ASHLEY.
~EARLIER.
"You sure you don't want to come with me?" Lucy asks with raised brows and I nod with a smile, "I have to get to Sinclair. It's been long, Lucinda. "
She rolls her eyes. "Whatever. Go stick with your love. You'll be the one missing all the fun; not me. "
"I don't think I'd miss out on much. Pretty sure I would stay back even if I didn't go. " I joke and she frowns before throwing herself on my roommate's mattress.
"I told you not to go there! That isn't my side of the room!" I scold her, and she laughs, "Bitch, relax. It's just a fucking bed. It's not like your roommate will kill me for it. "
"She doesn't like people touching her stuff. You, especially. You did it last time, too. " I point a finger at her, and she gasps, placing a hand over her chest with a pout, "How dare you accuse me of that? I only came to see my
Thank you for reading, Sweethearts! Updates hasn't been daily, because I had things to take care of, but those are done and we're back to daily updates!^_^ I said it a while ago: We're gradually approaching the end, and depending on how fast I go with the updates; we should wrap SIN up by the month's ending, or first week of next month! (^^) Thank you for once again for reading! And don't forget to vote with your gems:-)
ASHLEY."You taste so fucking delicious, Little Greene. " He says as he pulls the top over my head before pushing me back against the mattress, and littering kisses across my skin. I tremble beneath him when he drags his tongue down my belly to the waistband of my skirt before moving back to my face."You're beautiful, " he whispers near my ear before sucking on the flesh with his tongue; causing me to squirm beneath him."Your hair, " he says, his hand moving to my hair and I watch him with a smile as he plays with the curls. "Did you do something to it? I swear it wasn't like this on phone. "I laugh and wrap my arms around his neck, dragging him down before pressing my lips to his. Sinclair groans and sneaks his hand beneath my body, lifting me barely from the couch to push my body against his. Before he can take the lead, I pull back and move my lips to his neck. I
ASHLEY. "Hey, you! I thought you weren't gonna come out of that room. " Heather jokes as I round the corner with Sinclair by my side and I laugh before moving into her outstretched arms, and wrapping mine around her body. "It's nice to see you too, Heather. " I smile before pulling back but she keeps her hands on me. "You look so much prettier. " She compliments and I give her a shy smile. She lets her hands fall from my waist before leaning back against the wall with hands folded against her chest. "And I hope Sinclair didn't stress you too much?" She lifts her brows as she looks towards the said man who's busy in quiet conservation with Vincent. "Not a bit. I'm glad to be back here. I missed you all so much. " I sigh and she narrows her eyes, "Are you sure we are the ones you missed, or your boyfriend?" I shake my head, a laugh slipping through
SINCLAIR."Here?" She asks and I smile before hoisting her in my arms, and dropping her on the hood of the car. Almost instantly, she spreads her legs and I get between them; dropping my hands on her thighs."Cold?" I ask her and she nods. I shrug my jacket off my shoulders, and wrap it around her body.Ashley chuckles and wraps her hands around my waist. "Look at you being all gentleman. " She teases and I groan, but I'm unable to curb the smile on my face."The snow will start soon. " I tell her and she nods, shifting to the edge of the hood, before bringing my head against her chest and I wrap my arms around her waist."Did Mike ever call?" She asks abruptly, and I shake my head. "Weird, because it's the first time he'll go so long without a need to turn my life upside down, but I guess he learned his lesson. ""Are you okay w
ASHLEY. "Mom, what the fuck is going on? Why the hell is he here?" Vincent bellows, stepping forward and mom's quick to move in front of Dad– shielding him from the fierce gaze of her son. "You need to calm down, Vincent. " Mom speaks calmly and Vincent scoffs, "Calm down? You expect me to fúcking calm down at the sight of that man? What the hell are you doing, Vanessa?" "He's your father, Vincent and he's—" "Oh, God. " Vincent groans, turning away from her and she looks towards me with apologetic eyes. She lied. My mother lied to me. Her boyfriend isn't some fúcking man from back in the day, it's the same fucking man who left her broken and hurt. Her boyfriend is my dad. "We should talk about this. We need to sit down as a family, and talk about—" "Sit down as a family? What the fuck is wrong with yo
ASHLEY. I wake up to Sinclair's head resting heavily on my stomach with his arms wrapped around me in a possessive grip that brings a smile to my face. I push my hand to his head and coil my fingers through his curls, cackling when he lifts his head slightly before dropping it and turning his face to the other side. The smile on my face is quick to be replaced with a frown at the remembrance of how my dad showed up and ruined Christmas for my family before it even started. Now, Vincent is nowhere to be found on Christmas Eve. My irritation for Ben grows by the second, rather than lessens with each thought that crosses my mind, and I find it annoyingly difficult to understand my mother. "Ashley. " I jump in fright; my eyes wide as I meet Arabella's gaze. She's standing beside the bed with a blank face and her hands by her side.
ASHLEY. "You're here?" Mom has a wide smile on her face as she leans against the door, and I nod with a small smile of mine. "We are. Can you let us in at least, Vanessa? It's so fucking cold. " I groan and she chuckles before stepping to the side. We all walk inside the house and I rub my palms against each other as Sinclair grabs the boxes from me and leaves them next to the ones Vanessa prepared. "Vincent isn't here?" Mom asks, and I turn to look at her. Sadness washes over her face as I slowly shake my head, but she's quick to cover it with a smile. "That's okay. I'm glad you guys are here. I thought I was going to spend Christmas alone. " "I wouldn't have let that happen, you know. " I tell her and she nods, spreading her arms. I chuckle before striding to her and getting into her arms. She wraps her arms around me, and brushes her lip
SINCLAIR.My father is dying.Mike is dying. Never have I heard words that make absolutely no sense."What the fuck are you on, William?" I chuckle. "What do you take me for? Do you think I will fall for your lies? Come on, man. You've been doing this for years. Aren't you tired?""You think I'm lying?" He scoffs, his voice sounding both miserable and impatient. It makes me rethink my thoughts and the possibility of the truth that might be behind his words, but fuck me– Mike Leovough dying? That's a case almost close to impossible."I know you are. What does Mike want from me this time? Uh? What does he want to fúcking lure me into this time?" I snap and Ashley is by my side the next second; her hands rubbing down my arms as comfort."I'm not fucking lying to you, you fucking shit. Your father may have done some terr
ASHLEY. "There's something I have to tell you. " Lucinda says as she sinks next to me and I lift my eyes from my phone, tossing the device to the side. "What's it?" I ask with raised brows. "And why do you look worried?" "I'm not. " She chuckles, rubbing her palms against each other and I narrow my eyes at her in a 'are you fucking serious?' motion before nodding to her hands and she lays her hands on her thighs. "I'm not. " She repeats in a firm voice and I smile before shifting closer to her. "I hear you, bitch. What is it you want to tell me?" "You might think I'm stupid because of this. " She sighs and I shrug, "I've always thought you're stupid, so you don't have to worry about that. " "Fuck you, bitch. " She scowls and I scrunch my nose in a playful act. "No, thank you, Lucinda. I have my man to take care of that. "
RALPH. "You're here. " I smile, moving from my seat to give Ashley a hug before she slides into the seat across from me, while I settle back on mine. "Hey, Ralph. How are you?" She smiles, removing her glasses and leaning forward. "I haven't heard from you in a while. A surprise you called. " "Yeah. We've all been busy, haven't we?" I say and she nods, keeping that gentle smile on her face. "Do you want to order anything before—" I start and she shakes her head. "No. I'm good. Are you?" "Sure, I am. " I respond and she hums, narrowing her eyes at me when I say no other word. "You wanted to meet?" "Yes. " I nod, linking my fingers and dropping them in front of me. "I want to talk to you about something important, and I don't know if you've heard it from Lucy or—" "What's it?" She asks and I take a breath before I continue, "You know she's pregnant, don't you?" Her eyes widen. "She is?" I push my head back. "You don't? I thought she'd tell you about that. " "No, she didn't.
Hey, Sweethearts! While wait for Lucy and Ralph's chapter that I'll be releasing this evening, which will be the last bonus chapter that'll close SIN entirely; I just want to let you know that Arabella's story is out!! I know some of you wanted to see her development, and now you have it. Her book is out, and it's titled CRAVE. You can go under my author's icon to see it or simply search for it. CRAVE is a new journey, so it'll be needing all of your support. There are only three chapters available now, so do add to your library, spare some votes for the new one and do leave a review on your thoughts of her story. They'll all be well appreciated. Once again, I'll thank you guys for sticking with SIN to the end. I hope you'll give Arabella the same support you give her brother:-) Thank you, and see you soon again.
DAVE. ✓THREE MONTHS AGO. ASHLEY'S WEDDING. ~ "Hey, I thought Ashley said you weren't in town. " I turn to see Lucy approaching me and I smile at her as she stands in front of me. "I wasn't, but I am now. " "Just for the wedding?" She teases and I laugh, "I couldn't afford to miss it now, could I?" "Definitely not. " She agrees and we both laugh before I open my arms and she gives me a tight hug before she pulls away. "It's nice to see you again, Dave. " "You too, Lucinda. You have..." I trail off, my eyes moving down her body before I meet her gaze again. "You're looking more beautiful. " "When have I ever not?" She replies cockily and I shake my head before I turn my head from her, taking a sip of the drink. "I'll talk to you later, yeah? I need to be on my way. " "See you later. " I say with a raise of the glass and she smiles before she starts to walk away. A sigh leaves my lips as I look around the room filled with people who are here to celebrate the big day of Sincl
VINCENT. My chest falls as I stride inside the house, and shut the door behind me. "And why do you have a frown on your face?" I flinch a bit at the sudden sound and relax when I look to my side to see Heather leaning against the wall with her hands crossed to her chest and a tiny smile on her face. Her blonde hair is pulled in a messy bun, and she's in one of those transparent lace with her bra and her lace panties peeking out from beneath. "Hey, angel. " I smile at her, and she strolls to my front, locking her hands around my neck while I use my free hand around her waist. She kisses the side of my face before she pulls back and whispers, "Hey. ""How long have you been waiting there?" I ask her, referring to her little hide and seek, and she says, "Since I heard the sound of your car. What's wrong? Why did you have a frown on?""Just a stressful day at work. Things didn't exactly go as we thought they would. " I tell her and she looks down at her other hand. She grabs my suitcas
ASHLEY. "Are you nervous?" Heather chuckles as she places a hand on my shoulder and I shake my head despite my trembling hands fisted in my gown. "You do look nervous, " she says playfully. "More happy than nervous?"Lillian turns to me this time with her six-year-old daughter placed on her hip. She's dressed in a simple gown that stays fitted to her body and brings out her perfect features. The woman is still looking as beautiful as ever. "I can remember your words from years ago, Ashley. You promised you'll be more happy than nervous when your big day comes. " I did say that. I said that because I wasn't the one dressed in a heavy gown with a groom waiting to finally lay the final claim on his bride. But now that I am, it'll be a lie to say I'm not nervous. I'm fucking nervous, but that also equals happiness. This is really happening: I'm getting married to that man. After years full of ups and downs, fights and amends, learning and understanding each other better – we're gettin
SIX YEARS AND A FEW MONTHS LATER. √WASHINGTON. DC. ASHLEY. "So you're back and the first person you thought to meet is your man?" Lucy's loud whining voice echoes through my ears, and a chuckle leaves my mouth as I move the phone away a bit before glueing it back to my ear. "I remember you doing the same thing months ago, backstabber. " I remind her of her playful betrayal as I walk inside the company. A company that's managed by Vincent, Sinclair along with one other friend of theirs. It's been three years since they graduated college, and decided to pursue the world of business and exchange side by side, and I'm so fucking proud of how far those men have come, and how fast they continue to grow. When Sinclair first told me about the idea, I was shocked because I wasn't expecting him to go along that line. I would have never imagined Sinclair to go with business despi
SINCLAIR. "What are you getting her?" I ask Vincent as he looks through the set of chocolates on the top rows. He looks back at me and furrows his brows, "Isn't that obvious?" "Just chocolates?" I raise my brows and he sighs, dropping the chocolate box with other things he bought before turning back to me. "Okay, what's it? Don't fucking tell me it's nothing because I know it's fucking something. You've been acting this way since we came in. " "I don't know, man, " I tell him and sigh when he narrows his eyes at me. "I just don't know what to get Little Greene. " "I told you not to call her that name around me. " He frowns and I chuckle. "You should have gotten used to it by now. She's the little one, isn't she?" He rolls his eyes and moves to the other end, and I follow behind him closely, my eyes moving across the set of gifts on the rows but nothing comes close
ASHLEY. A smile remains on my face as I stare at mine and Sinclair's last message. ME: I'm not sure I'll be able to make it. Lectures are hard on me these days. I'm so sorry, babe, you know how much I wish I could be there truly. SINCLAIR: I understand, Little Greene. My first wish was from you so that's alright. At the end of his message is a smiley face. Though I know he can put up with me not showing up on his day because of school, I also know he isn't okay like he claims to be. It's been two months since we last saw each other. Two months since we left Washington. Two months since that heartening night in the snow that's come to become one of my favourite moments with the man I love. Two months since I got an advance proposal from Sinclair Leovough, as weird as that sounds. "You honestly are a tease, " Lucy
