Liam watched as Amelia returned to her room. Her words echoed in his ears as he clenched his fists.

The pain in Liam's chest didn't go away either.

He sighed bitterly but didn't call out to Amelia.

After he had landed that punch, Liam noticed that Amelia was injured.

He had felt both distressed and anxious to tend to her wounds. However, when he touched her face, another thought crossed his mind.

If Amelia were disfigured because of this, it would even things out with the Lancaster family. And most importantly, she could leave the entertainment industry and return to him if she got disfigured.

Liam knew this idea was selfish, but it consumed him like an obsession.

If Amelia stopped acting, she could stay with him all the time. He would ensure she had no chance to meet other men.

If she lost her career with Astra because of her disfigurement, it would also appease the Lancaster family, and that would be punishment enough. They wouldn't hold onto this matter any longer.
