"Last night, she didn't come home. When my parents called her, she said she was meeting a friend. But as the night went on, there was still no sign of her. When they tried calling again, no one answered." Hannah explained.

Amelia felt a knot of worry in her stomach.

She tried to figure out what might have happened to Leona, and the thought crossed her mind that the friend Leona mentioned could be Liam.

But Liam hadn't gone anywhere the night before!

Amelia felt like Leona's call yesterday was about meeting up with Liam. She wondered why they couldn't just talk on the phone instead of having to meet so late.
