Ara’s POV

The sunset lighted the room, waking me up from my dry sleep. My body ached from the torture I went through last night.

The sheet that was handed over to me felt warm. I didn’t want to wake up but a sudden footsteps made my body tremble.

I shut my eyes. Pretending to be asleep. The footsteps got closer and closer.

“Hey up red-haired beta!” he yelled.

I woke up abruptly with the sheet still covering me up.

Short and curly-haired man, who could be mistaken for a girl at any moment. I wondered how such a pretty man found himself here.

“Stop looking at me with those pitiful eyes. You should be more concerned about yourself,” his voice soft and yet unfriendly.

“Huh!”

“Get dressed and join the others” he threw some clothes on me.

“Others?” I muttered to myself. “Wait, please” I pleaded. He paused and turned.

“What do you want?”

“I-I just want to know where I am, and your name?”

“Where you are? Don’t you recognize the symbols?” he pointed at the drawings on the walls.

My heart skipped a beat. Terrified by my own thoughts.

“As for my name, you can call me Rose,” he said.

“Huh!”

“Hahahaha, your face is hilarious. I am a male omega, pretty and I believe that name fits me best”

I could only sigh within. Still gasping about what was going on.

“Get dressed and join the others, and stop asking stupid questions before you lose your tongue,” he said with little annoyance.

I had to do what I was told to do. It was either I work my way out to survive or be used as a sex slave. I couldn’t fall short.

I got dressed. The clothes were too revealing. It was obvious they made it to prostitute omegas and betas.

It’s strange. I still couldn’t remember how I got here. The moment I left the hut I was greeted with a foul smell and people.

They all turned their attention towards me. Giving me a suspicious look. I wondered what they were looking at. Was it me or the clothes?

“She is the red-haired iron leader,”

“I can’t believe it. She lost”

“Of course. The night sparrow pack had a hand in it”

“What! I Heard if You catch the eye of their leader, you won’t live to see the sunrise,”

“But I heard he is as handsome as a prince and strong as a lion. I heard if You catch a glimpse at his handsomeness you won’t be able to stop your heart from beating”

“Stop your fluttering, he is a monster and everyone knows it”

“What is his name again..”

“Wait I remember, Sebastian Knight”

I could hear their murmurings and whispers. Most of them were all lies.

I stood confused and unaware of what was going to happen next.

Surprisingly, the man called Rose was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly two giants stood behind me. I could feel their gaze on my neck. I turned, almost slipping.

I was saved by a warm hand, that wrapped it hand around my waist. I didn’t dislike it.

“Are you alright?”

I turned around to see whose arms were around me. I couldn’t believe my eyes.

He had the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. His beautiful white hair complemented his physique.

He was indeed the most handsome man I had laid eyes on. His warm and firm arms were big enough to cover my waist.

His pheromones were comforting. Oh no, I couldn’t stay close to him for long. I pulled away quickly.

“S-sorry”

“Don’t scare the pretty lady Faustus, Faise,” his husky voice echoed.

The giants suddenly bowed to him. He was tall and husky. Decorated with a few scars.

I was so caught up with him, that I didn’t notice my surroundings. We were no longer a few people but enough to fill the slave house.

“What is happening?” I asked myself out loud.

“H-he came himself. T-the night sparrow leader, Sebastian Knight”

“Huh!”

“What are You waiting for, pack them up and get them ready for the exhibition!” Brago out of nowhere commanded his men.

Though the sun was up. The sky suddenly turned black. The trees moved their branches by the command of the wind.

I have heard of this place. The view finally came to mind.

It was the ‘Apex hunt’ it was named the Apex hunt because of an ancient tale.

Where the big and famous packs bid for slaves to work for them. Either as sex slaves or manpower.

I was about to be sold. My body trembled.

“Move!” A man in silver armor yelled. We were being dragged along as chains were later hanged on our legs and hands.

We stood in the middle of the arena. It was time for the showcase. Many were seated.

The sandy ground felt like rotten dead bodies.

I could hardly breathe. The sun sets in again. Could this day ever get better?

The doors were finally opened. We were dragged off like animals.

“Move red-haired” one of the armored men pulled my chains and grabbed my butt.

“Hey, watch it,” I said with a glare. He licked his dirty lips after scanning my body with his dirty eyes.

“It’s such a shame you're being sold. I would have enjoyed you for a day or two” he said with a dirty grin.

We were finally out of the dark hole. The sun is so bright. I cover my eyes to evade the rays.

The voices of the audience echoed throughout the arena. I didn’t think people still attended this kind of disgusting show.

Speaks in an ancient language:

“Hasa! Welcome every one of you to the Apex Hunt. And the auction begins”

I started to get scared. I moved a little backward. “I don't want to be sold. I don't want to be sold” a young lady with her fingers crossed and closed eyes muttered to herself.

“We start with the blond-haired,” the announcer said earning applause and shouts from the audience.

Suddenly we heard drums and noises behind us.

“W-which blonde are they talking about?”

“Me”

“Huh!”

“I don’t want to be sold. No, brother! l she yelled and attempted to run.

Before she could make a move, a long chain was thrown which captured her neck and dragged her onto the sandy ground.

She struggled to free herself. No matter how hard she tried the chain kept pulling her.

“It seems someone wants to escape” The announcer draws everyone’s attention to the blond-haired trying to escape.

“What do we do with such disobedience, hmmm we tear them into pieces!” the announcer yelled with an evil laugh.

Her clothes were ripped from the dragging, exposing her nakedness.

Her pheromones leaked. The lustful eyes of the guards got my attention. They began to lick their lips.

They were probably alphas. They drew closer to the blonde, the chain still on her neck.

“No, get away from me! No!” she struggled.

They ignored her plea. Grabbed her legs. I couldn’t move. Stunned as I watched them devour the little blonde.

Groping her breasts and ramping in her cunt. The excited audience watched on.

I have had enough. I took a deep breath and moved towards the blonde being taken.

With my hand still under chains. I pulled myself up with the chain and kicked one of the guards on top of her.

“What is she doing?”

“She is going to get herself killed”

“Not only her, but all of us”

I wasn’t ready to listen to the blurbing of the others.

I stood before the disgusting guards. They stopped. I watched the lifeless body of the blond-haired lady lying down.

She was almost disfigured, by the violence and abuse she faced a few minutes ago.

“That is enough!” I yelled with my body boiling up with anger.

Amid the unfolding scene. Someone was amused by Ara’s braveness. He watched, his eyes sparkling and focused on Ara.

“Not bad”

Ara’s POV I was no longer scared of what might happen to me. I was disgusted by their acts. I wanted to pull their eyes out and pierce their hearts with my sword. Unfortunately, I was no longer the leader I once was. I had no power and a pack. I was simply a no-name slave. And yet I still wanted to leave a mark. “You have gone too far. This really what Apex hunt is about!” I yelled, drawing everyone’s attention. “You monsters don’t know anything about hunting. Hunters don’t just hunt anything that crosses their path. They wait and explore their surroundings while being careful. They give their all to every catch and every battle won. You are making a mockery of their legacy and disguising it as an Apex Hunt. Don’t make me laugh! “ I voiced out. My voice was firm and confident. I deemed it necessary to remind them of what the true Apex Hunt meant. My father used to tell me stories of the past. A take about strong packs protecting the small and weak packs. Thi

Ara’s POV My body felt lighter. It seemed nice and warm. I didn't want to wake up from this dream. I believe I was back in the old days when my father was alive. He was super dormant Alpha. He protected mother and the pack. Welcomed anyone into his pack. Unfortunately, that became his biggest mistake. He was betrayed by one member he trusted the most. I defeated him a few years later. I gave him a befitting death. Being stabbed behind his back, literally. Waking up was like a nightmare to me. My eyes moved on their own but my body felt too weak and light to make any movement. “You are awake?” I suddenly heard a soothing voice. A voice command, obsessive and confident. Who might that person be? I wondered. “If you are wondering who I am. Then open your eyes” he spoke again. It was a man’s voice. I opened my eyes slowly. I opened my left eye to see who it was. “Huh! It's you” I stood up abruptly. “B-but how?” I spoke out loud. He chuckled. “You are a w

Sebastian POVI could feel her body trembling as I touched her softly. Her body is soft like silk—Radiate and tempting. I could devour all night and it wouldn't be enough for me. I spread her legs to embrace me further. She was already gone. Her face turned into a red tomato. Sweaty from just a kiss. Was I releasing too many pheromones? She was indeed an omega. My omega, mate, and Luna. Of course, I couldn't tell her that. I pulled away after the kiss. She was under me. Breathing so heavily. Her red hair shone and covered half of her face. I gently caressed her face and leveled her hair behind her ear. “How the hell do I calm down if you look like this red” I softly said to her. “I -I can't take it anymore” she whispered like a plea asking me to take her. I grinned. I moved my hand towards her neck. Leaned over and kissed her neck softly. Her body trembled with every touch, I continued to her ear, used my tongue, and licked her ear loop. Ara's POVThe noises stirred me from sleep. Faint chanting reached my ears, mingling with the acrid stench of booze that filled my nostrils.I sniffed and opened my eyes slowly, careful not to wake the beast lying beside me. But as my vision cleared, I realized—he wasn’t there.I wondered where he could be. The thought lingered as I tried to get up, but my body protested—sore and aching from last night.A blush crept across my cheeks at the memory. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. He had been rough, yet surprisingly tender. Sweetness intertwined with ferocity as he caressed me through the night, leaving marks on my skin—so many marks.“So irritating,” I muttered under my breath, tracing a finger along one of the faint bruises. It wasn’t entirely surprising, though.Alphas were known for this—for marking what they claimed as theirs. Each mark he left was a declaration of ownership, a silent proclamation to the world that I belonged to him. My heart began to race wil

Sebastian's POVShe was surprisingly cute—still confident and hardheaded, just as she had always been. I stepped out of the room to give her the privacy she so adamantly demanded.“Alpha Sebastian, the council is waiting for you,” my right-hand man, Gargath, informed me as soon as I exited.“Take it easy, Garth. I know the council is waiting for me. You’ve mentioned it twice since we left the court. Remember?”“Ai, I’m sure I didn’t,” he chuckled. “Did you have fun last night, Seb?”He was the only one in the entire kingdom who dared to call me that. Gargath and I had grown up together, long before our secondary genders had emerged. Though both alphas, our ranks set us apart. He was a dormant alpha, while I was the pack leader. To everyone else, I was a symbol of power and a potential threat. To Gargath, I remained the friend he’d always known, and that bond had kept us inseparable. We walked side by side to the council room. My people, my warriors, and my pack were already seated. As

His anger and humiliation from Sebastian's actions still festered, and his obsession with the red-haired girl—whom he believed had been stolen from him—only fueled his rage further. He was relentless."Brago, why have you summoned us here on such short notice?" Raul, the Alpha leader of the Snow Moon Wolf Pack, demanded, his annoyance evident in his raised voice."Raul, do not make a fuss. I’m sure Brago has a good reason for calling us here. Right, Brago?" Lucrah, the leader of the Oracle Night Pack, interjected with a sly, tinted smile.Brago sighed heavily and took his seat at the head of the table."Apologies for the unannounced meeting, but I couldn’t wait any longer. The thought of that man ruling over us sends chills down my spine. He needs to be stopped—by any means necessary. We would sit together and talk all night. We were there for each other.I was certain some of them survived. They had to be alive somewhere. I needed to find them. But how could I? Some had managed to escape, but it wouldn’t be for long. I would catch up to them soon enough. The mere thought of her finding solace among her people made my blood boil. Maybe my hatred for her ran deeper than I had ever admitted. Or perhaps... it wasn’t hatred at all. From the arena, I watched her, unable to look away. My mind wandered to all the things I could do with her—her lips, her slim figure, that unyielding confidence in her stance.Everything about her was intoxicating. Finally, I managed to escape the tavern with Sebastian’s help. He was undeniably strong—his presence alone spoke volumes. For a brief moment, fear gripped me as I watched the tall, bulky man collapse, choking on his own blood. But when Sebastian extended his hand to me, that fear melted into admiration. He treated me like a princess, gently taking my hand and guiding me out of the chaos. “My lady,” he called me, his voice smooth and flattering. I hadn’t expected such courtesy. Once we were outside, I finally got a proper look at him. There was something oddly familiar about him, though I couldn’t quite place where I’d seen him before.
