Chapter 24 - A father's love

The door to Romeo's room shatters into a thousand pieces. Wood falls from all sides, causing Ionache to fall backwards and remain sitting where he was previously crouching. At the door, the strongest of all the vampires in the world emanated a palpable aura. Hatred, the height of his fury, the type of which he had not felt in more than 200 years, since his beloved firstborn died, was expressed in his icy red eyes. If anyone could kill with a look, it was Vlad and Ionache was his prey.

The noise made the Count run out of the bedroom, wearing pajamas and looking sleepy, guessing the tragedy that was approaching his only son. He stops next to Vlad and looks at the scene inside the room in horror. The count falls to his knees at the feet of his king.
