Etizia’s POV
The first time I experienced love was after I ran away from home.
After leaving Esquar Pack, I had to blend into human society. To support myself, I resorted to selling fruits in the market.
One fateful day, a charming man approached me and confidently said, "You're an Omega, aren't you?"
With just one glance, I could tell he was a werewolf.
"I've been wondering where that delightful scent was coming from. And it's you," the werewolf said, flashing an enticing smile.
Although it was a brief encounter, that's how it all began.
I fell head over heels for the handsome werewolf, who introduced himself as Timothy, a rogue residing in the forest.
I thought I had finally found my happily ever after. However, Timothy eventually left me.
“I found my mate, Etizia. I am sorry. I can’t be with you anymore,” Timothy said, hanging his head in sorrow.
Crying, I held his hand and said, “You told me that you don’t care about the bond. That even if you found your mate, you’ll stay with me! What about that promise?”
Timothy released my hands and gazed deeply into my eyes. "I believed things would stay the same. But I've come to understand that no one can avoid their fate. This is mine, Etizia. And my fate doesn't include you."
With those words, he disappeared.
I never imagined I would encounter the rogue who rejected me down. Honestly, I hoped to never see him again.
But fate is cruel.
Our fate is indeed an art of the devil.
Right now, Timothy was standing right in front of me again. It hit me hard how many lies he had told me in the past.
First off, his hair wasn't black, it was silver. Second, he wasn't a rogue but the older brother of the Alpha King, Nox. And the worst part? He was now my brother-in-law.
I was at a loss for how to react. It felt like the world had stopped, and it was just the two of us.
The pain slowly crept in, heartbreak resurfacing as I watched him stare at me in shock.
Silence enveloped us.
I thought it would last forever until a sweet scent reached my nose and footsteps approached.
"Etizia?" a deep voice called out to me.
A shadow cast a dark veil over me, blocking the warm sunlight from my face. As I gazed upwards, a tall figure emerged, wearing a majestic golden mask.
Recognition dawned on me as I realized it was none other than my husband, the Alpha King, Nox.
Nox's piercing gaze met mine, causing my fingers to twitch and my breath to hitch in my throat.
Timothy is a past lover. But why did I suddenly feel guilty, as if I had committed a grave mistake? Was it the fear of facing the wrath of the Alpha King once he discovered my past with his brother?
However, as I observed closely, I noticed that Nox's icy stare was not directed at me. Instead, his eyes were fixed on my maid.
“I apologize!” at the same time, the maid exclaimed an apology and suddenly went on her knees. “I did a poor job assisting the Luna. Please forgive me, Alpha King,” Hany went on.
Perplexed, I furrowed my brows as I observed Hany. The sight of her apologizing had left me utterly bewildered.
It wasn't until I noticed Nox staring at my feet that I understood the reason behind her apology.
I glanced down at my own feet and let out a gasp of realization.
Ah, yes. I had been running around without any shoes on.
Nox must have been furious with me for behaving so recklessly. Perhaps I should apologize for my foolishness.
However, before I could utter a word of remorse, Nox swiftly snatched my shoes from Hany and positioned himself in front of me.
"I will not tolerate a second mistake," Nox declared sternly. "If you allow my Luna to injure her feet again, there will be consequences, Hany."
Perplexed, I observed as Nox carefully wiped off the dust from my shoes and placed them in front of me. To my surprise, he then pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket.
Unexpectedly, Nox took hold of my foot and began cleaning it with his handkerchief! I couldn't believe it - the Alpha King himself was cleaning my feet?
"No," I protested. "Let me take care of it myself."
I attempted to retrieve my foot, but Nox held onto it firmly, refusing to let go. Slowly, he lifted his gaze.
His mesmerizing crimson eyes locked onto mine. The sunlight cast a radiant glow on his face, and although his golden mask concealed much of his features, I couldn't help but be captivated.
Was it because this was the first time we saw each other again after our wedding night?
“Now tell me, my Luna,” he said, “Why did you run like that without your shoes? Is there something worth seeing in this place?”
That question made me realize what I had forgotten. My gaze instinctively shifted towards Timothy, who was now glaring at us with a cold expression.
Nox continued to inquire, "What made you run like that?" He finished dusting off my feet and placed my shoes back on.
After Nox stood up, his shadow cast over me once again. I tightly gripped the fold of my skirt and looked at him. "I apologize," I said.
"I don't remember asking you to make an apology," he replied. "I wanted an explanation, Etizia."
I tried my hardest not to glance at Timothy and replied, "I noticed that everyone was really busy at your castle. It made me curious. Hany told me that we have some visitors, who happen to be my brother-in-law and his wife. I really wanted to meet them, so I got carried away and ran without my shoes."
"I understand," Nox said. He flashed me a grin and suggested, "You must be feeling a bit suffocated being here without meeting new people. Now that you're here, how about we welcome the guests together?"
The thought of greeting Timothy alongside my husband made my heart race with anxiousness.
Nox then extended his hand towards me and asked, "Shall we?"
I glanced at his outstretched hand, and then my eyes involuntarily shifted towards Timothy.
‘You are now the Luna of all Lunas. What is there to be afraid of? You should show Timothy what he missed out on when he turned you down!' my wolf encouraged, filling me with courage.
With determination, I took hold of my husband's hand and replied, "Sure, let's go meet them."
Hand in hand with the Alpha King, I confidently approached Timothy and his wife.
Etizia’s POV I took a deep breath and stood confidently in front of Timothy, with Nox by my side. It had taken a great deal of bravery for me to finally look up and meet his gaze. As I did, I noticed that Timothy's face mirrored my own expression; a strained attempt to remain composed. "Hello, Alpha King," Timothy's wife, a stunning woman, greeted us. Her words prompted Timothy and me to avoid each other's eyes. "It's been quite a while since I last visited," she said, her eyes locked onto mine. Her smile appeared pleasant, but it made me feel uneasy. "And now, I see the Luna. It brings me joy to return, doesn't it, Timothy?" Timothy remained silent, his gaze shifting downwards as he let out a sigh. To my surprise, it was my husband, Nox, who spoke up instead. "It's been quite a while, hasn't it? We just reunited after marrying our respective mates." Observing the two of them, I couldn't help but notice that their smiles didn't quite reach their eyes. They appeared far from ha
Etizia’s POV In the dining hall of the Alpha King’s castle, my heart raced like a horse in full gallop. This was the first time I sat down to dine with my husband and to add to the tension, my ex-boyfriend and his wife were also present. Thankfully, only my ex and I were aware of our shared history. I noticed Timothy stealing glances at me from across the table. To avoid any suspicion from Nox, I kept my gaze fixed elsewhere. As the dishes arrived, I was bewildered to spot my favorites. Was it just a coincidence? ‘There’s no way my husband prepared my favorite foods while knowing that,’ I pondered, glancing at his side profile. The four of us sat in a heavy silence as we began to eat, the only noise coming from the clinking of silverware. In the quiet atmosphere, I glanced around at the group. Clearly, nobody was interested in engaging in conversation over the meal. That’s when my eyes settled on Timothy. ‘He told me he was a lone wolf, but he's actually the Alpha King's br
Etizia’s POV What will happen if Timothy and his wife decide to live here? I might live here with constant fear of getting caught. Although Timothy and I broke up, that won’t reassure me that my husband will be fine. I might really die when it happens. ‘Please. Don’t torment me any longer,’ I prayed to the Goddess of the Moon. My steps halted, and the hand that was intertwined with mine slipped away. My focus shifted from my deep contemplations to my husband. He guided me out of the dining area, and only then did I realize my surroundings. As I glanced around, we found ourselves in the garden. Without turning around, Nox expressed his gratitude, "I appreciate you accompanying me to welcome my guests." I gazed at his strong, broad shoulder. “But there's no need for that. I'll handle our guests," he said. Now that we're alone, it seems like he's dropped the act of being my loving husband. It was all just a show, after all. "I'll head back to my office," Nox muttered as he
Etizia’s POV How much time did he spend waiting for me? How many hours did he sit on the bench just to catch a glimpse of my face? Has he been doing this every single day since he arrived in this place? These thoughts swirling in my mind made me realize that I haven't completely moved on from this man. And perhaps that's why I found myself frozen in place, unable to take my eyes off him. Luckily, I noticed the ring on his finger, which prompted me to glance down at my own ring. "Snap out of it, Etizia. You and him are both married," warned Genivie, my wolf. I exhaled and shifted my gaze towards the North. "I heard that you and your wife recently moved here, brother-in-law. I hope you both have a pleasant stay. Well then, I must be on my way." I took a step forward. But Timothy obstructed my path. "Where are you going?" he inquired. I forced a smile and replied, "I don't believe it's my responsibility to disclose my destination to you." "Indeed, it isn't. I was simply curio
Etizia’s POV “Who made you cry?” Nox’s questions sharpened all my senses. I felt the rising tide of fear from my head to toe. With my paralyzed legs, I looked at my husband, who caught me crying over another man. I was unable to run away. The Alpha King leaned closer. His hand wrapped around my waist, and he pulled me. Once a close contact was made, his lips went near my ear. “You have the scent of another male wolf. Was it him who made you cry?” he whispered. SHIT. DO I SMELL LIKE TIMOTHY? “What did he do?” My husband murmured. “Do you want me to punish the bastard who made you in this mess? Just say a word.” Fear coursed through my veins like a dark river as I pulled away. "I saw your brother," I confessed, my heart pounding in my chest. Inside, I was screaming as Nox took a step back and locked eyes with me. "I was heading outside when I... when I ran into Timothy," I continued, the words spilling out. "We talked about the rogue wolf who rejected me. Timothy didn't do a
Etizia’s POVI had hoped that venturing into the world of humans would finally reveal my husband's face concealed behind his mask. Yet, Alpha Nox remained adamant, refusing to unveil himself and opting to keep the mask on as we ventured out to the mall. The car was parked outside, with Dominic already outside waiting for us as Nox and I remained seated in the back.Feeling uneasy, I stole glances at him.It will be impossible not to receive stares and whispers from those who will be around us, all curious about this man in the mask. Thus, I mustered up my courage and took a deep breath before turning my head towards him. With a soft voice, I whispered his name, accompanied by his endearing title, "Alpha Nox."In response, Nox tilted his head towards me, his gaze fixed upon mine."Um, well, you see, we're in the human society. I can't help but wonder if it's safe for you to walk around with a mask covering your face," I nervously expressed. My heart raced, fearing his potential anger.
Etizia’s POV When I awoke, I found my husband gazing intently at my face, his eyes resembling vibrant rubies. He remained frozen in place, seemingly unable to budge, as if I caught him trying to kiss me while I was asleep. Well, yeah. I also couldn't deny the truth. With such a small distance separating us and the intoxicating aroma of my mate enveloping the air, I felt an overwhelming urge to draw him nearer and taste his lips. It was the undeniable bond we shared as mates that fueled this longing. However, I had to resist. I couldn't allow this desire to consume me. Perhaps Nox's peculiar behavior was influenced by our mate bond. Could it be that he is drawn to my scent, explaining why he nearly kissed me? Curious and also excited to know the answer, I asked him, "What are you up to?" My words seemed to jolt him back to reality, causing Nox to distance himself. "I was just about to wake you up," he replied, leaving me feeling a tad disheartened. I couldn't quite fathom why
Etizia’s POV I flopped down on the couch in my room. My cheeks were still on fire. "Why is it so warm in here?" Even splashing cold water on my face didn't seem to cool me down, and I'm pretty sure I still look like a tomato. Ugh. I tilted my head back and nibbled on my lip. The vibe earlier was just so odd. I knew I had good communication with my husband. But for him to flash me such a sweet smile out of nowhere? I was so awkward. We just said goodbye in front of the castle without saying a word. "I wonder what that was all about," I whispered to myself, but there was no answer. My heart was still racing, refusing to calm down. Nox and I are mates after all, so it's not surprising that I might feel drawn to him every now and then. I couldn't help but fidget as his smiling face kept popping up in my mind. I shook my head and let out a deep breath. "Is it really impossible to against destiny?" Nox and I were destined by the Goddess of the Moon. I used to think that love
Nox’s Point of View“Ask someone to deliberately tell to my father that we have the same mother,” my pregnant mate suddenly asked me a ridiculous request.“What?” I gasped.Etizia looked at me with determination in her eyes and said, "My Alpha, I want you to put an end to Alpha Quinn. Can you make that happen?""I already have a plan to take care of him. But why the rush?"Etizia proceeded to share what she had discovered from her father. It was then that I learned about the history between my mother and Etizia's mother, how they had become friends.Upon hearing the truth, all I could think about was going to Esquar and eliminating Quinn! However, Etizia stopped me. "I also wanted to personally kill Alpha Quinn. But first, we need a strategy to win over the Alphas from other Packs."She was right. I needed a valid reason to take down Quinn. So, I followed my wife's advice and set a trap for him.Only a few days after, Beta Dominic came to me and said, “Alpha. The Elders are on their wa
Etizia’s Point of View“When I learned that you are still alive, I went to search for Madeline who took care of you when you were a child. It was her who told me the story of the past,” my father, Harry, said. After knowing how my mother lived an awful live in the hands of ruthless Alpha like Victor and Quinn, I was filled with intense anger.‘And now, I feel thankful that Nox killed his father and avenge both Luna Jasmine and my mother.’But if there’s someone I pity the most, it is my father who lived his life longing for my mom to come back.“Dad, thank you so much,” I said.My dad met my eyes.“For being with me now, and for recognizing me as my mom’s daughter.”Dad smiled at me, but there’s still a hint of sadness in his eyes, and I totally get why.“Mom did her best to protect me and you. Perhaps, it was her dream for us to live happily forever.”I stood up and held my father’s hand. “So, why don’t we fulfill mom’s wishes?”“Aren’t we already living a good life?” he inquired.“W
Harry approached the female wolf who had appeared out of nowhere, holding a letter in her mouth."What's this?" he asked, curious about the unexpected delivery.Madeline, the wolf who had fulfilled a dying wish, replied with a hint of deception, "I'm not sure. Someone gave it to me and told me to give it to you."With her task completed, Madeline bid farewell to Harry and left.Perplexed, Harry opened the letter and was immediately overcome with emotion as he recognized the familiar handwriting. Tears welled up in his eyes."This is Emilia's letter," he whispered, his voice trembling.Suppressing his anxiety, he began to read the heartfelt words penned by his wife, who had vanished after revealing her pregnancy.“If you see this letter, I wanted to tell you that I love you so much,” the letter began like this.Harry cried loudly. His hands trembled on the paper as he continued to read each stroke Emilia written down. She told him what happened to her life. About the Luna’s child, Nox,
Emilia trudged wearily on her way home, her body worn and bruised. Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through her belly. "Ouch!"It wasn't yet time for her to bring a new life into the world, but the pain she felt was reminiscent of her first childbirth.Gritting her teeth, Emilia finally reached her house."Oh my gosh! What happened to you?!" Madeline, the babysitter, exclaimed."Madeline, I need your help. I think I'm about to give birth to the Alpha's baby.""What? But it's not time yet!""I don't know! Please, just help me!" she pleaded.Madeline ushered her inside. As if sensing the tension, baby Etizia began to cry.“No, don’t worry, my little one. Everything will be fine,” Emilia winced.“Come over here!” Madeline guided Emilia to the bed. While the baby continued to cry, Emilia lay down on the bed and felt the blood flowing from her core. “Ahh!” she cried out in pain.“Push! Keep pushing!” Madeline encouraged, assisting her in delivering her second child. As Emilia endured the pain,
Luna Margo was mourning over her dead child. However, the Alpha Quinn’s mate is still alive. They couldn’t believe that the Alpha had only kicked out Emilia as a maid in Alpha Quinn’s castle.Nevertheless, Emilia was happy and sad about two things. First, she’s happy that she doesn’t need to dwell with Alpha Quinn and Luna Margo. However, without money, she had to think of another way to support herself and her hidden daughter, Etizia. She couldn’t go out and hunt because Etizia would be alone in the house, and she had no money to pay the babysitter. Therefore, Emilia thought of one way. It is to ask for Luna Jasmine’s support.“Luna Jasmine was wondering about your life in Esquar,” a wolf sent by Luna uttered to Emilia. They met in the forest at midnight, making sure that no one had followed them behind.“I am doing fine,” Emilia said, caressing her stomach. The wolf who wasn’t staring at Emilia’s face noticed the sad tone of her voice.‘I can’t let Luna Jasmine know that I am pregna
Emilia looked at the bulging of her stomach. She's pregnant again, and this time, it is Alpha Quinn's child. While caressing her stomach, she looked at her first baby, Etizia. The beautiful child was staring at her while her wolf ears were up.Emilia sighed."What's there to sigh?" asked Madeline, the she-wolf from Esquar Pack, who Emilia asked to take care of Etizia while she was working as a maid in Alpha Quinn's castle. The arrogant wolf, who did nothing but extort money from Emilia, crossed her arms and grinned at her."I heard that you are the Alpha's mate. You should be happy to achieve such a feat. Although he declined to marry you because you're an Omega, at least he desired your body."Emilia clenched her fists after hearing that.An Omega. Right. She's so weak that she can't fight for herself when a strong wolf desires her body. The Alphas whom she met only wanted to get her body. The only person who treated her right was Harry.'That's why I cannot endanger his life,' Emil
Harry approached Emilia, concern etched on his face. "Emilia, are you ready to have dinner now? I've already prepared it," he gently inquired, hoping to break through her silence. However, Emilia seemed distant and detached, her gaze fixed on the outside world through the window. She remained wordless, lost in her own thoughts.Harry couldn't help but notice that Emilia had been like this for the past three days, ever since she returned from the forest. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was bothering her, something she wasn't willing to share.Despite his attempts to inquire about her well-being, Emilia insisted that she was fine, leaving Harry feeling helpless and worried. He couldn't bear to see his wife in such a state any longer; he needed to uncover the truth and understand what was happening to her.Taking a seat in front of Emilia, Harry looked into her eyes, "What's wrong, Emilia? You've been acting strangely lately," he gently probed, hoping she would open up t
Emilia lived in the forest as a rogue for too long. When she arrived in the human society with the Luna’s second baby, she had no idea how to survive. She’s not accustomed living in that place. More than that, the baby had a high fever.“Waah! Wahh!” baby Nox cried. No matter how much Emilia cradled him gently in her arms, he couldn’t stop crying.“Maybe because I ran under the heavy rain. This pup is really sick,” she worried. “And I couldn’t even take him to the human’s hospital.”Emilia wrapped the boy with the white fabric as the boy’s wolf ears were peeking out. A baby pup could not control their wolf in young age. And so, Emilia couldn’t take Nox to any hospital.“What should I do?” she cried, staring at the poor baby.As she pondered on what to do, she felt a presence near her.Emilia growled. She looked at the silhouette approaching her in the small alleyway. With one glance, she could tell that he’s a werewolf.“The baby needs medication as soon as possible,” the he-wolf sugg
The night was shrouded in darkness, with thick clouds obscuring the moon and stars, creating an eerie atmosphere. The wind howled through the trees, and rain fell heavily, filling the air with a cacophony of sound.Amidst the stormy night, Luna Jasmine was in labor. With the power out, her room was plunged into near-total darkness. Unable to make it to the Pack's hospital in time, she had no choice but to rely on the midwife wolf as the baby was ready to arrive.Amidst the raging storm outside, the only source of light in the room came from the flickering glow of a few scattered candles.During a grueling hour, Luna let out a cry of pain, "Ahh!"However, rather than pushing, she halted. She fought against it. She tensed up with each contraction, bracing herself against the agony that seemed as though a wild truck driver was ramming into her stomach."Lean into the pain," the midwife encouraged in a shrill voice. "You have to push more, Luna!""I have no idea what that entails," Jasmin
