Two

                  *•ARA's POV•*

It can't be! He really can't be here! And he is an alpha! 

    I watched as the tray was slipping from Cindy's hand. She was too engrossed in her mate to realize that she was about to drop the food and get me in trouble. I speedily reached her and took the tray from her before she could drop all my hard work. When I kept the food securely, I grabbed Cindy by her shoulders and led her away from the dining area—away from her mate who was growling at me. 

    "Cindy! What was that about? You almost dropped the food back there."

    "He's here. Alpha Black is here. And he's my mate." She whispered, still dazed.

    "Your wish came true. You are mated to an alpha. I'm so happy for you!" 

   "Noooo! He'll reject me! I'm an Omega and he's an Alpha!" 

   "What are you saying? He'd be a fool to reject you!"

    "But I'm a mere omega!"

    "You are a Beta's daughter. Never forget that. He's your mate. You won't reject you. Never!" I hugged her so tightly. My poor girl is afraid. To a werewolf, rejection is like death. First, you'd be in pain, then shock, then denial, then anger, next up, you might just die of a broken heart. 

I will have to castrate him if he ever thinks of reject her, alpha or not, testicles will roll.

     I was about to say something when the kitchen door opened abruptly and Cindy stiffened. Her mate is here. The big bad alpha is here. Let's see if there's a need to sharpen my testicle cutting knife. 

    "Stand away from my mate!" The deep strong voice commanded. I would have fought the command, but he used his Alpha command on me and I couldn't fight. He took calm, threatening steps towards Cindy. When he reached her, he caressed her cheek lightly and she shivered. 

   "Mine!" Was all he said before his lips met hers. I watched as the girl I practically raised as my younger sister got her first kiss before me. 

["Hahahahahaha virgin lips!" My wolf—Amanda—teased.

"Oh shut up would you!"

"Sore looser!"]

She said before she retreated to the back of my head, where she normally is. My wolf is a brown colored wolf with black patches on the tip of her ears and tail. She is bigger than a normal she wolf but I guess that's because I'm big. I think.

   I was brought out of my day dream when I heard my name.

    "This is my best friend Arabelle. She is like an older sister to me." The alpha squinted his eyes at me and I copied his actions. I extended my hand to him.

   "Arabelle Woode. Cindy's elder sister and best friend. I have a wide range of knives and know how to use them well. After all, I am a cook." I think he understood the fact that I was threatening him because he smiled and took my hand. 

     "Alpha Rodrick Black. Cindy's mate and life partner. I don't think there'd be any need for your blazing knife skills though. I'd never hurt Cindy intentionally."

["Awwww! He's so sweet."

"Do you trust him? Sniff his wolf out."

"His wolf is clean. He's trustworthy."

"Thanks girl."]

      "Well, Amanda thinks you're trustworthy."

    "Who is Amanda?"

    "Amanda is her wolf." Cindy answered for me. 

    "So, you're not gonna reject me?" Cindy asked him nervously. I narrowed my eyes at him, challenging him to reject her.

    "I don't care whether you're an omega or not. You're my perfect little red-head mate." I think they were about kiss again because of the way he was looking at her lips. I decided to give them five minutes privacy but if after five minutes he didn't come out, I'd go in there and pull him out by his ear. 

    Three minutes later, they both came out. Cindy was looking flushed while Alpha Black looked smug. Just for safety and protective best friend sake, I scanned her neck for the mate mark but didn't see any. I sniffed the air and she smelled the same. Phew! I was afraid I'd have to scold him for marking her in the kitchen. 

      "After the function tomorrow, I'm taking her back to my pack."

    "That's go—wait what? So soon?! But—but—" It's not like I'm not happy for her. It's just that I'm going to loose my best friend and sister figure to some dude after knowing her for 15 years. She's the only family I have left. 

     "Well, she's my mate and she can't stay here." 

     "Stop talking about me like I'm not here! I'm not going anywhere if Ara isn't coming with me. She needs me as much as I need her. Please let her come." She came over to hug me and wipe the tears from my eyes. 

     "Sure. She can come along. I'll talk to Jace about the transfer."

    "Oh thank you!" She hugged him. 

    "I've gotta go now. I'll be back for you love. Nice to meet you Ara." He pecked Cindy on her lip before walking away. I think I just saw fifty shades of red under an hour. 

    "Omg! Cindy I'm so happy for you! Eeeeeeeeee!" I squealed. 

    "You've had your first kiss before me. So not fair!" I pouted which made Cindy laugh.

     "So what it's like, kissing?"

     "It's the best feeling ever. His lips are so soft and they tasted like bacon. Mmm yummy!" I wiped my finger at the side of her mouth.  

    "I think there was some drool there." I teased which made her blush again. Great! The dude broke my friend and made her the Great Blushing Exhibit. 

We were still talking about kisses when Macy barged into the kitchen with a scowl on her face.

    "What are you two doing, lazying around? Are you trying to steal food?"

    "No! We were just leaving." I grabbed Cindy's hand to leave when Macy blocked the path. 

    "You guys did steal something didn't you?" 

    "We didn't. Just let us go."

     "No! I even heard that you almost dropped the food before you were googling at Alpha Black." This was directed at Cindy.

    "Uhh... I—" 

    "Whatever! I don't care about your reasons. Alpha Black could never be interested in someone like you anyway. He'd only be interested in someone like me, not a puny omega like you."

   I could feel my wolf at bay, trying to pounce on this witch. I was seeing red but I forced Ama to back down. This is Cindy's battle to fight. I glanced at Cindy and I was a little frightened. I could tell her wolf was at bay because her eyes was a swirl mixture of green and gold. I don't think I've ever seen her this angry before.

     "Watch your mouth Macy." Ella, Cindy's wolf spat. I think I just saw Macy gulp. 

    "You—you watch your mouth omega. I'm gonna go get my man now." Before she could walk away, Cindy shifted and lunged at Macy. She caught her by her leg and pulled her, digging her canines into her leg.

    "Arghhh! Jaceeeeeee! Let go of me!!!" I didn't want to help but if I didn't, Macy might probably have a chunk of her flesh missing. 

   "Ella!! Let Cindy back in control please!" She let go of her leg turned to me. I could see the swirl of green and gold meaning that Cindy was fighting her for control. Apparently, Ella won because her eyes became fully gold and she turned back to growl menacingly at Macy who was trying to drag herself away.

    You know how a predator circles her prey before pouncing and ripping it apart right? That's the same way Ella/Cindy is circling Macy. Before she could pounce on her though, Jace and the other alphas burst into the room. 

    "Macyyyyyy! Stand down Cindy!" Jace commanded but Ella didn't back down. Macy dragged her way to a shocked looking Alpha Black.

    "Alpha Black! Just look at what she did to me!" She laid her hand on his arm. I think that gesture made Alpha Black to snap out of his daze to see his furious mate speeding towards Macy. I don't think Ella appreciated Macy touching what's hers. 

    "Somebody stop her!" Jace yelled. Alpha Black stood in front of Cindy's raging wolf and said,

    "Baby calm down. It's me. Let Cindy take control. Please love." He stated caressing her fur, rubbing her to calm her down. The swirl mixture started again and this time, the green overpowered the gold. Immediately, Cindy shifted back and fell into Alpha Black's arms, unconscious.

     "Baby?! Love?! She's your mate?!" Macy cried hysterically. 

    "What did you do to her?!" Jace cried.

   "Nothing! I did nothing! She just attacked me because she's a crazy—" 

    "You do not want to finish that sentence." Alpha Black's eyes were also going through a swirl mixture. His wolf was at bay but I couldn't let him fight now. Cindy needs him now. 

    "Alpha Black, let's go from here. Take Cindy to your room. I'll join you shortly." He carried Cindy, who was dressed in his shirt, up to his room. I rushed to my room to get Cindy a change of clothes, just in case. 

I have never seen Cindy this mad. The last time she was close to this level of anger was when Jace called me a whore. He said that all the guys like me because I'm just a whore. When Cindy stumbled upon our conversation, she flipped. I thought that was intense but this, this was just wow! I hurried to the guest floor where all the guests reside. I sniffed out Cindy's scent and her scent led me to the room at the far end of the floor. I didn't bother to knock, knowing that nothing inappropriate would be going on. 

    "Alpha Black, how is she? Scoot over." She was looking horrible. She looked heartbroken and sick at the same time. I think what Macy said actually affected her than she'd like to admit. I needed to give her a shower then change her. I wasn't gonna do that with her mate in the room. 

    "I need to give her a shower then change her. I need you to leave."

   "No! I'm not going anywhere."

   "I'm not asking you to go. I'm telling you to go. Help me carry her into the tub. You can sit here if you want." 

   "Let me stay with her please."

  "I'm sorry but no. I don't want anything to happen that she's regret in the morning. You and I both know that if you come into the bathroom with her, something might happen that you will both possibly regret tomorrow. Just do as I say."

   "You are right. I'll wait outside." He carried her into the bathroom then left. I undressed her, getting ready to wash her when she opened her eyes and spoke in a raspy voice.

   "A—Ara?"

   "Yes baby I'm here."

   "I'm sorry."

   "Don't be. You did a brave thing. She totally deserved what you gave to her." She gasped.

   "What—What did I do?" 

   "Well, Ella took over and she almost bit off a chunk of Macy' leg. And when she touched your mate, she almost killed her. Your mate calmed you down in time so here we are." She groaned. 

   "Did she really touch him?"

   "Yes she did." Cindy let out a growl and I was afraid that Ella might take control again so I had to convince her, fast.

   "But—but Alpha Black was only concerned about you. He pushed her away. Don't worry about it."I washed her with her mate's body wash so she had like a musky minty smell. Before we could come out from the bathroom, Alpha Black called out to me, handing me his shirt.

   "Ara! Please, let her wear my shirt." I grabbed the shirt from the door and slipped it on a conscious Cindy. 

   "Mmm! He smells so good." She took a good, long whiff of his shirt and moaned in contention. I laughed, shaking my head at her.

    "Let's go meet your lover boy. He was so worried. I think the big bad alpha was about to go on his knees and beg me."

   "SHUT UP!" 

   "NUH UHHH! He was like 'oh please let me come in. I beg of you your highness'." I tried my best to imitate his voice. 

   "And I was like 'rise up servant. Do not kneel before me. She shan't see you now until the morrow'." I did my best Shakespearean imitation—gesture, accents, and everything—which earned a long hard laugh from Cindy.
