“So you believe in zodiac signs too huh?” His eyebrows raised in surprise as he looked at her in astonishment.

“Well, yes I do.”

“And horoscopes?” His lips twitched slightly, narrowing his eyes in disbelief.

“Yeah, but like….I don't let it entirely rule my life,” Luna pointed out matter-of-factly. Jayden nodded, chuckling lightly as he sipped his espresso.

Luna brought her coffee cup to her lips, the hot liquid burning her tongue. Her gaze lingered on Jayden, taking in his features.

His eyes fluttered closed as the rich aroma filled his senses, savouring the warmth. A stray lock of brown hair fell over his forehead, casting a small shadow as it fell over his eyes. A small sigh of contentment escaped his lips as he threw his head back slightly and his sharp jawline relaxed, softening his rugged features for a moment.

“It's been nice talking to you, Jayden. It feels good to just take a break from work and just have a cup of coffee with someone.” Luna said, smiling at him. A small fr

Who is this person?” Luna asked, her voice laced with astonishment. She laughed. “It’s you, silly! You look gorgeous.” Luna's gaze stayed fixed on her reflection, taking in the elegant dress, the subtle yet noticeable makeup, and the intricate braids that framed her face. She looked polished, refined and…utterly unrecognisable. She reached out a tentative hand to touch her reflection as if to confirm that it was her. Sophia handed her a pair of earrings, which Luna put on, still in a daze as she stared at her reflection.“Wow, Sophia, I don't can't even recognize my face,” Luna replied excitedly but a little scared.Beaming with pride, she replied elatedly. “That’s the point! I must say, I did a pretty neat job. Maybe I should become a make-up artist.” Luna’s eyes met hers in the mirror, her left brow raised. “Really?” Sophia laughed, nudging

George took a step closer, his gaze roaming over her face, drinking in the sight of her. His eyes blazed with an intensity that made her skin tingle. Luna felt a shiver run down her spine as his stare lingered on her lips. He took in every detail and his gaze felt like a caress, tracing the curve of her neck and the swell of her hips. “God, you're stunning,” he whispered, his voice low and seductive. Luna felt intimidated as he slowly walked closer to her, making her feel like a prey. Her heart raced as he looked at her with an unnerving focus and she felt exposed, vulnerable, yet unable to look away. She tried to step back, but her trembling feet seemed rooted to the spot. “Ah, Luna, I'm so sorry again for spilling that drink on you,” George said as he reached out to brush a strand of hair behind her ear. His fingers grazed her skin, and his touch sent sparks coursing through her veins.“It's…It's okay,” she stammered. He smiled and his eyes stayed fixed on hers, drawing her in

Luna rested her hands on the large table that stretched across the conference room, leaning forward as her employees gave her their report.“Our properties at Atlanta, Macon and Augusta have been thoroughly checked. No signs of gas leaks, bad wiring, tampered cameras or a break-in,” the manager concluded wearily, stemming from the fatigue of checking buildings day after day. With her eyes closed, Luna nodded in satisfaction, “Mmm, what about those in Bronswell and Dahlonega?” The manager seemed to know that she would ask that question as his lips curled up into a small smile. “Everything’s in order ma'am.”Luna pinched her eyes–an action she did whenever she was tired or frustrated–and let out a sigh, “You all have done a great job. Considering how hard you've all been working, our check-ups will now be weekly,” the faces of her employees lit up with joy at the news.“Seeing as there aren't any issues regarding the rest of our properties, we'll go back to the normal routine check-up

George slumped into the plush couch in his sitting room, as the fading evening light cast a warm orange glow through the windows. Across from him, Alexander settled into the armchair, his eyes fixed intently on George's weary face. “Man…you look like shit,” Alex mused.George narrowed his eyes, his lips pressed into a thin line as he shot him a glare. “You try apologising to your ex-wife who thinks you betrayed and cheated her all those years ago,” he remarked, his voice rising slightly.Alex's expression turned apologetic as he scratched his head nervously. George hissed, tapping his foot anxiously on the cold tile floor.“Yeah, sorry about that. Why don't you try being honest with her about your feelings and past mistakes? Try explaining to her why you did what you did,” He shrugged and reached out to grab the TV remote on the table. George clenched his eyes closed as he silently seethed, resisting the urge to punch Alex in the face. Letting out a sharp breath, he got up swiftly f
