CHAPTER 33

Waiting sucked.

That’s all there was to it. She was glad that there was a plan in place to get Hazel out of there, but she couldn’t stand that there was nothing she could do to contribute to it. Down there she was completely cut off, with no way of knowing how things were going. She didn’t know if the plan had been put into motion yet, or how far along it might be, or if anything was going wrong. And of course, as she had pointed out, there was no end to things that could go wrong.

Hell, she wouldn’t know anything until that door opened and Damon came in to whisk me away, by which point the plan would already have been completed. Or until someone else came in, like Alan or Shadow . At which point she could probably assume it had all gone to hell in a hand basket.
