Skye’s POV

I was not stupid not to expect that when I shoot that lens of the hidden camera in Attorney Newman’s suit vest’s button, something would happen. I was ready. Or maybe my anger was just too much to give a damn about anything else.

But when we were about to face the crowd, where I was going to announce that the process of the wake would be quickened, we did not even get to the main lobby where the guests were gathered in front of the temporarily made altar, when a heart shaking sound of gunfire broke the silence of the whole surroundings.

I was shaken! I froze in my spot where Gab protectively covered his body on top of me while we were down on the ground to avoid getting hit by any flying bullet. I closed my eyes tightly as I tried to collect myself in composure.
