Chapter 2: Luna's Visit
Hannah "Quite a surprise, yes," the Luna laughed a bit. "May I come in?" She asked, even though she had the power to waltz into anywhere she wanted. "Sure, please come in," I heard my mother say as she closed the doors. I peeked my head from the floor of the stairs a bit to catch a glimpse of Luna Clara and to know why she was there. "How have you been lately?" She asked my mother as she stepped in fully. "I've been good, thank you for asking," my mother replied. "Would you like something to drink or anything?" She continued as a diligent host and a member of the pack. "Oh, no, no, that's alright, I was only passing by and thought to drop by." They continued their conversation in hushed voices as they stood. "Okay then," she hummed as she looked around awkwardly. This wasn't just a visit, I had surmised. It's not every day the Luna of Ravens Fall pack just so happens to drop by while she was on a walk. I didn't buy it, but then there was nothing that I could think about. "How are the kids?" Luna Clara continued when suddenly her piercing blue eyes met mine. I retracted my head immediately, feeling a bit scared from her gaze. "They are all good. How is Bryan?" My mother continued, oblivious to the brief exchange just now. "He's alright. Oh, speaking of him, I'm pretty sure you just hit the same memo I did," Luna. Clara said, although no cell phones rang out. Still, my mother replied. "Oh, I just did as well." "I was on my way to the Pack's house, maybe she could come with me. I could use an escort," Luna Clara's voice rang out. I knew they were talking about me at this point when my mother yelled for me. Stepping out with caution from the doors that led up to the stairs, as though I was being watched by a ferocious predator—Luna Clara's eyes gave off that feeling. I was conscious of the fact that I was still in my torn clothes from the earlier incident. "Greetings, Luna Clara," I greeted as I bowed my head in respect. "Hello, dear. What happened this time?" A horrified look replaced her easygoing one when she took in my bloody clothes and appearance. Although I had already started to heal, I had not gone to change out of these clothes yet. "It was an accident, I fell into a ditch earlier," I lied straight out, even though I knew she would know the truth already, or if she didn’t, then she would later. "Well, you need to be careful where you are going next time," she said, but I could feel her eyes saying something else, something of a deeper meaning. Putting it aside when I heard my mother speak; "You haven't gone up to change yet?" My mother asked with a disapproving look. "Well, go on quickly, Alpha Bryan has asked to see you. You can follow the Luna." I had no idea why the Alpha would want to see me this time around or, rather, what chore he would like to assign me. "Okay," I responded and quickly hurried up to change, not wanting to keep Luna Clara waiting. When I came back down, my mother and the Luna had just finished their discussion. "I'll see you around then, yes?" she asked my mother as we prepared to leave. "Sure, you will," she smiled back at the Luna. "Great!" Luna Clara exclaimed before turning to me and asking, "Shall we?" I only gave a slow nod—not that it mattered—then followed her out the doors. "Dinner will be ready when you get home, okay?" my mother whispered as I passed by her. I didn’t know if it was her choice not to be loud or if she just didn’t want the Luna eavesdropping; either way, I got the message. I waved her goodbye as I fell in step with the Luna, a few steps behind her with my head bowed. "Don't be so far," she said, and I took a few steps closer to her but still kept a safe distance. "So, how have you been?" she inquired as I tried to keep pace with her stride. My body was still in pain. "I'm good, ma'am," I answered, not so honestly, but it’s not like she’d care anyway. "That's good to hear." There was silence before her voice sounded again. "So, any changes lately?" "Changes?" I was confused by the question. "It's been almost three years, and you've never for once shifted. Are there any changes now?" Her voice had a hint of irritation, showing her disappointment at my slowness. I had no idea she kept tabs on these things, especially when they didn’t concern me, being the runt of the pack and considered an omega. But then again, she was the Luna. "No, ma'am, no changes." I cast my gaze down towards the ground disappointed in myself as well while keeping pace with her, occasionally glancing up so as not to miss a step. "Don't worry, dear; I'm sure you're just a late bloomer, that's all," she reassured. Nothing was said after that until the pack house came into view. "Well, he's in his office," she said as we approached the building. "Go in now; he doesn't like to be kept waiting." With a smile on her face, she waltzed away, leaving me to my own thoughts. "That was weird," I thought as I began to make my way towards Bryan's office. The luna had never personally asked me questions before, although she had visited my mom several times; her dropping by today was just odd. I made my way through the pack house. It was mid-afternoon on a Saturday, so the pack house wasn't quite as full as it should be. There were a few girls in the living room with some guys, some in the kitchen, and a few just hanging around. I made a beeline towards Bryan's office, avoiding gazes as I moved past a few other members. They paid me no attention whatsoever. Once I had reached the door to the Alpha's office, I took a deep breath before knocking on the door. I thought I heard an invitation from the other side of the doors. Taking that as my cue, I pushed the doors open—and instantly regretted it. I hurriedly pushed myself back as I closed the door, breathing heavily and frozen in fear as I thought, "He's going to kill me." What had I done to deserve such bad luck? Bryan and his girlfriend were in the middle of a makeout session, which seemed to be progressing even further, as they had both lost their shirts in the process. I waited patiently at the door for a while, cursing myself to death until finally, the door opened up. "I'm so sorry to intrude, sir; I thought I heard you say, 'Come in,'" I quickly started to apologize with my head bent down, fearing the wrath I'd seen in his eyes. I slightly peeked at him. He was still shirtless, which made me blush a bit. Heather was in his arms, her eyes stared daggers at me, probably for interrupting, and I lowered my head further to the ground. She was the daughter of one of the strongest warriors in our pack. Both her parents had made a name for themselves and their family, and they were also wealthy. I had no intention of offending her more than my existence already did daily. She and her group were at the top of my list of tormentors that made my life a living hell. I knew she wasn't going to let this one slide, so I mentally prepared myself for later. "I'll see you tonight?" she asked in a light, innocent voice. I could hear the smile in the way she spoke. "Of course," he replied as he kissed her rather roughly, grabbing a bit of her bum before finally letting her go. I resumed my position and saw she was now staring at me, the hate clearly visible, not hiding anything from Bryan. She walked up to me and slapped me hard on both sides of my face with as much force as you'd expect from a werewolf. I was still in pain from my earlier session with my brothers, and my face was only just recovering. I dared not to touch my now swollen face in front of her or groan in pain, only bending my head in shame. I did not expect the Alpha to do anything; that was his girlfriend, after all. "Stupid bitch," I heard her curse before she began to walk away. Once she was out of sight, Alpha Bryan invited me into his office. "Next time, wait until I say you should come in, then come in. Do you understand?" he ordered as he began to put his shirt back on. The office was quite a mess. When he had finally dressed more properly, he turned to me with his perfectly arched eyebrows raised. "I'm sorry, are you deaf?" he asked. "I asked you a question just now," he yelled. Cowering in fear, I stuttered as I answered, "I un-der…st..stand, sir," as I remembered the question he had asked me. Dismissing my behavior, he stated, "The reason you were called here is to inform you of the party I'll be having here in the pack house today." He looked at me to confirm if I was listening. The only time he was ever allowed to have a party in the pack house was when the current Alpha, his father, was not around. This would explain why there were so few people present in the pack house. Bryan continued, "I want this house to be tidied up before 8 p.m. when the party starts, so you have about…" He trailed off as he checked his watch to confirm the time. "Five hours or so. You can start with this office," he said, passing by me and walking out the doors. I knew it would be a lot of work, so I wasn't surprised. I looked around the office; it wasn't too dirty, just the table that was scattered probably from their activity earlier, I shivered in disgust. I sighed inwardly as I made my way downstairs to get a few cleaning supplies. I wasn’t ready for another round of beating, as I was only just recovering and they all still hurt. I started with the office he had left me in. After I had gotten what I needed downstairs, I began to pick up the scattered papers that littered the floor, a few pens, and a broken laptop. I wasn’t sure if I should throw it out, so I folded it and placed it by the side of the table. The broken teacup, I disposed of into the trash can I had brought earlier. I placed the books back on the shelf, running my hands over the bindings, wishing I could just sit and read a few. But I knew that was never possible. I picked up the last item on the ground. It was a brown file with the name "Griffin Hale Pack." That was the name of one of the most powerful packs, or so I’d heard from pack members here, though I had never witnessed why they were called so. This must probably be important, I thought as I moved towards the drawers. I opened one, placed the file inside, and then froze, noticing something odd. It was a small black box with golden rims, about the size of a book. Clicking open the locks, I gasped—it was a shiny black revolver. "Why would the Alpha need a gun? They were werewolves," I thought, frowning at the sight of the weapon when suddenly, I heard a voice that startled me. "What are you doing?"Chapter 3: Mine Hannah I almost lost my grip on the weapon, afraid someone might have caught me snooping around. "Nothing, uhmm..." I quickly responded, fumbling for words, and placed the revolver back in its original position, sliding the box back into the drawer. I tried to act like nothing had happened, even though I knew I had been caught. "If it's nothing, then what the hell are you doing in here?" The voice that startled me belonged to none other than Heather King. "Sir Bryan ordered me to start the cleanup for a party later this evening," I replied, my voice barely audible, but I knew my message had reached her sharp hearing. "Then why are you just standing there?" She asked, walking through the room with no concern for me, as if I didn’t even exist. It seemed like she was searching for something. I quickly resumed my work. I was almost finished with the office anyway, and I walked towards the doors with my cart. "Finally," Heather exclaimed, pulling out her phone from t
Chapter 4: Left to die Hannah I stared at the shock on Bryan's face, which gradually morphed into one of disgust and hate. The entire room was silent. The music had died down, and you could hear a pin drop as everyone anticipated what would happen next. No one would have believed it and neither did I; that I would finally find my mate. I didn’t even have to leave the borders of the Raven Falls pack. But I did not expect ‘him’ to be my mate. My expectations dwindled as the silence stretched on. Heather already had a smile on her face, looking at Bryan as if she knew what was coming next. The hand wrapped around her waist was released as Bryan took a step forward. Then another. And another, until he was only a foot away from me. He was so close I could feel his hot breath fanning across my face. I wanted to savor that moment, his scent intoxicating, but I knew it wouldn't last long no matter how much I wanted it to. Staring into his blue eyes, the disgust was evident, nothing s
Chapter 5: Brown-eyed Beta Hannah "When do you think she’ll come through?" A female voice asked, sounding concerned. I wondered who it was; I’ve never been shown that kind of concern, with my mother being the only exception. "I don’t really know. It’s only been a few hours since the surgery. It all depends on her, though. She’s a werewolf, so we shouldn’t be too worried. I don’t know how long she was out there, however," a male voice answered, closer than the other. "Who would do something like this? They could have killed her," the first voice questioned, concern evident. "Maybe that was their intention in the first place," the closer voice replied softly, sounding sad. "It’s a miracle they found her in time. If they hadn’t, I don’t think we could have helped her." "I pray she pulls through. No one deserves to be treated this way, no matter the crime," the woman said. "Oh, she will. This one’s a fighter," the man assured her. They continued to talk about other things, but I di
Chapter 6: Fear of Wolfsbane Hannah: I hadn’t seen Tyrell for almost a week since he last threatened me with one of the deadliest poisons to wolves: wolfsbane. I was so scared that he might have actually used it. I had to constantly look out for him, just in case. Even though the doctor assured me that he had convinced the alpha to avoid violent means, I still found myself looking over my shoulder every now and then. This was an unknown territory, after all, and I was new here. It was quiet, save for the beeping sound on the monitor. Doctor Riley had shown me where the bathroom was, which contained basic necessities I could use, like a toothbrush, toothpaste, scrubs, and the rest. Every time I freshened up, I was always in a hospital robe. The nurses were a lot of help since I was still wrapped in bandages. Although I had tried to get them to leave it up to me, they insisted and I didn't know how to feel about that. It was a new feeling having to be served by others. Today was
Chapter 7: A Friend in Cleo Hannah: The door burst open, and the doctor walked in. Once he saw my frightened look, he glanced toward Tyrell, then down at the vial Tyrell was holding. "Beta Tyrell! You cannot do this without the Alpha's knowledge," Doctor Riley said as he moved to shield me from Tyrell. They held each other’s gaze in a tense standoff until, finally, Tyrell seemed to find a reason not to harm me, at least not yet. Putting away the vial, I saw Doctor Riley take a deep breath of relief. Tyrell, with a slight shove of his hand, moved Doctor Riley gently to the side as he stepped toward me. "I know you’re lying or maybe not telling the full truth… but I will get it out of you. You are not about to destroy my pack once again," Tyrell said, using the commanding Beta voice that forced me to look at him. The pressure weighed on me, and the fear in my heart intensified as I tried to control my breathing, which had only just calmed down when Doctor Riley entered. We star
Chapter 8: Late Bloomer Hannah: "What?" Cleo asked, looking confused. "What do you mean you can't shift?" she asked again as she snatched the notepad from my grasp, taking in the words as if she couldn’t understand. They were all staring at me like I’d grown an extra head. It must have been really unseen for one my age to not have shifted. I felt even more embarrassed at my uselessness. "Aren’t you like... older than fifteen or something?" Riley asked cautiously, rounding the kitchen counter with an eyebrow raised. I grabbed the notepad back from Cleo and quickly scribbled, "I only just turned eighteen." I skipped over the part about already finding my mate and the whole backstory, as it wasn’t really relevant and it was also quite hurtful to remember. Typically, a person shifts at fifteen, but when my time came, nothing happened. It just... passed. They all stared in silence until Riley cleared his throat to dismiss the awkwardness. "Well, it’s really not that strange. Some
Chapter 9: The Alpha Hannah: I woke up the next morning feeling groggy. The house was unusually quiet. As I walked out of my room, heading toward the bathroom, I noticed it was still dark outside, most people haven’t woken up yet. I’d always woken up early—Alpha's orders. I had chores to do in the pack house, and I had to start before the day got busy. Then, I remembered I wasn’t in my former pack anymore, and there was nothing for me to do. No orders. No responsibilities. I walked to the bathroom, which was surprisingly furnished to suit a woman's taste. A new toothbrush sat on the counter, and I couldn’t help but wonder if Tyrell had once lived with a woman. I quickly erased the thought as it was none of my business and began brushing my teeth. Looking at myself in the mirror, my appearance didn’t seem particularly striking. People in my old pack had told me I was pretty, but I never truly believed them. If I were really beautiful, I thought, they wouldn’t have treated me so po
Chapter 10: The initiation Hannah The man who had spoken, whom I presumed to be the Alpha, froze in place when he looked at me. I noticed a lost look in his eyes before I quickly cast my gaze downward to avoid disrespecting him. I knew what came next from disrespecting an Alpha—it was the whole reason I was in this pack in the first place. He cleared his throat and spoke again. "A very vibrant color you’ve chosen for your hair. Any particular reason?" I only shook my head. I hadn’t brought my notepad and pen with me. "Hm, yes," he continued, "I heard you cannot make use of your voice. A shame, really." He sighed. "You’re from the Ravens’ Fall Pack, are you not?" he asked, louder now. I could feel the same pressure I had earlier bearing down on me, forcing me to speak. I tried but could only nod my head in answer. Cleo was wrong; they were all the same. They used fear as a tool, showing their dominance at every turn. My heart raced. Was he going to kill me for being
TWO YEARS LATER Hannah: It's been two years now and things have changed for the better, the pack was much more lively than before and perfectly safe from any known harm.I spent more time with my mother and father who had stepped down for Harry to take over which was the plan before. Everyone was okay with this, especially Luna Arya, she was the happiest, it's what she had wanted from the very beginning. She was happy, she didn't have a problem with either me or my mother, this was mainly because my mother wasn't willing to take the title of Luna even until now.I supported her decision the whole way, and so did my father.Harry has been doing a wonderful job as the Alpha. Well, I expected nothing less from someone who had been training since they were young.Cleo hadn't yet found her mate, so she decided to choose one, a man named Enoch. He was from a visiting pack for an alliance. He and Cleo got really close and he decided that he wanted to stay rath
Bryan:It's been a few weeks since the death of my father. Immediately after his funeral, there was the ceremony for me to be the next alpha, since then I've been running the pack. It's been quite stressful, but if I don't do it, I'll let my pack be susceptible to attacks, it would make us vulnerable. It was early in the morning, and my mother and I were seated in my office which I had to rearrange, let some light in, and move some things to my liking. My mother has been of great help in running the pack. She looked happier, and more free, and made me thank the moon goddess for what she had done, even though that would make me a bad son for wishing his father dead.We were talking about how we were going to open up the west wing, as well as those tunnels. I had thought to keep them open but now that she brought it up, my mind wasn't made up yet."I'm just saying, what if something happens, and there's a need for us to hide or retreat, it'll be an excellent escape route if we were ever
Tyrell:While I informed Alpha Daniel about our little adventure out of the pack lands, Hannah had excused herself and walked over to where Timothy stood. I couldn't take my eyes off her, or rather I didn't want to, but the alpha always called my attention back.I don't think he knows that his Daughter and I are in a relationship. I'll have to talk about it with Hannah first, but I'm definitely sure her mother did."Well since everything turned out okay, we can finally throw a feast in celebration," the alpha suggested as he scooted to sit with his mate. "We were meant to have it when we had avoided bloodshed with the Raven Falls pack, but since the stars of the show weren't there we just had to wait until you all came back."Luna Melissa smiled as she cuddled closer to Alpha Daniel, they were truly mates, something I wished for Hannah and I to have in the future."Maybe something small perhaps," Hannah said as she joined in on the conversation sitting beside me with just enough space
Hannah:After escaping from hunters, a few days of running, and stopping to hunt for food, we finally reached the pack house. I was so happy that we were finally back in our home, in our land. When we approached the pack house, my father and mother were already by the doors. When he saw us coming, he ordered for clothes to be brought for usIt was a long way here, we had to shift to our full forms to be faster for us to arrive.I threw on the large hoodie I was given before I ran into my Mom's embrace, she had tears streaming down her face as she held me in her arms, and my father came around as well and joined in.My family, the one thing I had wanted ever since I was young, and here they were surrounding me, I finally pulled away, and my mother used her backhands to wipe the tears from her face before she checked me, turning my face from side to side as she sniffed, "Your okay, your okay, your home now," she said before pulling me in for another hug.I really could get used to this.
Naomi:I heard more noises outside, I went to step out when they opened fire, and I fell to the ground immediately with my hands over my head as they continued to shoot. There was an intense pain in my leg and I knew I sprained an ankle while going down.I wondered what the hell was wrong with my brother, was his hate for werewolves greater than the life of his own sister?I stayed on the ground until the shooting finally stopped. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? DID MY SISTER COME OUT OF THERE? WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO FIRE?" I heard my brother's voice, Nathan, rage from outside.Well at least I knew he still cared for me, this brought a smile but only a little as I never really forgave him for what he did a year ago.Who would have thought the daughter of the leader of werewolf hunters would actually fall in love with a werewolf?"Sir, two of our men went in but we've been unable to reach them…" One of his men said, his voice was noticeably shaking but slightly."And tha
Tyrell:I examined Hannah frantically as she laid in my arms, she was sweating but she insisted she was okay even though there was a bullet lodged into her abdomen."Here, let me see," Cleo rushed and knelt beside me before she took over haha while I hovered over her shoulder.Hannah grunted, "You guys, I'm fine, we just need to get out of here," she said before she tried to stand but gritted her teeth while Cleo helped her back down."We need to remove the bullet, if not you're gonna be feeling the pain a lot more," Cleo stated. "We need a little bit of time, if we leave now in her state, and we won't get far." "It's a silver bullet, if you don't remove it now she might die, as backup would soon be here, believe me, if they do get here, then there's no leaving for anyone," Naomi bit out as she lifted the curtains slightly and peeked out the window.I calmed down only a bit, since it was silver, then we have less problem to worry about, that would be that there's still a bullet lodge
Hannah:We didn't sleep for long, less than two hours when we were woken up by Cleo, apparently, we had to watch the news or something. The sun was badly up no more.Tyrell stood up and helped me up as well before we exited the bedroom and walked into the living room.Cleo and Timothy were standing when she pointed at the TV.I glanced at the TV and instantly understood her panic. We were on it, all three of us at least.I mean it would be weird if they didn't capture a scene like that but I didn't think they would broadcast it.We were at the playground where we attacked Donovan, that was where they captured us, there were a few more pictures of mostly Donovan but then us as well before they were done. Our faces were a bit blurry, but if you knew who we were, you'd probably know that's us. Naomi came up on the screen next, she looked frantic but still kept her composure as she answered the interviewer's questions."So you say you're a journalist right, what would you be writing about
Hannah:I wanted to watch as everything burnt to the ground, but Naomi insisted that we leave because her hunter family might be showing up anytime soon.Tyrell pulled me by the arm and Cleo followed after us, the fire ragged on wildly into the sky behind us as we made our way out of there. We heard noises coming from down the road."Quickly, you need to leave, they are already here," Naomi pleaded, her eyes dancing frantically between us and down the road. What was that look on her face, why did she fear that something bad might happen, and why did she care?"You guys go ahead, I'll stall them off, but you need to hurry," she urged us.I didn't really have anything to say, but Tyrell did, "Thank you for all your help until we meet again," he said goodbye to her, and so did Cleo.I guess I was the only one who was uncomfortable with her presence.Tyrell looked at her confused for a minute before we were on our way, leaving Naomi behind. I wanted to ask Tyrell why he trusted her so muc
Hannah:After confirming that Donovan was finally dead, I breathed in deeply, there was no longer a threat on Mother's life, nor mine. There was a sense of relief that washed over me, I stood back up and I felt warm hands wrap around me from behind, "It's over, it's finally over," Tyrell whispered into my ear. His husky breath tickled a bit, and the fabric of his shirt came in contact with my bare skin."He was the only person left who knew I was a silver blood, as well as my mother," I said quietly just to Tyrell although I knew Cleo must have heard.Tyrell replied, "That's good then, the rest only know that a white wolf was roaming in the woods, according to the orders he probably gave to them. As long as you can stay off their radar for a little while, they'll lose interest and everything will go back to normal." He placed a soft kiss behind my ears before someone's voice broke our tranquility.Naomi stepped up, "This seems really lovely, and I'd hate to break such a wonderful coup
