I asked as I walk towards them. Manang Lara quickly came to me and held me by the arm.

"Hace, it's my fault. I should be the one to take it and not Nerissa."

I held Lara's shoulder and I could see the fear in her eyes. "Manang, calm down. Tell me what happened?” I faced my men and waited for them to speak.

Pedro swallowed and looked at Nathan before he told the story of what happened. "We were on our way back, boss, when we stopped because she asked me to get some toothpaste that we passed by. We didn't have a cart with us so my goods dropped. Then she left to get the cart she saw not far from us. I looked at her walking, I just bent down for a moment to collect what we brought when I looked up again and she was gone. I thought she just saw something and was taking it, but I also stood up and approached the basket she was supposed to take. I looked for her around, but I couldn't see her anymore.
