think of. For how long was I out?" Joanna awkwardly questioned, hoping to change the topic as soon as possible. "Sure, no one here is a fool. We were all able to tell you fell asleep for what...? Slept for a total of 15 minutes. I mean, who does that?" Aric continued to sass when Joanna had to keep her mouth shut despite ber shock. She couldn't help but wonder how she was able to have that type of dream in this situation making her seem like she was deranged and had no conscience. If anyone amongst them knew of the dream she just had, Joanna was sure she was going to be eaten by them. She peeked a glance at her mother, hoping to catch the slightest bit of reaction from her to see if she ha
Joanna's POV;I didn't need to be told that I was yet again dreaming in the midst of war. Moreover, why do my dreams always have to be wet dreams I knew would never be fulfilled. Was Sebastian sweet? Definitely not. Was Elias sweet? I really didn't know. Was Alasdair sweet? Yes, but then, why was it that my dream wasn't about him? Everytime I closed my eyes to sleep, I was always ending up in Dreamland. Have I been cursed? I didn't know but then, I recalled something and I hoped at this point, whatever it was that was going to happen in my dreams, my mother shouldn't be watching. Now that she had made herself known beside me, she didn't need to keep watching me in my dreams. After several failed attempts of trying to wake myself and leave Dreamland, I gave up on this idea and rather focused on the situation at hand. How did I even fall asleep in the first place? I couldn't understand this as my thoughts were all jammed up. A touch on my bare shoulder was enough to send me to an ent
At this, Joanna didn't know if she really knew him or he had been pretending. Either ways, now she was starting to doubt her judgment on people."Don't be surprised. He has always been like this," Stella hit Joanna's arm lightly and smiled at her."How did you....Hold up, did you know him before now?" Joanna questioned tentatively."Silly girl, how did you think he was able to accept you unto his home without any hassle? Although he is kind but Elias never trusts anyone to that extent," Stella laughed while Joanna seemed more shocked." Are you trying to tell me that you asked him to take me in?" "Of course," Stella laughed, pulling Joanna to sit."Since when did that happen?" "Unfortunately, your mother wouldn't have the time to narrate the story to you because they are near.." Elias interrupted as he took out his shiny two swords and stared at them.
**18+, killing scene, read at your risk"Things happened after your disappearance," Althea spoke and smiled at Joanna but the latter could see the worry in the little girl's eyes.Joanna didn't need to know what was making her worried and once again, she was overwhelmed with fear; the fear of where her child was."Don't worry, your son will is fine," Her mother coaxed, rubbing her arms lightly.Upon hearing the confidence in her voice, Joanna was surprised as to why."How are you so sure he's fine?" She couldn't help but ask."I'm sure because they can't do anything to hurt him. Don't you know your son has more powers than you? Thereby, making him stronger," Stella laughed while Joanna couldn't help but gulp her saliva. She had already had an inkling as to the fact that Alan had the same powers as her but she didn't realize he had more of it than she did."Aside that, he's just a little boy. What self defense does he know?" Aric asked as he stared at Althea from the corner of his eyes.
"He was taken away by a disguised witch that came for revenge.""What! A disguised witch? What is going on? What do you mean?" Alasdair asked in a hurry as he ran his fingers through his hair. It was at this moment Joanna was a le to see the fatigue in his eyes and now, she felt like she had come back to square one, like the powerless little girl she once was. "Before we continue this conversation,we need to get him inside. It's a long story...," Elias spoke, pointing at Micah who had stopped moving and his eyes were tightly shut. Immediately, they all made their way into Alasdair's house, as they shut the door tightly.Altair was smart enough to protect the house with a spell that didn't allow outsiders to hear what was going on. Indeed, the blue moon pack where everyone treated each other like families had become a pack where they all had to be careful of whom to trust."Now, can someone tell me what the hell is going on here? I'm really so confused," Mark cursed out, slapping hi
