ELISE'S POV

The long drive to Ferris’s pack felt like a dream. I couldn't believe I actually left my pack. I was free. I never thought I'd ever leave. It had been my home.

I leaned back in the seat, gazing out the window as the scenery gradually changed. The world outside grew greener and even more lovely.

When we finally crossed into Ferris’s territory, I felt it instantly—a shift in the air. The place revealed hills, forests, and sparkling rivers that made their way through the valleys. The sunlight shone on the surface of the water, creating a reflection of light and shadow that took my breath away.

“This place is... it’s beautiful,” I murmured, unable to tear my eyes away from the view.

Ferris smiled “Welcome to my pack, Elise. This is home.”

Home. The word warmed something inside me. It had been so long since I felt truly at home anywhere, not even in my own pack, but here, in this place, I hoped I could find somewhere where I truly belonged.
