"Where are your clothes?"

Although Alasdair knew this conversation was going to take him nowhere, he couldn't help but ask. Micah who Alasdair knew to be the happy go lucky guy only casted him a fleeting glance before he made his way to the kitchen, as usual. Alasdair believed that by now, he'd have gotten used to Micah's new ways but no, they only fueled his anger day by day.

Alasdair was about giving Micah a piece of his mind when two bulky and sweaty men suddenly burst into the living room, panting and gasping for air.

Alasdair frowned as he stared at the two men. They were part of the warriors who were supposed to be on guard today. He had no idea what they were doing in his home, by this time of the day when they were only supposed to be making sure the pack was safe from harm.

"Al…pha," One whose skin was tanned than the other called out through shaky breaths while trying to stand straight. Alasdair quirked an eyebrow at him.

Alasdair's wolf rolled its eyes, basking in the scent that oozed off the petite lady. Alasdair stared intently at the behind of the woman, staring at her features like he wanted to embed them into his memory. His warriors who were trying to stop her from going rampage had long noticed his presence and remained still immediately. Alasdair didn't know if she was aware of his presence or was pretending not to. His question was answered when he saw her go still like she was in shock. Ever so slowly, she moved and turned her body after catching a whiff of his musky scent. Their eyes both clashed, sparks flew, everything around them faded. They only saw each other, the words of the warriors whom were trying to explain the situation fell on deaf ears. The two people both stared intently into each others eyes, scared to speak a word, believing it would disrupt the current connection they were having. The first person to break the eye contact was Alasdair who suddenly felt uncomfortable. He

Along the way back to his mansion, Alasdair and the brown haired lady behind him were both quiet. It felt like they weren't the ones who had just bantered back and forth few minutes ago. They appeared different from the people who were seconds away from each other's throat. As Alasdair walked forward like someone was hot on his heels, his mate, who had short legs couldn't help but grumble as she ran behind him."Slow down. My legs are aching," She cried out to him and Alasdair only snorted in disappointment before increasing his pace. "If your legs weren't so short, you wouldn't have asked me to slow down," He hissed in discontentment."If only you knew where I was coming from before I got here, you wouldn't be spewing such bullshit," She screamed in anger. Even without turning back, Alasdair could see the invisible smoke coming out of her nose and ears.He suddenly paused in his steps as an unknown anger overwhelmed him. How dare she say he was spewing bullshit? No one had ever da

Alasdair suddenly bent his head, gazing at her lips intently. She brought out her tongue and wet her lip, making Alasdair lose his rationality as he sealed their lips together.Their breaths mingled as they exchanged saliva, breathing heavily on each other's faces. It seemed like they had been dying for this all along because they were both clinging unto each other like they were afraid of losing one another.Pulling her closer to him even while he laid atop her, Alasdair deepened the kiss, making sure he was almost sucking the air out of her. As soon as she released a small moan, it was like Alasdair suddenly snapped back to reality. He placed his hands on the floor, beside her body and pushed himself up. His mate, who was just catching her breath had a small smile on her face as she stretched out her hand towards him to help her up.Alasdair gave her a once over with a different emotions on his face. The trio soon arrived at Alasdair's mansion. Helen's reaction was normal upon seeing such building and Joanna deduced that she was either from a wealthy home or was used to seeing big buildings like Alasdair's. Meanwhile, Alasdair who was quietly trotting behind the two women was like an offender. If anyone were to see him now, they'd think he was a man who had managed to anger his pregnant wife. He was somehow finding ways to speak to Joanna without allowing Helen to suspect her.Only if he knew that Joanna who looked like she was friendly with Helen was only using this to escape from Alasdair because she knew his intentions. The thought of being the third party or destroyer of a relationship made her unhappy. She knew the feeling of being ignored by one's mate and taking another as one's mate and she wasn't so heartless to allow another woman pass through it. Though, there was this stinging pain in her chest that kept reminding her of reality. "Come in. I believe the others would

Joanna's POV;I knew little about the annual celebration but that wasn't the main point of my current heartbreak. Hearing that Alasdair's pack would be hosting the event was like a whole load of tipper had overturned on me. I was trying so hard not to show how I was feeling because I didn't want Alasdair to be suspicious of me. Moreover, I had been pretending not to remember a thing, then how was i supposed to tell him I didn't wish to attend the celebration. Hell no! I had no choice. The thought of him finding his mate made my decision have a more solid point. Though I felt bad, I wasn't going to take the happiness of a lady like me which someone took from me because I definitely knew how it felt. It wasn't a sweet feeling I'd like a female like me to ever experience. Though, i formerly had no idea about the status of what I and Alasdair's relationship was, now I was sure of it. He is my savior and I was the one who was rescued.I opened my mouth and closed it, trying to form words b

It was finally the day. The hustling and bustling in the pack could make anyone who hated noise scream in anger. Alasdair was happy about this because it seemed like his pack had been brought to life once again. He thought it'd be hard getting his pack members to being cheerful again but it seemed like he had just gotten the right dose of drug to give them.He was currently supervising and checking on the important things needed for the celebration with his hands behind his back. Little pups ran around him, cheering and laughing while a little girl bravely held a flower out to him with her head slightly bowed. Alasdair was unable to resist such cuteness making him squat while he placed his palm on the little girl's head and rubbed it affectionately before he took hold of the flower."Thank you, princess," he thanked her, sniffing the flower a little.Immediately, the little girl's face went red and out of embarrassment, she speedily ran away from him. Out of embarrassment, Melissa ran away from the crowd. The crowd who were gathered shook their heads at her retreating figure before dispersing. Thankfully, Joanna bared no brunt in their tiny murmurs while Micah was hopping mad at Melissa's bravery. He knew the young lady was up to no good the moment she called for Joanna."...and I thought she was sincere about this weeks ago. Looks like I was wrong once again," Alasdair's voice suddenly rang out from behind the trio. One could see the twinkle in Helen's eyes as soon as she heard his voice. Joanna noticed this and bit her lips. This was the kind of love life she had dreamt of having but life had chosen to play a cruel game on her. If it wasn't because of the baby she was carrying, Joanna knew she'd have become a shell of herself. It seemed like fate was not so cruel as she thought. "So, she did ask of Joanna. Very funny," Micah cursed at her in his mind while thinking of her shameless acts. Had she done that to gain mercy from Al

Just as they were contemplating whether to call him or not, a sickly voice rang out."What is happening here?" Alasdair and Sebastian didn't stop their intense eye contact even when they heard his voice. They still both stood in a fierce stance, none of them willing to back down. Soon, the one who spoke came into view, his walking stick being his third leg and his head full of grey hair. His face was smooth and at the same time slightly wrinkly but that didn't stop one from seeing how beautiful his orbs were. They were a pair of golden orbs that glinted even as he stood in place. A brown woolen shawl was wrapped around his neck to prevent him from the cold while he was clad in thick clothes.Everything about the old man screamed 'Odd' but that was the main reason he was respected. He was a special kind of the werewolf lineage whose fur were so little that the cold could easily get to them."You really like getting into fights, don't you? Both of you?" He yelled out the last part. E

"Who's next?" Swinging his sword on his shoulder, Elias smiled. Immediately, the young witches stepped backwards in fear, too scared to put to practice the spell they had been taught. "Cowards!" Now that she had made herself known beside me, she didn't need to keep watching me in my dreams. After several failed attempts of trying to wake myself and leave Dreamland, I gave up on this idea and rather focused on the situation at hand. Joanna questioned tentatively."Silly girl, how did you think he was able to accept you unto his home without any hassle? Although he is kind but Elias never trusts anyone to that extent," Stella laughed while Joanna seemed more shocked." Are you trying to tell me that you asked him to take me in?" "Of course," Stella laughed, pulling Joanna to sit."Since when did that happen?" "Unfortunately, your mother wouldn't have the time to narrate the story to you because they are near.."
