She lifted her head from Damon’s chest to look at Alan. “I told you to give me space ! I didn’t want you starting a war !”

A hand grabbed her by the shoulder and jerked her around, bringing her face to raging, venomous face with her dad. “Tell me this isn’t true!” he demanded, practically foaming at the mouth. “We’ve been worried sick about you all this time, and this is where you draw the line ? With them? Letting this… Lauchair's filth violate you?”

A lot of angry grumbles and curses started coming from all directions, and she heard the word “traitor” flung by a few of them.
