Alexander's POV.

Seeing them joke and smile with my father as we headed for the park was one moment that I wished to end instantly.

Soon, we finally got to the park, and climbing out of the car, the boys didn't hesitate to rush towards the play centre where they would have fun.

"Grand Alpha, this is so cool! I'm never leaving the playground!" Jason shouted at the top of his voice as he loved the sight of what he was seeing.

I guess they had always wanted to come to the park but couldn't open up or say it to me.

But then, I was closer to them than my dad. They were just one mysterious and impossible puzzle to fix.

"Kids!!" My father cracked up, the smile on his face making me feel pity for him a bit, but then, I recalled the past.

"Can we just go inside?" I suggested with a deep voice as I rolled my eyes and walked right before him and Summer.

I just felt disgusted knowing that he was cool and sweet with my boys, but when it was my time, he never spared me a single glance.

But the question still remained; was she really desiring to meet me? Was she still in love with me after misunderstanding me? And why did she call last night? I couldn't seem to forget anything about the day my father died. He was the best Alpha in the end. He kept his promises and he walked out of the room alive but he didn't live long to enjoy the fruit of what he had laboured for. Almost all my life, I had tagged him as the bad person, as the bad and ruthless Father. Little did I know and understand that he wasn't being that way because of his choice, he just needed me to be strong.Tears cascaded down my face as I stared blankly at his jacket that was placed before me. It would be used for his funeral because it was the last clothing he had on his deathbed. "I miss you so much, Fa

Alexander's POV. "The Luna?" I scoffed as I stood to my feet, diverting my gaze away from her before turning it back. "I'd rather die than watch you become the Pack's Luna!" I asserted before I turned on my heels and intended to leave the house. Seeing that Jackson didn't surface, it was obvious that he wasn't at home and I understood that part so well. I was about to get out of their house when just then, Ava's voice pierced through my thoughts, halting me to a stop."Will you watch your Luna exit before you see the writing on the wall, Alexander?" She snarled as she stood to her feet. She wanted me to let her have the place of the Luna but that was never going to happen. Not when she was the one who had always plotted evil against Summer. "My mate won't die…I promised her that, Ava!" I declared before walking out of the house and heading for my car. I bet she was going to be disappointed that I didn't give in to her trick but then, that was the best for both my boys and me.
