Chapter 52

FERRIS' POV

By the time I got to the place I assumed Elise was, the storm was in full swing. The rain was heavy and so was the wind. On my way here, I shifted into my Lucan form.

The ground was slick beneath my paws, making every step slippery, but I refused to slow down. Elise was out here somewhere, and I wasn’t going to let anything stand in my way.

I had shifted into my Lycan form as soon as I left Jackson’s house, hoping that my heightened senses would make it easier to track her. But the storm was making it nearly impossible. Her scent was faint, mingling with the wet earth and the rain. The rain was washing away any traces she might have left behind. I couldn't navigate the place quite well.

“Damn it, Elise, where are you?” I growled to myself.

This was Gina's fault. What the hell was her problem? Why couldn't she send one of the guards to get the flower? Why did it have to be Elise?
