When Amelia returned to Riverbay Residence, Liam still hadn't come back yet. However, it didn't bother Amelia in the least.

"I told Alex to halt her plan when she came to see me last time. You don't have to do anything for me either."

"So you're not divorcing him now?" Eric asked, concerned.

Amelia shook her head. "No, it's just that I don't have a say in this divorce at all. I can't do what I want."

A moment later, he apologized, "Sorry, I wish I could help you more. I thought I was strong enough to lend you a hand. But when he targeted me, I was powerless."

Amelia consoled Eric, "No need to apologize. You're not weak. Liam's made sure that I don't get to ever divorce him. That's why you couldn't help me."
