Chapter 231 Apologies

Marco’s POV

When Skye woke up from a few days of sleep– after Matt successfully removed every splinter of the broken wood that injured her, I was beyond overjoyed.

“Hey….” I tried to speak as gently as I could manage. I was so excited to speak to her and ask her how she felt. I wanted to ask if she was hungry or thirsty, but I was so scared to upset her as she still had her hands covering both her ears. I moved closer, though. I thought if my words would be an inconvenience, I assumed my actions would be fine.

“How do you feel?” Gab asked.

I glared at him. But Gab felt my darting gaze on him, and he looked up to meet eyes with mine. Gab widened his eyes as if defensively asking me, “What?!”

I was nagging at Gab with the way my eyes spoke to him. And although only through eye contact, we were arguing with Skye in between us on the bed. I was to her left, while Gab was to her right. I did not see Matt nearby, but I did not have the right mind to bother.
