Why is it that everyone can forget that? Good thing she remembered.

Amethyst had always known, deep down, that her place in the family was different. Because her family is different from everyone else, and the reason why her family is different from everyone else is the reason why Amethyst wants to get out of this family to the point that she wishes she was not born here. It was an unspoken rule, a legacy passed down through generations, that women in their family were seen as lesser.
