SHAWNA

I never imagined that life would be this easy and beautiful. Liam showed me a side of life I never knew existed, he has been showering me with nothing but pure love.

I turned off my phone for two days. Yes, I've been here for two days and I've not had any communication with the outside world except to call my kids and mother at night just so they'd know I'm still alive.

Liam has been more than good to me and life is just very easy with him. I've been happy and undeniably glowing, it's just so obvious.

I'm currently in his arms which has been my favorite position since two days ago. His arms are synonymous with comfort, I can stay here forever.

I'm now confused as to why I've never felt this way about him, I've always looked at him like my friend and nothing more. This side of him is one I've never seen or experienced before.

He pressed a soft kiss to my forehead, his phone in his hands. The phone was right before me and it's almost like we were operating the phone together even

SHAWNAA scream tore out of my mouth as she fell against me, her blood leaking into me too. The sight looked so terrifying, coupled with the fact that her eyes were almost closing.“Hey, hey, you have to stay with me. You can't close your eyes, keep them open." I tried to make her stay awake, she looked like she'd pass out anytime soon, and she eventually did.Her eyes closed despite how hard she seemed to have kept them open. I turned to look at Liam with a look of shock on my face.“I don't think she's breathing again, please check her out, she's no longer responding to me, what's going on?" Tears have already filled my eyes.“Let's get her to the hospital already, they'll know what to do." He responded and took her from me.He already unlocked the car with his keys so I just opened the door normally and got into the back seat while he went to the driver's seat. She had her head on me while the other parts of her body stayed on the car seat. Liam started the car almost immediately a

DAMIENI resisted the urge to throw this shitty device against the wall, it's very useless as it is. Why the fuck hasn't she been answering my calls?I've been calling Shawna since two days ago now but it's like her phone number doesn't exist or something. I've been so infuriated since we parted ways two days ago because I've not been able to reach her.Could she have blocked me? But Shawna isn't the type that'll just chicken out this way because of a misunderstanding, she'd never block someone because of that.I dialed her number again and I was directed straight to voicemail like I've always been for two days now.“Where are you, Shawna? What's going on with you?"At this point, I'll just show up at her doorstep without any notice now since she has refused to pick up my calls or return them. But what if something is wrong and she has just not been able to pick up my calls because she can't and she's not ignoring me?“Shit, how did I never think about that?" She could be in danger ri

SHAWNAThose words came from the television and they left my head reeling with different things. I looked at Damien who looked more shocked than I was, his eyes glued to the television. As if he felt my eyes on him, he looked away from the television and looked at me.“I swear it's not how it looks like, this isn't true." He said.If there's anything everyone knows, it has to be that only real things are broadcast on television.“Fuck you, Damien," I said through gritted teeth then stormed out of his house, ignoring his calls for me. I was more mad at myself than I was at him, how could I have fallen for one of his tricks again? He just wanted to mock me.I should have just stayed at home, or better still kept ignoring his calls instead of disgracing myself that way. He's getting married to Eugene, it's even clearer now that it has been announced on television. He must have planned it in a way that the restaurant would be impossible for us to talk in then we'll have to come to his hou

DAMIENShawna's children didn't only send me away, the triplets themselves didn't make their distaste about seeing me at their doorstep hidden. They successfully sent me away and I couldn't even do anything because they were right, all I do is make their mother cry. They already see me as a bad person as it is, someone who only knows how to hurt their mum. This isn't even a transfer of aggression but something that had to be done. She has done enough and should be stopped at the point, she might be pregnant but I'm never taking responsibility for it or getting married to her. DAMIEN“I'm not reverting anything, do you think I'll get married to someone who's so schemy as that? She formed that pregnancy as a way of setting me up, I didn't impregnate her willingly."The fury that was thrumming through me was so hard that I crushed the phone in my hand, definitely leaving s crack on the screen.“That doesn't matter for now, just take care of this mess and get this bad publicity away from us, we're at the stake of losing everything we've built for years because of you." He growled.“Then we should be looking for other ways to tackle this, not bending to her whims, we're not weak dad, we've never been weak. We should stand up for ourselves.”I just needed a way to divert his attention away from the marriage stuff, I just can't get married to Eugene, I badly don't want to.She has been getting away with a lot of things and it's high time we put a permanent end to this. We never had problems with any company up until now when she assumed the position of the heires

EUGENE“So, what I think we should do is to analyze their sales and then we'll see where we go from there.” My assistant rambled off while I had my legs on my desk and my eyes focused on my nails.I'm currently painting them and one single mistake can ruin them, I don't want that to happen, might even snap at her if she allows what she's saying to disrupt this painting.“Ma'am, is that fine by you?" Her voice got to my ears and I had to look up, that was after I had made sure the brush was off my nails.“Do anything you think is good." I shrugged, it's not like I understand a word of what she has been talking about and I don't think I want to stress myself about knowing things about business.I mean, what's the use of an assistant if she can't make decisions like these? I just want to sign whatever she brings, bask in the public attention then get the money and influence this position brings.“But I need to know your response about this, we need a direct response before we proceed wit

DAMIEN“Will you marry me, Eugene?"She squealed, a squeal so loud that I almost covered my ears. Then she ran over to me and stretched out her hand at me.“Yes, yes, yes." She said continuously.I slid the ring to her finger and stood up, she immediately jumped on me, still squealing. I resisted the urge to tell her to shut the fuk up already, my ears were almost ringing.“Thank you so much, I didn't expect this." She said into my ears. I did my arms in a way that she just had to come off my body and she did.Camera sounds and the flashes from them made me compose myself, knowing that any gesture could be misinterpreted as something, so I had to play along.Different reporters soon started asking us questions, there were so many that there was no way we could hear any of them’s questions properly.“Did you reject her proposal as a form of surprise before?”"For how long have you two been dating?”"Is there anything you want the public to know?”The question goes on, I didn't even hav

KYLE“Oh, yeah, just like that." The whore above me groaned, she's currently grinding me, going in that motion that only females enjoy while I just lay there. When I saw that she reached orgasm through that, I was even generous enough to have allowed her to reach orgasm, I switched positions and had her underneath me.She moaned at how rough I was handling her, I just started thrusting into her immediately, not minding that she just reached orgasm.Just as I was about to reach orgasm, my phone started ringing, slightly diverting my attention. If I saw the person calling me physically now, I'd shoot them in the head.I ignored the call and continued thrusting into her, reaching my orgasm. The phone had stopped ringing but it started again almost immediately. With an angry growl, I got off the lady and pulled out of her warm clit. I angrily picked up the phone and picked up the call, it's one of my men calling. He better have a valid reason for calling me or he's ready to die.The call

SHAWNAI followed Damien out of the boardroom, my heels clicking against the marble floor as I sighed exaggeratedly. "I feel like all we do is attend parties," I complained, shaking my head. "First, it was the gala, then the investor's dinner, and now we have to prepare for the annual company ball?"Damien chuckled, adjusting his cufflinks as we walked. "Well, at least we’ve stopped running around dealing with crises. I’d say that’s progress.""If you say so," I muttered, though I wasn’t entirely convinced. "Three days is such short notice. I don’t even have a dress yet.""Oh no, whatever will you do?" Damien teased, smirking. "It’s not like you have an entire wardrobe filled with designer dresses."I rolled my eyes. "You don’t understand. The annual company ball is different. Everything has to be perfect. It’s not just about looking nice, it’s about making a statement. People notice everything."Damien chuckled, clearly amused by my dilemma. "Shawna, you could show up in a garbage ba

PHOEBEThe moment I saw him, I didn’t even think. “Ramon?”His head snapped up, his dark eyes narrowing as they locked onto mine. “Phoebe?”I stepped closer, weaving through the line of applicants as a few people turned to watch. Ramon looked like he wanted to disappear. “What are you doing here?” I asked, still in disbelief. He crossed his arms. “I should be asking you that. What, are you stalking me now?”I rolled my eyes. “Oh please. I work here.”His brows shot up. “You? What could you possibly be doing here? Applying for a job you don’t need?” His lips curled into a smirk. “Figured you’d get bored of spending Daddy’s money eventually.”I laughed, shaking my head. “No, actually. I’m not here for an interview because this is my company.”The amusement in his expression vanished. “What?”“This…” I gestured around the office space “is my company. Lance Industry. I built it after I finished school.”Ramon stared at me for a second, his mouth slightly open as if trying to decide whethe

PHOEBEI sighed, rubbing my temples as I tried to explain everything to my parents. “Ramon left… angrily,” I said softly, still feeling guilty.Mom frowned, sitting up a little. “Angrily? Why?”I bit my lip, trying to find the right words. “Because when we got to the hospital… the police thought he had kidnapped me.”Dad’s face darkened instantly. “What?”“They arrested him right there at the entrance,” I admitted, my voice laced with frustration. “They didn’t even ask questions. They just assumed the worst because of how he looked.”Mom gasped. “Phoebe… that’s horrible.”I nodded. “I tried explaining that he saved me, that he was just helping, but they wouldn’t listen at first. It took a lot of convincing before they finally let him go.”Dad ran a hand down his face. “So that’s why he left upset.”Later that evening, mom was discharged and she told me to lead them to Ramon’s place. As soon as we pulled up in front of Ramon’s house, I could already tell this was a mistake. The place w

PHOEBEMy hands trembled as I read the messages over and over again, my vision blurring with panic. My heart pounded against my ribs. Mom had passed out because of me. My mother was in the hospital.I stumbled to my feet, grabbing Ramon’s arm. “Take me to the hospital. Now.”Ramon frowned, his hands still stuffed in his pockets. “What?”“My mom—she’s in the hospital. I need to get there,” I choked out, barely able to breathe. His face shifted slightly, from irritation to something else. Concern? Annoyance? I couldn’t tell. “What happened?”“Because of me!” I snapped. “She passed out because I left. Please, Ramon. Just take me there.”He exhaled sharply but grabbed his keys. “Fine. Let’s go.”The ride to the hospital was silent except for the rapid beating of my heart in my ears. I kept my eyes on my phone, but I couldn’t bring myself to text my brothers back. I was too scared of what they might say.As soon as we arrived at the hospital parking lot, I barely waited for the car to stop

PHOEBERamon led me into his house, and I immediately took in the small but neat living room. It wasn’t extravagant, but it had a cozy, lived-in feel. A dark brown couch sat against one wall, a small television across from it. A few shelves held books and random trinkets. The scent of coffee and something faintly musky lingered in the air."Nice place," I said sincerely, turning to face him.I watched as Ramon scoffed, tossing his helmet onto the couch with a careless thud. His place was small but neat, dimly lit by a single overhead bulb. The faint scent of leather and motor oil clung to the air, a stark contrast to the floral and citrus-scented halls of my home.“Don’t flatter me, princess,” he muttered, running a hand through his dark hair. “I’ve been to your house. One of your bedrooms is bigger than this entire place.”I blinked at the bitterness in his tone. “That’s not what I meant. I was just—”“Just what?” He turned to face me fully, arms crossed, eyes dark with something unr

SHAWNAI paced the living room, my arms wrapped around myself as I stared at the phone in my hand. The call had gone straight to voicemail. Again."She's not picking up," I whispered, my throat tightening. "Her phone is off."Jasper frowned, his own phone pressed to his ear. "Mine too. She's not answering anyone."I turned to my husband, my chest constricting. "This was a mistake, wasn’t it? I never should’ve let her leave. I should’ve stopped her."My voice cracked, and before I could hold back, tears spilled down my face. My husband, Damien, was beside me in an instant, pulling me into his arms."Shawna, she’ll be fine," Damien assured me, rubbing slow circles on my back. His voice was calm, but I could feel the tension in his muscles, the worry he was trying so hard to suppress. "Phoebe’s smart. She’s strong.""But she’s alone!" I pulled back, my voice rising despite my best efforts to keep it steady. My heart pounded against my ribs, my hands trembling as I clutched at his shirt.

PHOEBEThe men laughed, their cruel amusement echoing in the dark alley. My breath came in shallow gasps as I took another step back, but there was nowhere to go."You really thought someone would help you?" the stocky one sneered. "You’re in the wrong part of town, sweetheart. No one’s coming."The tallest one cracked his knuckles again, his grin widening. "Might as well stop screaming. Save your energy."Panic clawed at my chest. My heart hammered as they advanced."No! Get away from me!" I screamed, thrashing as hands grabbed my arms. I kicked my foot connecting with someone’s shin. He cursed, but another pair of hands yanked at my jacket. I felt the fabric rip, the cold air hitting my skin as my shirt followed.Terror surged through me. "Please, stop! Let me go!"A deafening roar filled the alley. Not a scream. Not a shout. An engine. A motorcycle. The hands-on me hesitated, just for a second, before a blur of movement shot through the dimly lit alley.A figure in black jumped off

PHOEBEBilly grabbed my arm as I zipped up my suitcase. "Phoebe, think this through. You’re acting reckless."I yanked my arm free. "No, I’m acting like an adult who’s tired of being treated like a child. I need space. I need to breathe."Jasper crossed his arms, his face unreadable. "And you think running off in the middle of the night is the way to do that?""I don’t care what you think," I shot back, dragging my suitcase toward the door. "I’m leaving tonight."Shawna stepped in front of me, her eyes pleading. "Phoebe, please. At least wait until morning. It’s late, and—""No." I shook my head, my grip tightening around the suitcase handle. "If I don’t go now, you guys will find a way to guilt me into staying. And I refuse to be guilt-tripped any longer."Everyone fell silent. I could see it in their faces—hurt, frustration, helplessness. For a split second, my resolve wavered. Then I reminded myself why I was doing this. I needed to be on my own. I needed to live my life without th

PHOEBEJasper stiffened, his expression darkening. Billy’s mouth fell slightly open, and for a second, there was only silence. Then Jasper’s voice, low and sharp, cut through the tension. "Are you serious right now, Phoebe?"I crossed my arms. "Yes, I’m serious. You both act like I need a full-time security detail when I’m just trying to live my life. But I wasn’t the one who got kidnapped, was I?"Billy let out a short, disbelieving laugh, but there was no humor in it. "Wow. That’s low, even for you."Jasper took a step closer, his eyes blazing. "You think just because it didn’t happen to you, it didn’t affect you? It affected all of us, Phoebe. We almost lost Billy! And if you had been in the wrong place that day, it could’ve been you."I scoffed. "But it wasn’t. And yet, here we are, years later, and I’m the one being treated like a prisoner!"Billy shook his head, his hands on his hips. "You don’t get it, do you? We’re not overprotective because we want to control you. We’re like
