The locals were banding together and getting ready for the approaching war as word of the threat quickly spread. She observed as youngsters assisted in gathering supplies, blacksmiths worked on crafting weapons, and scouts reported in from the periphery. She was proud of the togetherness and resolve she observed, but there was also a hint of concern. Marcus stepped forward, a gloomy expression on his face. “The scouts have attested to it. Though Havenbrook had shown its might, the conflict was far from ended. Kyra's thoughts were already shifting to her next move as she made her way across the camp. Although they had gained some time, the warlord was not going to stop until Havenbrook was destroyed.
