The minutes stretched into what felt hours, the battle a relentless storm of violence and fury. But slowly, imperceptibly at first, the tide began to turn. The enemy wolves, once so fierce and determined, began to falter. Their attacks grew more desperate, their movements less coordinated as they struggled to keep up with the relentless assault from the Sealhow pack.

And then, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the battlefield in deep shadows, the enemy broke. One by one, they began to retreat, their courage faltering as they realized they could not win. Hana watched as they fled back into the forest, their howls of defeat echoing in the distance.

The pack didn’t pursue. They had done what they needed to do—held the line, defended their territory, and sent a clear message that they were not to be trifled with. As the last of the enemy disappeared into the trees, a collective sigh of relief seemed to sweep through the pack.
