"What do you mean a couple of people died?" I asked, literally shaking as Simon narrated everything to me.

He shrugged, "It was not my fault. They were at the wrong place at the wrong time. They got caught up in the plan."

I stood there, extremely flabbergasted that the man I called a best friend and the better brother could just stand there and talk about a person's death like it was nothing. I turned to Kelvin for a hand in explaining what exactly was wrong, since Simon did not seem to see anything wrong with what he had done.

Kelvin sighed, then started, "Look, Kat, what has happened has happened. I mean, of course, no one wanted things to happen like that, but everything was simply out of our control. He tried to stop the fire and got caught up in it. And the person we paid to start the fire was simply... probably just someone who badly wanted to commit suicide. It was not his fault."
