I must have looked so good in my garments because, even Damien commented that I had dressed too sharp and nice for the occasion.

It wasn't my fault. I was celebrating while he was mourning.

The panel in this place consisted of Alphas from the east, west, north, and south. They sat according to their level of education and knowledge of the pack's law.

Everything and everyone was so organized, except for one person who was not present. Alpha Leo was not there and I wondered why.

He was so enthusiastic about coming here yesterday that we had celebrated our victory over a glass of wine, and now, he wasn't here. Something was definitely wrong somewhere.

"Looking for the Alpha King?" Damien sneaked up on me and I almost jerked up.

Within seconds, I relaxed and reclined back into my seat.

"You scared me for a moment. Yes, I was searching with my eyes. He is the person to give the verdict." I said, trying to sound reasonable at the same time, unsuspicious.
