Chapter 5

Three weeks passed I used to the system of the school, it is Friday, every friend evening, we go for an adventure.

We went to the cafeteria to eat lunch “ hey baby” James says “ hey” , kissing him. I did I forget to mention that he’s and Abigail are officially a couple, well kiddos to them. “ Good morning student, how was your day, hope it good well there is a competition coming up between second and first year I mean the fresher you student. It involves a lot of thing fighting, hunt, singing, cooking and soon on coming up three weeks from now, so prepare and win a goodies and table with the Edict. Farewell” headmistress said from the speaker above. The student murmured, excitement filled the air, as everybody is leaving the cafeteria to prepare for the competition

“ Well we have a competition to win, but what did they mean a table with the Edict” Annabel said wondering while chewing her French fries

“ hmm wondering the same thing” Abigail replied. I sighed “ well I guess there only one way to find out” they all nodded.

The next week’s was tedious, from class to the gym to practice, from there to bed, it being tedious for everybody, Everywhere is tense but also excitement, student Wondering  about the competition entails. Teachers preparing us for the competition.  We prepared for the competition.

The D day is here, we woke up by 6:00 to get ready. By 6:30 we are down the cafeteria, when we entered the cafeteria is full to the brim, student eating to get energy for the competition, well we had an early breakfast this morning, by 7: 00 we down the clearing, we are asked to go to and we waited for them. Student excited, some where afraid, some bored.

The headmistress came in with some teachers and those instructor we saw when we first arrived at the school. Let get the party started

“ Good morning student, well I can see the buzz coming out of you, before we that you all are to pick the people who will be your group partner, you must be four in a group. You are all adhere to obey the rules and regulations for this competition, any mistake disobeying the rule the group as a whole will be disqualified except there is more to it” the student nodded their head.

The competition will be done throughout this week, so pick your members for the your group” . The student rushed to pick their group members

Abigail, Annabel and I, we needed one more person, we would have chosen James but the school is divided into two the girls and the boys hotel and classes but we eat in the cafeteria together.

“ We need one more person” Abigail said  “ yea “ Annabel replied “hmm how on Earth are we goanna look for plus one” Annabel shrieked “ what the hell, Anna we will find one” I commented. She blushed, we search for our plus one, I saw Bridget standing alone, “ Bridget ……. Bridget” I shouted, she search everywhere wondering who calling her name. “ Bridget …… Bridget” waving my hand for her to see me, she saw me and wave back coming over “ Hey Kate” “ heyyy you in any group” “ nahhh don’t have friends here except for you” she shrugged

 “ well that good, we finally found our plus one” Annabel sang joyfully around her. Bridget Wondering who they are

“ This are my dorm mate and friend, this Annabel and that Abigail” pointing my hand toward them. “ oh HI” she chuckled “ hey” Abigail said

“ welcome baby, so nice to know you, I always wanted to have another friend apart from cause I partially see them everyday, you know” she jumping on her toes, Bridget stared at her if she is alright” “ don’t mind her she always like that” Abigail says flatly “ hmm I see” Bridget commented Annabel blushed.

 “ Since we are four how about we go register ourselves” they hummed. We went to register themselves, we named our group girl power, we laughed.

After two hour, the headmistress came back with the set of people. “ Hello, every one hope you ready for competition, today own will HUNT, those you are interested should have registered by now” she commented staring at the registrar, who nodded her head back.. “ Good, those you have registered their name for the game should come out”

Our group went out with other group, we have 10 group who are interested in the hunt. Some of them, we haven’t see them before, I guess they are the second year. I saw the girl I saw in the cafeteria with I minors I guess this should be interested. The student clapped for us, well some of them aren’t interested in the hunt, they probably interested in other games available.

“ These are the rule you must follow. Rule number 1: don’t leave any of your partner behind I mean in the same group

Rule number 2: No Fighting between your group and other group what ever hatred who have for another should stop here in this clearing.

Rule number 3: you would be given a list of items for you to find, and a puzzle for you to find it.

Rule number 4 : you must play fair and square

Rule number 5: you must not wonder off alone to find the item alone, leaving your team behind

You shall be given all the necessary thing need for the hunt. Happy hunting”

“Yes ma “ we chorus. We were given water, and medication incase one of us needed medical care.

We got ready and we lined up. The student were cheering for us.

“ Here it goes” Bridget said we hummed

We were taken to a farm house which has being abandon. “ Here, we are” the headmistress said “ you will be given the same puzzle for you to solve to go to the next. If you find the red flag, you must pick up the red flag with the item, whosoever group come first will win the prize, alright”

A Man came out with a pocket clock “ you have 30 minute, to find the item alright your time start now' he blower the whistle. We ran to the left with some group, some went to the other side. Ok we saw a envelope we took it and opened it

“ You goanna be fast with that, what did it says” Annabel said. I opened the envelope, we all peered at it, I read it out
