Rachel's face turned pale, her eyes wide with shock, as she stood frozen in the doorway. Violet pushed Shawn away quickly and rushed to her room, her face red with embarrassment.

Shawn was confused, his eyebrows furrowing, as he sighed and looked around the room.

Some moments later, both Shawn and Rachel were seated in the living room. Rachel was sobbing quietly, her face buried in her hands, while Shawn sighed, looking at her with concern.

"Is there something you want to tell me?" Rachel asked, her voice shaking. "What's going on between you and your daughter?"

"She is not my daughter," he said, his voice firm.

"Huh?" she exclaimed.

"It's not what you think, Rachel," he said.

"What I shouldn't think?" she asked confusedly. "She is not your daughter?" Shawn stared at her, his expression unreadable.
