Chapter 7: A Friend in Cleo

Hannah:

The door burst open, and the doctor walked in. Once he saw my frightened look, he glanced toward Tyrell, then down at the vial Tyrell was holding.

"Beta Tyrell! You cannot do this without the Alpha's knowledge," Doctor Riley said as he moved to shield me from Tyrell.

They held each other’s gaze in a tense standoff until, finally, Tyrell seemed to find a reason not to harm me, at least not yet.

Putting away the vial, I saw Doctor Riley take a deep breath of relief.

Tyrell, with a slight shove of his hand, moved Doctor Riley gently to the side as he stepped toward me.

"I know you’re lying or maybe not telling the full truth… but I will get it out of you. You are not about to destroy my pack once again," Tyrell said, using the commanding Beta voice that forced me to look at him.

The pressure weighed on me, and the fear in my heart intensified as I tried to control my breathing, which had only just calmed down when Doctor Riley entered.

Chapter 8: Late Bloomer Hannah: "What?" Cleo asked, looking confused. "What do you mean you can't shift?" she asked again as she snatched the notepad from my grasp, taking in the words as if she couldn’t understand. They were all staring at me like I’d grown an extra head. It must have been really unseen for one my age to not have shifted. I felt even more embarrassed at my uselessness. "Aren’t you like... older than fifteen or something?" Riley asked cautiously, rounding the kitchen counter with an eyebrow raised. I grabbed the notepad back from Cleo and quickly scribbled, "I only just turned eighteen." I skipped over the part about already finding my mate and the whole backstory, as it wasn’t really relevant and it was also quite hurtful to remember. Typically, a person shifts at fifteen, but when my time came, nothing happened. It just... passed. They all stared in silence until Riley cleared his throat to dismiss the awkwardness. "Well, it’s really not that strange. Some

Chapter 9: The Alpha Hannah: I woke up the next morning feeling groggy. The house was unusually quiet. As I walked out of my room, heading toward the bathroom, I noticed it was still dark outside, most people haven’t woken up yet. I’d always woken up early—Alpha's orders. I had chores to do in the pack house, and I had to start before the day got busy. Then, I remembered I wasn’t in my former pack anymore, and there was nothing for me to do. No orders. No responsibilities. I walked to the bathroom, which was surprisingly furnished to suit a woman's taste. A new toothbrush sat on the counter, and I couldn’t help but wonder if Tyrell had once lived with a woman. I quickly erased the thought as it was none of my business and began brushing my teeth. Looking at myself in the mirror, my appearance didn’t seem particularly striking. People in my old pack had told me I was pretty, but I never truly believed them. If I were really beautiful, I thought, they wouldn’t have treated me so po

Chapter 10: The initiation Hannah The man who had spoken, whom I presumed to be the Alpha, froze in place when he looked at me. I noticed a lost look in his eyes before I quickly cast my gaze downward to avoid disrespecting him. I knew what came next from disrespecting an Alpha—it was the whole reason I was in this pack in the first place. He cleared his throat and spoke again. "A very vibrant color you’ve chosen for your hair. Any particular reason?" I only shook my head. I hadn’t brought my notepad and pen with me. "Hm, yes," he continued, "I heard you cannot make use of your voice. A shame, really." He sighed. "You’re from the Ravens’ Fall Pack, are you not?" he asked, louder now. I could feel the same pressure I had earlier bearing down on me, forcing me to speak. I tried but could only nod my head in answer. Cleo was wrong; they were all the same. They used fear as a tool, showing their dominance at every turn. My heart raced. Was he going to kill me for being

Chapter 11: The Pack House Hannah: "Like I said before, I do not have time to introduce you personally to the pack. It's a good thing Miss Carter is here; she can help you with what you need," Alpha Daniel said. He turned towards Cleo. "You're helping her get situated in one of the rooms in the pack house. A few clothes will be nice as well." And with that, he was off, leaving just me and Cleo in the forest. "That was fast. Normally, it’d take a longer, more boring speech," she pondered for a bit. "Count yourself lucky—you don’t have to go through all that." I didn’t know what to think about it, as this was my first-ever initiation. But I was not expecting the blood part a bit. I wish someone would have told me what to expect, though. "Shall we go over to the pack house now?" she asked. As we were the only ones in the forest circle, there was no point in us being there any longer. I nodded. We both made our way to her car and began our drive back to the pack house. While on the

Chapter 12: Attack Hannah: "Tyrell!" A look of disbelief was written across her face. "What are you doing here?" Arya asked as she shot a suspicious glance between the two of us, her voice reduced to a lower level as she took a step back. Tyrell ignored her question and, with a bit of pressure hanging in the air, repeated, "What are you doing here?" Arya visibly gnashed her teeth under the weight of his words, her eyes shifting between the both of us before she stammered a response. "I... I was only—" she hesitated, struggling to find her footing. "I was only here to greet the new members. To welcome them into our pack, that's all," she declared, taking another step back. "I'm going to pretend I didn't hear what you said earlier," Tyrell said coolly, though irritation, and perhaps a hint of hurt, flickered across his face. "Since you've seen her, you can take your leave." "Yes, Beta," Arya muttered, clearly subdued. I doubted she could say anything else under the palpable tensio

Chapter 13: Rogues In The Woods Hannah: I felt my whole life flash before my eyes. It wasn't a long life, full of pain and suffering. I had always been afraid to die, even though I had no real future prospects left, no one would have really missed me if I did die. Cleo was a bit further away from me, and I couldn't see how she was faring. Then again, I didn’t have time to think about her—I was about to be killed. This wasn't how I imagined my death would come. The wolf on top of me raised its massive head, ready to strike. I couldn’t even scream for my pathetic life, how pitiful. My breathing was ragged, my hair a tangled mess, and tears streamed down my face. The wolf’s head descended rapidly toward mine, and I could do nothing but turn to the side and brace for impact, squeezing my eyes shut. I heard a loud growl, followed by the weight lifting off of me. For a moment, I thought, “Is this what death is like? It’s actually not that bad.” Then I realized I wasn't dead

Chapter 14: The Silver Book Hannah: A WEEK LATER It had been a week since my initiation into the Crows Hill pack, and I had yet to be assigned any chores or duties. It was kind of weird not having anything to do since all my life, all I ever did was work. So, I spent my days roaming the lands, helping out when and where I could. One day, I stumbled upon the pack’s library. It quickly became my sanctuary, it was one of a kind. Back at my old pack, I never had the chance to enjoy a library. I was always too busy with chores or trying to avoid getting beaten or trying to get my wounds cleaned. Now, I had the library to myself. Most of the time, I'd pick a book and take it back to my room, as the library was often crowded. I was lying on my bed, engrossed in another book—Beast of Vengeance. It was an intriguing read, filled with twists and turns. The story centered on a man consumed by the rage of revenge after losing everything. As he gave in to the darkness, it was clear that he h

Chapter 15: Mini History Hannah: As one of the kitchen heads had commanded, I was on my way to help with cleaning. When I arrived, I received several disapproving stares, as though they didn’t want me there. It’s not like I wanted to be looked at that way, but I had been given a direct order, and I wasn’t about to disobey it. I was wiping down the table with a rag, trying to ignore the whispers and the looks of disdain directed at me. You’d think I’d have gotten used to it after all these years of facing similar treatment, but it always managed to get to me. I tried to work faster, hoping to finish so I could escape the suffocating atmosphere of the room. As I moved to clean the next table, my eyes landed on someone's shoes. When I looked up, the person was staring down at me with an expression of pure disgust. I didn’t recognize her, but she had long brown hair, and I couldn’t understand why she was giving me that look. It’s not like I’d done anything to her. Beside her was a

TWO YEARS LATER Hannah: It's been two years now and things have changed for the better, the pack was much more lively than before and perfectly safe from any known harm.I spent more time with my mother and father who had stepped down for Harry to take over which was the plan before. Everyone was okay with this, especially Luna Arya, she was the happiest, it's what she had wanted from the very beginning. She was happy, she didn't have a problem with either me or my mother, this was mainly because my mother wasn't willing to take the title of Luna even until now.I supported her decision the whole way, and so did my father.Harry has been doing a wonderful job as the Alpha. Well, I expected nothing less from someone who had been training since they were young.Cleo hadn't yet found her mate, so she decided to choose one, a man named Enoch. Bryan:It's been a few weeks since the death of my father. Immediately after his funeral, there was the ceremony for me to be the next alpha, since then I've been running the pack. It's been quite stressful, but if I don't do it, I'll let my pack be susceptible to attacks, it would make us vulnerable. It was early in the morning, and my mother and I were seated in my office which I had to rearrange, let some light in, and move some things to my liking. My mother has been of great help in running the pack. She looked happier, and more free, and made me thank the moon goddess for what she had done, even though that would make me a bad son for wishing his father dead.We were talking about how we were going to open up the west wing, as well as those tunnels. I had thought to keep them open but now that she brought it up, my mind wasn't made up yet."I'm just saying, what if something happens, and there's a need for us to hide or retreat, it'll be an excellent escape route if we were ever

Tyrell:While I informed Alpha Daniel about our little adventure out of the pack lands, Hannah had excused herself and walked over to where Timothy stood. I couldn't take my eyes off her, or rather I didn't want to, but the alpha always called my attention back.I don't think he knows that his Daughter and I are in a relationship. I'll have to talk about it with Hannah first, but I'm definitely sure her mother did."Well since everything turned out okay, we can finally throw a feast in celebration," the alpha suggested as he scooted to sit with his mate. "We were meant to have it when we had avoided bloodshed with the Raven Falls pack, but since the stars of the show weren't there we just had to wait until you all came back."Luna Melissa smiled as she cuddled closer to Alpha Daniel, they were truly mates, something I wished for Hannah and I to have in the future."Maybe something small perhaps," Hannah said as she joined in on the conversation sitting beside me with just enough space

When he saw us coming, he ordered for clothes to be brought for usIt was a long way here, we had to shift to our full forms to be faster for us to arrive.I threw on the large hoodie I was given before I ran into my Mom's embrace, she had tears streaming down her face as she held me in her arms, and my father came around as well and joined in.My family, the one thing I had wanted ever since I was young, and here they were surrounding me, I finally pulled away, and my mother used her backhands to wipe the tears from her face before she checked me, turning my face from side to side as she sniffed, "Your okay, your okay, your home now," she said before pulling me in for another hug.I really could get used to this.

"We need a little bit of time, if we leave now in her state, and we won't get far." "It's a silver bullet, if you don't remove it now she might die, as backup would soon be here, believe me, if they do get here, then there's no leaving for anyone," Naomi bit out as she lifted the curtains slightly and peeked out the window.I calmed down only a bit, since it was silver, then we have less problem to worry about, that would be that there's still a bullet lodge

We were on it, all three of us at least.I mean it would be weird if they didn't capture a scene like that but I didn't think they would broadcast it.We were at the playground where we attacked Donovan, that was where they captured us, there were a few more pictures of mostly Donovan but then us as well before they were done. Our faces were a bit blurry, but if you knew who we were, you'd probably know that's us.
