THE FALLOUT.

Eldon was standing in the room, his ears still ringing with the sound of the Lord of Shadows' last cry.

The glaring light started to dim, exposing the broken remains of the black crystal. An almost palpable sense of relief and release replaced the heavy weight of the shadow.

Beside him, Kyra and Marcus had their firearms down but were still prepared for any last-minute attack. "Is it over?" Kyra enquired, her tone a mixture of hope and tiredness.

Eldon nodded, but something in him still wary. "With the crystal destroyed, the power source of the shadow is also destroyed. However, we must make sure that no traces remain that can endanger Havenbrook or any other location."

The gang paused to regain their breath. Eldon scanned the room, taking in the runes and archaic symbols that decorated the walls. After millennia as a stronghold of evil, this location seemed barren and devoid of the evil spirit that had formerly inhabited it.
